  • The purpose of this repair was to try and correct the car blowing oily smoke at certain times, and to try and correct a possible cause of fouling spark plugs.
My assumption is that oil may be getting past the valve seals and leaking into the cylinders. I planed to replace the valve springs at the same time.
Once I had the head off I found something else to fix first. Certainly not the professional way to fix the issue, but it’s my car and I think this will work. This video is for your entertainment only.

I would have threaded the big hole and put a fine thread iron plug and re surfaced that thing. But you got it good. Theres not very much compression in that engine.

That would make some sense but it didn’t overheat while I’ve owned it. My guess is that I didn’t notice when I first assembled it. At least it won’t move again. Thanks for your comment.

That Brass plug issue you had happened to me causing water in C3. The guy who fixed it said it may have been overheating that caused it ??. Apparently its common
