the cuban players in the MLB are defectors and far more skilled. once they defect and illegally leave Cuba they no longer associate with the country. everyone who plays for the Cuban national team actually lives there and tend to have less skill.
For my entire life everyone in the US has been saying that the Cubans are the best after the US. Well I never believed it. In the Serie del Caribe they now participate and they do not dominate that tournament. Not even close. Mexican and the Dominican Republic are better than they are.
When they say that. Its about history .Cuba was otu Serie del caribe for more than 60 years but before that Cuba won almost all of them. Also cuban MLB or any who plays outside the country cant represent the natinal l team and in do many cases cant even visit the island or family. Also The mlb cant have academies in Cuba. And to finish cuban goverment dont let people watch on tv the games of MLB. And even like that they are right CUBAN TEAM ITS AND WILL BE CUBAN TEAM
