Not sure where you are looking but you can't buy a 55 gallon drum for anywhere near $10! A plastic bucket from lowes is $5!! Also with this drywell the sides are a lot stronger than any plastic drums so it won't cave in. Do your homework and stop smoking your socks.
How a 50 gallon capacity "Flow Well" is supposed to hold a down spout water? A medium house roof during a heavy rain can release up to 50.000 gallons of water and a big house roof the double. But I will use a "Flow Well" to install a sump pump on it if it doesn't work, as a last alternative
This looks interesting but I am strongly concerned about cave-in over time. How much structural load / weight is this FloWell rated for? It seems like the plastic could get brittle with time eventually until one day it collapses when someone is walking (or riding a mower) over it.
@@jasonhilton_1 But do you work for NDS ? Everything decays. Esp in the ground with a substantial water source. I suspect there could be an issue over time though as sheer force where the cover meets the top of the side will be substantial when say a person on a riding mower moves over it. That coupled with the product's aging over time could spell disaster, which is my concern. Plastics tend to get brittle over time too...
i need this for water softener with salty water waste. dont want the grass and plants to die. this should work. if i just dug a pit with rocks in it the rain would over flow it. probably. i guess. ill give it a try.
KJD no shit moron, you should wrap your rock and pipe both you stunned fuck stick, then off to a dry well, but we already covered that above. Thanks for demonstrating your stunned fuck stupidity there as well.
Already displeased with this product and it isn't even in the ground yet. Attempted to remove knockout as described in video and the side wall of the flo well broke out, not the knockout. There is no outline for the Universal Locking outlet so it does not just twist in place as described. This is causing delays in completion which cost even more money. This is not leading to ANY trust in NDS products.
French drain is much more effective and much cheaper. Even with a sump system (if needed)....If your yard has a lot of clay, then a dry well is not a way to go because the water will take too long to be absorbed with a dry well system...Right now that EZ flow is ridiculously expensive compared to 4" corrugated and perforated pipe. Watch the "Apple Drains" videos they explain much better...
I don't understand why this costs so much. Any thick walled plastic container with weep holes and a large hole for drainage pipe entry would do the same job. Rip off.
This is all wrong, you put a good couple of feet of gravel underneath the dry well. Also surround it with gravel only. Don't both with the easy flow, it's just an expensive gimmick.
My Flo-Well side panel has no obvious way to connect an NDS universal locking outlet. The knockout/cutout is sized for a 4” pipe.
The lid just sits on top? How does it attach
Do these have to be a certain distance away from buildings, etc.?
55 gallon barrel for $10.00 or flow well I’m still trying to decide

Yeah I used plastic 55 gallon barrel, drilled my holes as needed and it doesn't come in 4 pieces25 bucks
Where did you get your plastic 55 gallon drum? Link to it please. Is it designed to be buried and handle weight?
Hi, Can you post a link to the pipeless bundles you use as an alternative to gravel? thanks
The Flo Well and the Filter Fabric have the same part number?
If I’m just wrapping the flo well with the ez flo and not directly connecting it to the flo well, how many drain holes do you recommend punching out?
Can i use 4” corrugated drain pipe instead of a solid pvc pipe?
Yes

I don't see that ever decaying. Peob take over 100 years or more
@@jasonhilton_1 Do you work for NDS ?
Common sense garbage will be here forever. It's not decaying. You have to use a brick and a hammer just to punch out holes

is that wrap-around pipe that was used instead of gravel connected to any of the outlets below?
Man if only my soil was like that.

Thanks NDS
Is this strong enough to have a riding mower go over it?
Hello! Thansk for reaching out. Yes, tt can handle the load of a riding mower
Wouldn't a normal drywell be easier...and cheaper.
Dear God, get a mini excavator to dig and or the power trencher.
what if the sand enter the pipe? are there is filter?

Using a hammer caused damage for me as well. Now, I treat the grooves as guides for where to cut.
+1. On my flo-well, there is no outline for the ‘universal locking outlet’. Bummer.
It looks kind of flimsy putting the three walls together- hmmm

Agree. Chuck from apple drains is the man!
Do you have the model/manufacturer of the cordless saw they used to cut out the adapter hole in the flow well?
Hi Keegs, my dad owns a tool distributor, I'm pretty sure the Sawzall pictured is Milwaukee.
Yeah before I dig I’m going to call all of those places😂
By law, you have to 🤦🏼♂️
