Great work as always, very creative use of the Nebula outfit. It definitely highlights why rooted hair is the bane of my existence too! I’d have loved to have seen a sculpted hair version fo Gamora as that’s definitely something hot toys haven’t done yet! Can’t wait for the next vid!
Thanks for commenting! Yeah that Nebula outfit was going to go to waste anyway so might as well. I did a Phicen swap, cut the silicone arm off and attached the mechanical arm. Really fun project and I really wanted to share it but I can already imagine the 'oversexualized' judgments lol. I guess I'll just keep it to myself. HAHA yes sculpted hair, that's a job for the professionals because the if I were to do it, the long hair would be so rigid you'd hate me for it 😂
I just found your channel and I’m binge watching your vids and came across this one. Amazing job. Amazing!! Chris Pratt is my fav and I am so dumbfounded by your starlord! I am in love!!!! Congrats on the talent!
Nice work my friend, thanks for the shout out also! Love the expression on Gamora's face, not a lot of big name brand companies are doing expressions such as this and its nice to see something different for a change. Keep up the amazing work 👍
Thanks for your constructive criticism on Loki! Yeah, neutral expressions are definitely the safer choice for companies mass producing figures. It's okay for me to mess up so I just went as crazy as I could. Next expressive sculpt will be screaming Drax!
Yup I did. I shared some information about it in my Tony Stark video here: ruclips.net/video/tAqwN3Te5vk/видео.html Basically it's oil pastels rubbed onto the body and it stays on quite well!
Quick question I’m currently working on a sculpt but the challenge I run into is how to get a proper neck connector I’m the head so that I can attach it to a hottoys body how did you add the connector ? Any tips?
Don't listen to the naysayers. People love to be mean online...because they can. I just discovered your channel with this video, but now I want to watch others. I have rooted some hair also...but they never turn out like I want. LOL! Did you ever see that guy that did the Joker hair? And the Rick from the Walking Dead? OMG! So good! I tried to copy what he did and I just can't do it like he did. I set all that aside for a while but am interested in starting again and found your channel by searching for videos on 3D printing heads for 1:6 scale figures. Now I will watch more of your videos. Also, I've subscribed! Keep doing what you do!! Also I can understand you just fine. ;o)
Been watching a few of your videos today, you make their faces look so alive! I don't know if it's just different meaning between the hobbies, but when doll customizers talk about re-root, or rooted hair, it's actually poked in to the doll's bald scalp through tiny holes and then glued through the neck hole. If you want to get a better hang of making hair wefts with yarn, check out channels like Poppen Atelier and Dollightful, there you can learn lots of techniques like how to make a really clean hair fold, boil washing the hair to get it to lay flatter etc etc. ^^ Loved your thick Thor custom, btw! I need to get me one of those bods for a custom lol.
Yup, I've seen real hair rooting on silicone heads and it's really cool. Unfortunately the material used for these heads are too hard to be poked through so I guess that's why people usually use glue for 1/6 scale. But I am sure the other techniques to deal with the hairs afterwards would still be relevant so thank you for sharing those channels, will take a look when I can1
You Showalter English REMARKABLY!!! I USUALLY use subtitles, even worth English content, because my hearing is.... weak(?), but it's not even a hundred percent necessary for me to do it to your videos!!😘❤👍
The only detail wrong to me is the head for Gamora looks flat, I think it needs more volume at the top of the head, other than that I like the way you painted her!

You can buy the connectors online separately, but I usually use blutac stuffed with some tissue to adjust the height
Love it
Thank you!

I agree! My laziness got the best of me and I added too little clay for the rooting foundation.
@@zedabyu Oh!, that's too bad because the paint job looks nice, maybe a revisit for the hair?
how do you do the face design on the computer?
I realy need a one head of David Barbour ( strenger things sheriff )
I'd probably sculpt him for the release of Season 4
Dont you Sell them ? I would Buy It 🥳😝
I don't think so, don't have time to make copies. Better use those time to make new sculpts right? 🤪
🎉😂❤😢😮😅😊😊
