Fantastic and very helpful video. You are just amazing teacher and i hope you will make one video of how to fix the hole on socks or any kind of knitted piece. I found two videos of that but they were very fast and not even close to yours. Keep fingers crossed you make one video of that.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤️
FINALLY! An answer to my question to avoid the ears! By the way, I have always said…knit off, purl on and purl off, knit on. Someone else says it that way. Thank you!
This is wonderful! I have done the kitchener toes the same way, but never knew where to sink the final piece of yarn. Understanding what is happening to the stitches makes perfect sense rather than memorizing. Thanks!
Okay my friend, two things: 1. this is so effing brilliant. As always. So much better than doing it "right." 2. When I started this video, Steve heard it from the next room and said "I know that voice! Hi Patty!"
Great! I always place my stitches flat to graft (as adviced by E. Zimmerman), but for some reason I ended up Grafing in purl.... Now I see that it is because I "entered" the stitches always from the same side.... Thank you very much!
@@PattyLyonsKnitting I think it's because I knit a full round across before starting the increases. This round is making the ears. Without it it is less!
The best teacher ever! ❤
This just clicked! Your explanation just cleared up the knit off purl on… just by showing what the stitches are actually doing! Thank you!
This is hands down the best Kichener tutorial ever. Thank you!
Thank you so much I love the way you did closing the socks learned a lot today.
Thank YOU, Patty!!
It is so comforting to know you are always a click away when I get stuck and have a panic attack about some form of knitting. Thank you!!
Fabulous! This is just what I needed to understand and help remember the steps in Kitchener. Thank you!

Best demonstration of Kitchener stitch without the ears ever!!! Thanks Patty. Clear, precise and beautifully done!
Love this Patty! I pull it up every time and some day I will be able to do it without video I hope!
Best explanation!
Melhor explicação!

The way you explained this makes so much sense now. Thank you!
Thank you Patty! You always explain everything so well :)

HI STEVE!!! (should I just start each video that way?) ❤️😂❤️
Best comment!! Literally made me smile !
Patty!!!!! You are a flipping GENIUS! Yes!!!
I thank you so much for your teaching style! You always show your viewers/students the how AND the why and the way. You rock!!!👏👏👏👏👏👍💕
Thank you so much! I had figured out the beginning of the toe, but that left me with a one-eared vision. Now I get to be earless!
Thanks so much. I even had a sock toe ready to graft 😀
Love, love, love this video! I have it starred in my email where I stash it for instant use!
This video is life changing!!! Thank you SO much!!!!!
Very nice!
Your tips are always extraordinary. 💐
I like your technique thank you ‼️

This is incredibly helpful!
Very nice video. I hope you’ll make a video of doing kitchener in pattern stitches other than stockinette.
I show grafting in non stockinette in Advanced Knitting Fixes - pattylyons.com/product/advanced-fixes-in-knitting/
Very nice. Thank you!
awesome thank you
Where were you 20+ years ago when I was learning the Kitchener and crying??? :-)
Brilliant!
Wonderful! Don't do it "right", do it BETTER! :D Thank you SO much!
This is awesome; I never remember the set up anyway. I could do all the rest of it from memory, just not the setup.
Wow
So no set up rows needed?
Thanks for sharing this! Have any secrets to avoid the ears on toe-up socks?
I never get them! I use Judy's magic cast on and the toe is perfect.
Patty Lyons I used it too, maybe I need to pay more attention to my tension lol. Thanks for answering! 🤗
Is there a video to make Judys magic CO without the ears please?
I have never had an issue with Judy's magic cast on.
