  • This is the MIDI tutorial for my composition "Embers of the Past". It's a short waltz I composed inspired by feelings of loneliness.

Hey Joshua! Beautiful work as always! It would be amazing if you tried composing something in another key signature like 2/4, maybe a Mozart like polka, or maybe an opera! Who knows! I think it will open your musical mind a lot, bringing more ideas! You have a unique and precious talent, I mean, you are bringing back classical music! And that is a lot! Keep up the good work, master!
(Also, this part 1:08 is beyond sublime 😊)

Ever since I first heard your music I've loved every piece. Please keep making piano music. I would also like to say that you should also keep making videos in which you discuss your ideas and questions you are faced with on a daily basis. Do not get discouraged.

I LOVE this piece! Is there a chance you make sheet music for it?

I'll probably be taken for an idiot but I really like your music and would love to learn it, except that the only piano there is is in my school and my family can't afford one. courses so in general I do everything self-taught. If you knew what I would give to have a simple version of just one of your sounds :(

Have you thought of working on a cruise line? They seem to pay well and have good working conditions.

I suggest composing pieces in another key signature other than 3/4. It's not because it's bad, I think your compositions in 3/4 are lovely though, but because I think it's time you try something new, be creative with your music, try different sets of harmonic, try different ways to support the melody. Again, your pieces are what I can only dream of making, but these few are my suggestions, hope it helps!

I love Joshua's waltzes and other works in 3/4 but what you said is true, either way I'm sure anything he makes will be amazing.

You are totally right! His 3/4 compositions are very unique and beautiful! Yet, it would be awesome if he tried something different, maybe a Mozart like polka!
