Not for me, not in the 21st Century. Too many flotsam cargo containers. You hit one of those at 8 knots and before you know it you are trusting your life to the lifeboat. In every boat magazine test on inflatable lifeboats at least one ALWAYS fails to open. What do you do then? Die like a gentleman I suppose? More of these larger yachts need to have watertight foam filled linings to make them unsinkable. Why spend money on a rubber dingy that might not open when you most need it? Just make the whole yacht a lifeboat!
Awesome yacht, amazing amount of space, the master cabin especially, don’t think I have seen a yacht with such a airy feel to it. Definitely in my lottery list. Great tour as always Nick, glad you found the hanging space eventually 🥴
What a superb yacht. The owner has clearly loved and cared for it as it’s in fantastic condition. There’s just so much space and an amazing master cabin. Wow … thank you for sharing this one on your channel
Nick, you never cease to amaze us! Just when we think you've shown us one of the finest boats before and then turn around and show us one of these fantastic beauties! I honestly can't think of anything to dislike about this boat because it has everything one could need.
Whilst I have no sailing experience, your tours are so fabulous as to get me to watch this one, and not only was I not just plodding through the video, but was absolutely impressed! Absolutely no compromises--trans-Atlantic worthy, gorgeous presentation, and sumptuous accommodations!
A lovely yacht, really nice interior and I love the owners cabin. True transatlantic travel as well. Good access to the engine as well for a change. Cheers Nick
Wow, the interior is like a work of art. Love the curves and clean lines. Some very clever woodwork involved. I also love the clean deck lines many sailing yachts seem very busy on deck.
And thank you Nick for this show of the Discovery 58 a sail boat with a Captitol A for all oceans to sail to and thank you for bringing this for us on this Friday
I think I missed this one, wonderful yacht and I am loving seeing more and more sailing yachts on AQUAHOLIC! And I do love sitting down in the evening ready to tuck myself away with a good book; but not before watching a yacht tour! Thanks Nick!
Hey Nick what an awesome looking yacht they have managed to use every inch of space while giving that palatial feeling you spoke of, Another brilliant tour from you so thank you and I hope you have a great day bud
Hi Nick. This 58 is very open, natural light and welcoming. Previous 48S and 2015 blue 58. All great yachts and Discovery are solid world cruiser. Great walkthrough video tour thanks 😊
Not normally too keen on sailing yachts, but I was engrossed in this one Nick! Fantastic, and would happily cross the Atlantic on this beauty. Seems pretty good value as well.
Great sailing boat. I love the engineering space. So practical when you're taking on something big and adventurous. Lots of spaces for dry goods and gear. I love it!
That's a fantastic layout on a sailing yacht! Love the space dedicated to the galley. I'd like imagine if you were at sea for a few weeks, you'd get very claustrophobic in a small galley area. Thanks again for a great tour!
Small galleys are very advantageous when out on the open ocean and the boat is rocking and rolling. Having shelves and walls nearby to brace yourself against makes cooking possible in those conditions.
What a beautiful yacht, the amount of space inside that hull is very impressive, the detail built into things like the nav station & the living space are fantastic, well worth a million bucks!. 👊😉👍
It's like a used car. 1 million, is a lot. I rather try to get the best Hallberg Rassy 50, I could get for a million, Swedish built, and has many awards. It's made to the weather we have in Northern Europe. Merry Xmas
Nick I was taken across the Atlantic to NYC by my father on a discovery . I don’t remember the size I think 58. I do remember every aspect of the voyage. Just me at 8 yrs and my father. Quite special.
Always so grateful for these. I've always dreamed of a sailboat, but as I get older motorboats seems a better and better idea. I love the edge detail around the top of all of the woodwork. For any who want Yachting World and Yachting Monthly have more action sailing reviews, but they have their own point of view on boating and do not cover motorboats.
What a beautiful bluewater boat. And just so well laid out to allow it to be sailed double handed. With the bow thruster, little problem with that length manouvering in tight quarters either. I could happily see myself sailing that round the Pacific Islands. The solar panel above the davits would probably provide enough power for most day to day requirements without having to fire up the generator a lot either. Great accommodation and roomy enough for six people if required.
Absolutely enjoy all of your videos. One thing I’d like to see is the mention of Freshwater capacity and any onboard systems to “make” freshwater. I know you touched on it just briefly in the end. However I’d like to understand more about the systems capabilities.
I think this is my favourite sailing yacht that you have done a tour of I can just dream of taking her to the Mediterranean or the Caribbean what a beautiful boat fantastic tour is always Nick 👍🇨🇦
This is amazing. I'm especially a fan of the engineering spaces and all that tooling. Really smart layout overall too. Thanks for that tour as always, Nick! It now leaves me thinking too: If a 58-footer is already this luxurious, what about sailing superyachts? 🤔 Would be nice to see you bring us aboard one someday! 😅😅
Wow 🤩 terrific tour - so much respect for the owners - the definition of ship-shape with that engine room cleaner than a lot of folks keep their fridge ! and the hanging tools - inspirational 🌠👏👏
the engine compartment was very well laid out and the inside was perfect in every way, on top there wasn't any garage which I prefer but it's not to everyone's taste , overall thou a very nice boat
Considering the distance this boat covered on one journey by one couple and their dog it is in remarkable condition and looks brand new. A beautiful boat that any boat lover would lust after but there are not many of us (eluding me) who can afford over one million pounds for a boat. But we can all dream
It always disappoints me when a thumbnail indicates an action review, but Nick’s reviews never disappoint and more than makes up for it. What a fabulous yacht, I’m now stuck between a Discovery and an Oyster for my offshore fantasies.
An in-use active review is a much bigger production. Much more time, access permission, and owner buy-in needed. That said, I agree with you about getting my hopes up. Still love these walk-thru’s though!
Oh Nick.. this was a beautiful boat.. really makes me kick my butt for not learning how to sail back in the 70 when I had a chance.. not I am 70 and have no chance..
@@AQUAHOLIC Well my short term memory is shot full of holes like swiss cheese and that is just that part that escaped the 60's still intact.. Same with my body.. one bullet is still to close to my spine and I am to old to care.. But thanks for the encouragement Nick.. your that kinda guy and I appreciate you for it!
Nick. I honestly think that you could be in the Guinness book of world records for pressing the most buttons. Can you even imagine how many you have pressed in-and-out over the years?
Nick, another great review as always, but I must point out that Propane being heavier than air will not rise out of a locker and float away. Something from my caravanning days mate.
It sure won't, which is why there's a drain in the base that goes directly overboard. Otherwise it would accumulate in the bilges, and that is not a good thing! 🙂
Hi Nick, I discovered Aquaholic a few weeks ago and, like so many others, I've been binge watching your videos ever since to the point where I feel I've watched almost all of them. Chancing my luck here, but would you, on a rainy winter's day, consider doing a watch collection video? I've noticed a black dial dive watch in some of your early videos; and an orange dial (Seiko?) diver when it seems like the watch might get wet; and an Omega Seamatser with a blue dial; and what looks like a Rolex GMT II Master; and in some of the more recent videos a dressy white dial chrono; not to mention your Garmins and whatnot. I reckon a watch collection video would be well received... if by no one else at least by me!
Beautiful sail boat. Think we'd like to see some of the behind the scenes, what you do to prep the tour before filming. Appreciate all the tours and work that goes in to this successful channel. Going out on Smugglers Blues sometime soon?
Shame the appliance (washing machine) at 10:39 didn’t get a name check, but I chortled to myself anyway 😁. Lovely interior. Very easy to spend lots of time onboard and all well laid out. Thanks for another interesting Friday tour Nick.
One would certainly need to learn how to actually sail to enjoy this amazing yacht, both on the seas and at anchor in some lovely place. Perhaps a solar cat might be more my taste to get both space and low maintenance.
This is by far the best sailing yacht you've ever shown. I would go cross Atlantic in this craft anytime. Awesome vessel !!!
Not for me, not in the 21st Century. Too many flotsam cargo containers. You hit one of those at 8 knots and before you know it you are trusting your life to the lifeboat. I really like the tool pouch hanging on the engine compartment door too.........🙂
This has to be one of my favorite sailing yachts. Very well laid out and equipped.
Awesome yacht, amazing amount of space, the master cabin especially, don’t think I have seen a yacht with such a airy feel to it. Definitely in my lottery list. Great tour as always Nick, glad you found the hanging space eventually 🥴

