Penance is in a weird position, only when the lane is in just the right amount of pressure will she shine, not too high that her shield just melts without getting kills, but also not so low that someone else like mountain can also solo it with a much lower DP cost.
Since Penance's shield is based off her hp, she gains more value to it. Although Texas IS worth it as well, she has a module that can help her even without much level, which Penance does not.
I pull for her, did 140 pulls and no texas but got 5 Penance so pot 4 is nice and got Saria to so im happy, still have 190 pulls but gonna save them for Qiubai and Yato
I got her to pot 6 while pulling for Texas alter, I honestly had no plans of trying to get her. But damn, max pot with s2 or s3 does so much work. Glad to have full potted her. She has a permanent spot for anyone to use when they find her
Mudrock is good because she heals BUT if Penance were able to kill lots of trash mobs she'll outclass Mudrock in some point if Penance killing enemies will be consistent Her shield can actually stall Patriots second phase attacks and she can replace Mudrock because of Skadi Alt existence

No, it’s a fair comparison. When they release a character with greater general coverage than a previous one, the unit’s value naturally diminishes. Sure they can retain a niche, but how often is that niche going to be significant enough to say that they’re still an equal value unit to what they were before. Surtr for example still retains greater tanking power than Texas, but 90% of the time, it would be easier to bring texas in a blind run due to her fast on demand damage. Surtr’s still good, but now i have a character who can fulfill her big damage helidrop aspect with a lower cooldown. This makes me feel like bringin Surtr a lot less than before
Yeah, Mudmud still has the advantage of having the busted triple regenerative shield and the spinbonk. She's good for holding against slow, powerful physical mob.

In most stages, Penance has replaced her as a solo laneholder. I have both, but I rarely use Mudrock now. Use Mudrock in the current global event and you'll see just how easy it is for her to get overwhelmed compared to Penance in practically every stage. My Penance hasn't even died once there whereas Mudrock gets clapped as soon as they enter rage mode
For some reason my impresion on her just meh. Defendsive recovery is a pain to manage, atleast with offendsive i can use stainless s3. People said she powercreep mudrock no no she isnt

If you get her and mudrock together thats 2 lanes you dont have to worry about

It's the CN server. Penance's module hasn't been released yet in global or CN
