  • In a well-travelled world, tourists are now looking for something different when they go on holiday. It's seen the rise of voluntourism - volunteering while on vacation which makes everybody feel good right? Or is it taking advantage of the volunteers and the people they are supposed to be helping?

    unfortunately, the interviewer interrupting and talking over his guests totally distracted from the conversation

    I don't like how rude the interviewer cuts people talk and mute the uganda representative talk.

      That's right! we can see how disappointed he(Uganda) is through his face. The interviewer should respect other's opinions politely.

    This was a very good discussion. On the issue of voluntourism taking away the agency of local communities it goes back to that old saying of “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. I think through practical education locals will be able to use their own abilities it will create better communities and revive eco systems.

    Voluntourism are the best programs for cultural experince these community projects shouldnt be based on orphanges alone there so many projects to be done
