Not necessary for stock svho poweplants. Yamaha superchargers are very reliable until you push the design. Always fun to go faster though if you have the pocket book and time to work on things. Nice video!
Hey guys, I’ve just gone with a stage two set up and 9200 tune on my 2022 FX, I also had to repurchase my 13/18 impeller to 13/20 as I was hitting the limiter her in Australia, do I need the shaft upgrade for my set up as it appears not to be listed on Riva as a recommend part for the 9200 tune?
Daniel Corcho yes the housing still needs to be pinned. If you upgrade the supercharger impeller then you also need to install the RIVA supercharger shaft upgrade kit. All of these parts are available discounted on the greenhulkstore.com use discount code greenhulk at checkout
I’m picking up a 2020 AR240 today and and wondering why I can’t find anything about possibly supercharging those motors. My understanding is that Yamaha already produces those engines with SC. Any idea of what else would be necessary in terms of hardware and engine management?
You would need to buy supercharged engines from a supercharged boat, or Waverunner and swap them in. The naturally aspirated engines don’t have the oil galley in the block to feed oil to the supercharger. Also the naturally aspirated engines have high compression pistons, too high for superchargers. If you want supercharged engines you really should just buy a boat that has supercharged engines.
Just bought a 2017 GP1800. Would you recommend these parts to bulletproof a stock setup? Links in video description would more easily push some orders to your site. If you sold a screw with instructions and tap/die settings I would pay $5 for it and order the gear/shaft/bearing think at the same time. Also would help for a good instruction guide and torque specs. Thanks!
It looks like this is the shaft with bearing support I would need. And then I just drill/tap and buy a screw at home depot to pin the inner and outer housing to itself? www.4-tecperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_82_163&products_id=1843
Congrats on the new ski! Upgrading the supercharger shaft is not needed for a stock supercharger. Instructions on pinning the supercharger housing are here on the GreenHulk forum greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=230659
My 2014 svho works fine. But it's not having that kick when accelating? I can't seem to troubleshoot the problem. If anyone has this problem with this model. Can you reply. Thanks
So your saying my 2014 svho supercharger shaft is a 1 piece design as opposed to the pressed on 2 piece shaft on 2015 and up?

my butt..mine went out with 55 hours
I was trying to call you to order parts to rebuild my supercharger clutch. It is impossible to reach you.

Can you drill and tap without removing the supercharger? Or can you remove the front cover only.
Remove the supercharger to do this
By any chance do you remember the size/measurement of the tap you used for this ?
If the turbine impeller is replaced, then what can be replaced?
Is the f1 wheel just a drop in part or do I need to upgrade other stuff to support that wheel I have a Dean's team Reflash 8600 rpm
Is that the same with the new 2021 I just bought? Because I'm about to do a stage 2
Do you recommend doing all these steps on a 2018 GP supercharger and do you still have to screw or pin it

Can you just drop in that f1 wheel? I have a Dean's team tune to 8650 rpm
You will need 1000cc injectors and a tune for those injectors