Yes! Thank you for listening to my request and bringing more sailing boats to the channel
Your videos helps me every time to come down and relax after a busy day. Thanks a lot nick! Beautiful yacht!
Glad you like them!
Stunning vessel. Very spacious, and the lighter wood helps with that too. And extremely well maintained! Great tour as always! Thank you!
Thank you very much!

I've seen a few Discovery's now and I've got to say, I'm rather taken by them. Great use of space, quality builds and very stylish. Thanks Nick.

I love that dolphins are so prone to playing in the bow waves, that we’ve designed accommodations for watching. Pretty cool.
Love to see more S/Y boats on the channel - keep up the excellent work Nick

Absolutely beautiful sailboat! Love the wood color. Thanks, Nick!
Safe to say... that is the nicest layout I've ever seen on a sailboat.
Thanks a bunch for the tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great sailing boat. I love the engineering space. So practical when you're taking on something big and adventurous. Lots of spaces for dry goods and gear. I love it!
You know what, I'm actually beginning to love sailing yachts now after only pining for a motor yacht for years, all thanks to Nick 😉
Keep up the good work man. Keep our tongues lolling. Nice Nick.
What a lovely sailing yacht ! Lovely interior and cabins. Thanks Nick 😊
"because I think the inside is the most interesting bit of this yacht..."
Only a motor boater could say that :-D
Great video yet again Nick. Thanks
What a fantastic, gorgeous yacht! Truly global reach! Amazing! Thanks for the tour and have a great weekend.
Thank you! You too!
Beautiful boat.
Wow, wonderful design. Love to head to England from Canada in that sailboat. Beautiful set up.
What a wonderful looking boat in that yard,,, the Discovery looks nice too !!
Great boat, superb tour.
Thanks Nick, have a great weekend. 🍻
Love the tool door. Great video
Was that a lightsaber at 4:45?!?! This is a beautiful boat. I love my wind power. Thanks Nick.
Wow massive boat Nick Sir.. Love the wood work ... finishing is great.. And looking Dashing Nick Sir..
Oh yeah! Lunch break and a new aquaholic video!
Thanks Nick!
Enjoy!
@@AQUAHOLIC great video as always! And I see that you’re getting fond of the cruising dream.
Will we get to see an Amel any time soon?
I really like these deck saloon sailing vessels. Really bright and open feeling.

I usually I'm not into sailing boats but this one is really nice!
Superb layout for a sail boat and spacious and comes with a tool kit 😎👍
Why do they not build motor yachts like this... this is by far one of the most beautiful yachts you looked at
