Thanks! Yes it was a really brilliant day out with our friend Peter Spoerer. We've visited him every summer for the last few years and he is so welcoming. It's the highlight of Simon's summer holiday!
@SimonsTrainAdventures не сомневаюсь в Ваших словах! Это увлечение для всех, кому нравится мир железных дорог! Поверьте, это была мечта мей жизни! Иметь такую железную дорогу! Желаю Вам всего хорошего!
Train-tastic video Simon, and you too Micheal. It's a good thing your friend Henry came along to play with the trains too. I enjoy seeing Mr. Peter Spoerer's gauge 1 model railway, because it reminds me a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine because the production team used gauge 1 models for the filming of episodes from series 1 to 12. But what is even more brilliant is that his models are powered by steam. Each locomotive is surprisingly quick when brought up to speed and you have to run fast in order to catch up with it. He was very informative about the cylinder draincocks, since they allow the water to go out of the cylinders rather than clog it up, sometimes when the process happens on real locomotives, they would jet out huge clouds of pure white steam. I'm going to start volunteering at Puffing Billy railway tomorrow morning! I can hardly wait, so excited! How's your holiday in Belgium, I can't wait to what sort of trains they have. One of Puffing Billy's locomotives was built in Belgium in 1886 and was used by the West Melbourne Gas Works, it's currently in the museum at Menzies Creek station but was used extensively on footplate experience trains, and it retains an American look complete with brass bell and 5 chime whistle. Hope you enjoy your trip in Belgium Take care Simon and happy travels to your family. bye Kevig
Thank Kevig. Glad you enjoyed. Belgium was amazing and we’ll be posting some videos when they are edited. Enjoy your volunteering on the Puffing Billy Railroad.
