@@kakacech I enjoyed playing him all my time in Tekken, but I quit because I wanted to play WoW instead :) I think you should give him a shot, he is still decent at a low level, but you can take him quite far by mastering some of the harder combos as well, so I think it’s a great pick for a main. damn i never knew dragunov could do an instant ws 4. i keep seeing jdcr uses it after the counter hit on wr 2. i used to do micro dash into crouch and releasing instantly to hit that ws 4, it works but the down into df4 is super much easier. thanks for the info dude!

Better combo off f 1+2 is: f 1+2 -> QCF 2 -> 3,1 -> 1 -> f,3,d/f -> crouch cancel -> 3,1,d/f -> 1+2. Difficult but offers 11 more damage than the difficult combo listed in the video

Hello, I'm starting Tekken 8,my first fighting game and first tekken, immediately fell in love with dragunov gameplay. But I can't find on Internet, how do I do the "takedown" move? There are 3 moves in dragunov movelist that specify, during takedown, it's sort of a sidestep crouch, can't find how to do it and didn't find in your video can you help ?
As a beginner player i've decided to learn dragunov and his advanced combo, and the problem is i cant connect 3,1 df 1+2 in the end, that last shoulder hit just misses every time. Is it me or it has something to do with his 3.10 nerf?
Why is it harder to get back to neutral (with Up) after 3,1,df than f+3,df ? I'm very experienced but can't seem to be able to connect the 4,4 in time ever. Very nice vid btw. There's always room to learn more ;)
Practice the right timing.. If too early it will do the QCF4, if late it will not connect..try other move for now like d+4 4 after foreward crouch dash to practice your timing. Thats what i did and now i can do it even my eyes are close.. By the way forward crouch dash then b+4 3 is much harder than 4 4..

I played with Dragunov since start. I tried other easier characters like Jack 7, Paul, Feng, Bryan but I end up sticking with Dragunov. MOST COMPLETE CHARACTER.
So qq from a Tekken noob here, what's the viability of using Dragunov's throws as extra punishes after his standard punishing moves? I find myself using that tactic a lot, and I'm not sure if I'm onto something or if I'm doing something completely wrong.
Duke KC Been experimenting some more this morning, may have came up with an alternative method of Drag's BT low mixed with my aforementioned throw punish strat. Essentially after a successful block punish, I'd use either my 1+3 or 2+4 throw (mainly 2+4 since it puts them behind Drag with his back turned), then performing the BT low thing. Haven't gotten the hang of it completely, but I think I've got a somewhat okay idea of my beginner/intermid punishing game, even if it's turning out to be easily readable by more experienced players. (I only have experience against AIs, since I have no Online March-Up subscriptions like Xbox Live or PS Plus.) I'm hoping that once I do get some Online stuff I'll start reaching more of my potential. I have some experience in Soul Calibur, which gave me some help in stumbling my way through Tekken 7 for the first time. Just wanna say on behalf of all of my fellow noob brethren, we appreciate you and your contemporaries' work in making getting good at the game more simple for us. Edit: My bad, 2+4 doesn't do the back turn thing, I've got the memory and attention span of a lobotomized goldfish.
Its not that it isn't viable, its just kinda trash as a punish over 4, 1 anyway so it's not worth listing. It's the same reason I don't mention df4 as a 12f punish
@@MishimaTyler I know about 3,1 snk is nearly impossible now but you can connect it to a bigger character now. I'm talking about the combo ender f4, snk cancel into 4,1 it common nearly everyone can do it but not me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
You should watch a video about framedata on Tekken. If you dont find a good video you can ask me again because its pretty much to take in for the first time.
Combos are meh but good beginner guide. Bit of inconsistency downplaying df1 as mid poke only to emphasize it again in the gameplay section. Also stop diving deep into defending against punishers , its confusing.

I just picked up drag after patch so im hella confused, do I just legit find a season 2 combo guide and do those now? since the changes.

The dragunov player can act 6 frames before the opponent can.

is df+1 not a viable punishment? it's just skipped over but is mentioned in the i14 section of the punishment part. it being an i13
