Hugo: Poison! The gang! What the hell happened to the gang? Poison: Guy killed them. Hugo: Killed? Why didn't our friends from out of town help? Poison: Guy killed them. Hugo: Wait... the new recruits! Where are they? Poison: Guy killed them. Hugo: D... do our contacts in City Hall know about this? Poison: Killed. Guy. [Poison holds up a shining new wrestling contract. Hugo sighs deeply before signing it verrrry slowly.]
He is! He's originally from Final Fight 1, but they brought him into Street Fighter Alpha. Cody, Sodom, Rolento and Hugo are also Final Fight characters.
Beat-'em-up speedruns do stack heavily toward cold-blooded efficiency, but there are a few where the player needs to use a variety of techniques. A good place to start would be Double Dragon 3 and Battletoads.
I've played the original arcade version of FF and this one and I prefer this one by quite a lot, and I never really understood why people never cared for this one as much. Certainly by this time the franchise wasn't doing anything new - SOR had that covered - but I think this was certainly an improvement over the first two.
I'm almost certain that was a result of luck manipulation, i.e. get someone in position to bust open the passage as quickly as possible. Speedrunners generally can't afford to get cute, but when they can, it's pretty nifty.
At the risk of inciting flame wars, still gonna say SoR2 >> FF3. Greater diversity in move lists for the playable characters, FAR better audio/visual presentation and an actual game difficulty that represented coin-ops of the time. SNES still had trouble throwing more than 4 sprites around onscreen at this time.
Press the Attack button while carrying the Hammer, like any other weapon. It doesn't require special inputs and has no special combos usable by anyone.
"Useful?" Who said this display of mass destruction was useful? What it is is ruthless. Brutal. Vicious. Merciless. Crushing. Overwhelming. Well, okay, I suppose it's useful in illustrating what a terrifying force of nature Guy is, but THAT was hardly necessary. You see some of the stuff he pulls off in SF4? :-)
that guy called "black" i bet he must be related to rolento like a brother or another worker or maybe he is was his second in command and rebelled? I mean Final fight 3 takes place after alpha 3
street fighter alpha guy, legit theres no removing him. he is even in the Final fight one GBA port. YES THE GBA PORT for crying out loud the one that has a story mode and has 2 more characters what next they put alpha cody in final fight 4? I hope cause final fight 3 takes place after alpha 3 so we have the chance of this taking place after street fighter X tekken instead which would then make it canon and would be very bad
It did much more new than SoR did. I don't know what you're talking about. Between SoR2 and 3, only vertical dash and a meter for using your specials without penalty was added. FF3 had super moves/a super meter added, dashing (and new moves and combos from that) and the ability to backdash while holding L or R.
+Yasashi Tsu-Kun (YasashiTsuKun) Dean no way I'd have Hagger instead since he's a way more important final fight character and Before you attempt to argue he has been in every final fight game even in the crap SNES ports which removed Guy. and in final fight Guy SNES they removed Cody. yeah he is there Final fight 1 check final fight 2 CHeck, final fight 3 check theres more reason for hagger in SF5 than Dean
All later Final Fight characters, except for Maki, are garbage. Dean and Lucia look like they're on roller blades the way they walk and are two of the blandest characters I've ever seen. Dean looks like some sort of Cody/Guile/Nash mashup with none of the interesting bits.
17:08 That's one hell of a leg sweep.
I just got this game 4 or 5 days ago, and it is my favorite. The gameplay is so smooth. I always use Guy.
Hugo: Poison! The gang! What the hell happened to the gang?
Poison: Guy killed them.
Hugo: Killed? Why didn't our friends from out of town help?
Poison: Guy killed them.
Hugo: Wait... the new recruits! Where are they?
Poison: Guy killed them.
Hugo: D... do our contacts in City Hall know about this?
Poison: Killed. Guy.

10:05 This part (interrputing May in her gymnastics) is hilarious haha !
17:49 "Thanks a lot, Guy."
This is still one of my favorite games to play. This was really enjoyable to watch!
I'm I the only one who feels like the Final Fight franchise has NOT aged as well as the Streets of Rage franchise??
correu do stray, e tbm as porrada está arrancando muito
17:07 吹っ飛んでって草

Very good TAS for a game with only two OST
o final foi o melhor HAHAHAHA
o black levou um chute tão grande que foi parar na puta que pariu kkkkkkkkk
Oh Yeah! Incredible. Very Good.
Once again, the only true tool-assisted speed run.
no hes an early version of guy for guy from street fighter. Ryu's character started off in the original street fighter.

hawaiidkw Actually I don’t think DD3 is a good example, because I’ve seen a TAS where it uses like 2 to 3 different moves total

holy shit there was a back dash in this game?
nossa que velocidade como voce aprendeu a jogar tao rapido assim?
@jacobygreenwood I meant "why" lol
No. Ryu first appeared in SF 1 in 1987. Guy first appeared in FF 1 in 1989. Nuff' said....
Вперед!
17:05 lOL! I have been trying to knock him out to the left in my old school days but, now that I know that it is impossible but to see his ass fly XD

Essa de voltar e pular chefão já pra ir pro último nem sabia, e joguei d+ saporra 😅😢
I wish the opening theme was used more than once in this game.

+sandman5214 yeah if streets of rage had an arcade version it'd have 4 players
TheKHfan358over3d That would be pretty rad, actually. I wonder if the Sega CD would be powerful enough for that
How can I throw the mallet? I never knew to do it.
Press the Attack button while carrying the Hammer, like any other weapon. It doesn't require special inputs and has no special combos usable by anyone.
LOL at 8:12 I was like "We he didn't grab the nunckacus :("
jacobygreenwood
Guy is an early version of Ryu for street Fighter.
Muito foda. Pensei que era o melhor

@korruption except that would have defeated the purpose of a Tool-Assisted Speedrun
12:11 ?? what just happened there? secret warp?
武神流
Soo satisfying :-D
