You're right, Nietzsche's philosophy has a lot of humor in it. If you haven't laughed while reading Nietzsche then you aren't reading him in the right spirit. No other philosopher uses humor in their writings that I know of.
@@TheMachiavellians Thus spoke Zarathustra is full of humour, pun, mockery of the Bible, and past philosophers and concepts. It’s as if even his own concepts are meant to be treated with lightheartedness.
@@TheMachiavellians I think the closest philosophers that injects humour are French classical writers and moralists such as La Bruyère for example. Which is not surprising considering Nietzsche was heavily inspired by those classical French writers in terms of style.
Man I’m standing on top of Jung’s mandala “the self as a star out of chaos” rn and the stoic sage view is cracking up saying “how you like them apples.”
This is awesome. All this comedy talk makes me think how much wisdom and insight we missed out on not having Patrice O’Neal alive today. I think he could have competed with Chapelle and his podcast would have been insane. Can you imagine him talking to Lex Friedman or Theo Von? Breaks my heart to even think about lmao
Yes, keep them coming long, 1 hr long. Can you create a series of 5 to 9 hrs on the philosophy of Zarathustra in his stand still world. No god. Chemistry text book, no zoology, no physics textbooks, no computers, nothing, nada!
When I read Thus spoke Zarathustra, there was actually a lot of humour in it ! It’s a book that is meant to be funny in my opinion.

@@TheMachiavellians kierkegaard was also very humorous but it's extremely rare in philosophers.
“Gods delight in making fun: even where sacred actions are concerned, it seems they cannot stop laughing.”
