Missions already exist. Also, I think instead of making a gun only or melee only mode they should just make melee more powerful and guns easily counterable. For example, you can already break someone's right arm to disable them from using guns.

As someone who played both Blackout and Criminality Right now at this time, Blackout wins in gameplay but Criminality has overall better community. Not to say there aren't any good people in Blackout, but especially when you start out, you'll find out that 99% of people are sweats who are 40 levels above you and shoot you the moment they see you, while you have virtually no fighting chance with your vest and glock. That being said, once Blackout goes free, it's absolutely worth to buy, but paid access game would drive away the casual players who make Criminality much more fun. It also drives off hackers apparently, even though I saw one in Blackout before too (unless heartbeat sensor is a thing). Criminality weirdly feels more balanced as I did kill players with 3k worth of gear with starter stuff, but that just doesn't seem to be possible in Blackout. Blackout goes for more realism which would be cool if all actually good things werent locked behind level which you have to endlessly grind for (in a paid game btw). In short, as long as Blackout is paid, it will be infested with sweats who not only kill but target low level players. That in turn drives off casual players (and those who bought it regret doing so), so it will just see a steady increase of more sweats. Later on if it goes free, and if casual players get into it, I would absolutely recommend it, but at that point it will be free anyway.
Hopefully, this isn't just another PvP sandbox. Abit more spice in gameplay where survival is not just a suggestion would be a nice change of pace for Roblox games of this category. Players would actually need to understand how the world functions instead of just "See Someone, Kill Someone. Accumulate Money. Repeat". It's shallow game design that's been done a hundred times over now
I really like the idea of parkour, so I feel like they should take time to make parkour feel actually good and nice. They should try to take inspiration from Dying Light 2's parkour, which idk if they did or not cause it looks pretty similar. Adding mechanics like vaulting, rolling when landing, dropkicks and stuff would be sick Speaking about dropkicks, melee would be more fun if there was some stuff like shoves and grapples, just adding more variety in melee combat. Replacing blocking with parrying and heavy attacks is already a good move on them. Now, for something that is very unlikely of being added to the game as it might not fit too well; building and bases and such, kinda like rust, but more limited. If you could go around collecting metal and planks and such then proceed to build a small fortified base on top of a roof where you could store your valuable loot, maybe being able to create a special stash that you can put your stuff in. You would have to be strategic with where you place stashes, perhaps hiding them in dumpsters, trash bins or even stuff like large AC units on roofs. In a later game, you could collect the stuff you put in it by calling in a drone to drop your stash on a random place or at your desired location for a cost. The drone will be small and quiet, but if spotted can be shot down for the stash to get collected. Building wouldn't be anything too crazy, it is not meant for building huge forts or houses; it is meant for making small outposts or huts that you can run to for safety or if you need stuff. A big map might be needed for this, but as I said this is a really far-fetched concept and just made to spark ideas and stuff anyways blackout looks sick and I am excited for it, im gonna stop blabbering now
Just looking at the gameplay shown here, the game looks amazing. Though I just hope it loses the 'better criminality' personality people are giving it, Because the game is its own standalone game and to compare it to criminality wouldn't be true. plus whats criminality gonna do about the game if/when it comes out, complain? since you cant take a game down if its just a simple premise your game does too, dangerous place with combat where you can loot and buy guns from people-
getting npcs from friendly factions to join your squad is one thing id wanna see, as well as base defence missions if you're allies with a faction thay gets raided
