From what's shown he rarely gets songwriting or production credit and doesn't seem to sweat that. He most likely is a personal and spiritual contributor moreso than artistic.

Growing up listening to Prince (99 all the way to his Crystal Ball CD) I didnt take the time to catch the similarities (bite). Good ear!! And the chorus (this song lacks a bridge) is very reminiscent to Stevie (mid 70s to Square Circle albums)
