Katakuri was covering his atk with haki, which need à less strong haki than blocking a df ability with haki. Idk if you understood but what i want to say is that the basics of armament are enough to nullify every physical abilities of df while for the abilities that you can't defend yourselves you need to have advanced haki.

His adv obs haki can keep up with law and can predict each move he performs, and law needs better attack speed like zoro.

Next Katakuri also takes speed because he was blitzing Luffies G2, G3 and G4 like it was some sort of joke.
