I like the sound of the alarms here, and I also like the location of this level crossing in the pleasant village too, and both of these reasons were why I enjoyed coming here back in September (around a month before this was filmed). Pretty cool just how fast some of the trains pass there too. Awesome video with a very nicely captured Autumnal colour scheme in the backdrop! 👍👍😁

That crossing stays down for so long before a train arrives. Wouldn't drivers get impatient? American crossings activate often 30 seconds before a train comes.
Its the way the crossings in the UK work. Some are automatic but some are manually controlled like this one so a train wouldn't be able to proceed unless the crossing is confirmed clear by a signaller either from a signal box or via CCTV.
