I like the fact that Joe B is under center more times this season than previous years. What I don't understand is the lack of play action on 2nd and short. It happened at least twice against Cleveland yesterday. They followed through with runs and none produced a first down, one actually lost a yard. Those are prefect times for quick hitters past the chains and who knows what YAC would be.
I thought Bengals just needed to win out and Denver lose out and they'd be in. Also need Indy and Miami to lose at least one. Very low odds of all of that happening. I always enjoy the Bengals winning, but most likely this is just going to make fans realize how disappointing the early season losses were and drastically lower their draft position. But next year will be most likely dependent on if they can fix the defense a bit, and stay healthy overall.

We aren't THAT bad, we aren't good either & that isn't good enough. It's inexcusable that this team is 7-8. Be it coaching blunders, missed FG's, horrid defense & timely turnovers, we have shot ourselves in the foot over and over again. We've dug ourselves too deep of a hole. This staff, McPherson, and about 7 guys on defense need to go. Hire Vrabel, retain Pitcher (to keep offensive scheme the same), and give Vrabel a fresh new defense with 75+ million dollars of added talent. I know this is all wishful thinking. Zac is going to be our coach, but hopefully we do not let beating bad offenses prevent us from adding significant talent & also evaluating the staff.
