Literally the fact that these things are the things that both me and my crush go through. Like, we both got nervous around each other, we both looked at each other from afar and when we caught one staring at the other we just smiled shyly and turned away in embarrassment. Today, at school, one of my classmates said that he liked me but i shrugged it off as a joke, and then one of my friends (who is always honest) confirmed me that by asking him herself. I need more time to work on not being so bitter and callous after growing up a blacksheep- so that at critical times this doesn't get the better of me and I say things to my loved ones that I will regret. It may help you too to look deep at yourself, face the truth, choose not to let it define you, then say not "I am alone" but "I need more time." It's helped me, and my increased confidence has followed as a result of the changes that I am seeing. Even if it's taken years, it's worth it, and there are even more years ahead that can be filled with a joy that I could not previously understand. Atypical neurology should also be considered. Not as a crutch, but to cut yourself slack as you learn it too. Don't beat yourself up, learn your strengths and weaknesses, write them down and keep track (since a bad night and tired brain can forget) 'Know thy enemy? Know thyself' sort of thing. Good fortune.

I know the feeling. My ex and I are still friends and I wouldn’t change that for anything because they are really important to me but sometimes they give me mixed signals. In this case, you had this long friendship with your partner and overtime, you developed crushes around that friend. My crush is a weird one... We were both traumatized as kids by others picking on us about different physical features, and we have a hard time trusting people and opening up to them. I healed a lot almost right before I met him tho, so it was way easier for me to strike up conversations. For the first time in my life I felt like it could be mutual attraction between us, but he's never really made a move yet. Like, I caught him staring at me from across the room several times, and I swear to God I've never been smiled at this much in my life. He never really complimented me or anything, but most of the time he's touching me one way or another. When we walk in groups he usually walks next to me, brushing our hands together, and always looks me in the eyes. He also calls me pet names sometimes, he once basically called me "Mine"... And the funniest thing is that noone really notices anything that's happening, because our friendgroup is usually rather loud and chatty and we're the ones who just sit there and drink and don't really talk much. When I first decided to text him, he didn't seem like he wanted to have a conversation with me, but as time went on, and we met a few more times, I messaged him again, and he was visibly a lot more comfortable texting me. But he's not much of a texter, he never really talks in our groupchat either. Also, he's almost a year younger than me and like 5-7 centimetres (≈2.5-3 inches) shorter, but I really don't mind the difference. And also I have a bit of a stronger build, and I'm not really a "small" girl if you know what I mean 😅 He did say that he was insecure about his height, so that could be a reason why he didn't make any moves yet. My crush and I do this. We were traumatized too, but I'm more healed than her. I am the one that starts texting almost always (1/2 times per week) She takes her time to answer and replies with short texts, but she is willing to hang out with me when I ask her like once per 2 weeks (she tells me that she want to hang out, but she doesn't make the move). I don't ask her more frequently because I don't want her to get overwhelmed. I noticed plenty of signs that she could be into me, but I'm insecure about it because trauma hits. @@octane9309 When we were talking about insecurities I did mention that I always prioritize one's personality over their physical features, and I think that he's a great guy. And also I am pansexual (he doesn't know that yet), so for me it's really just his personality, aura, actions and vibes that I literally fell in love with. (I obviously notice that he's really handsome and has amazing style, but that's not why I like him this much) I think what could hold him back from making a move is most likely the public and what they'd think about a couple where the guy is younger, shorter and just over all smaller than the girlfriend. I sometimes feel like he's a bit conflicted, because when we're with our close friend group, he's almost flirting constantly, but when there are people he wants to "impress" in a way, then he doesn't really talk to me that much. Yeah, I struggle with non-verbal signs and social cues and am also on the spectrum. If I did end up having a crush again, I wouldn't know how to go about or how closely I would have to try and focus on non-verbal cues. Some of this is why I wish it was better to be told because I can't pick up on those cues. Multiple rejections and I've faced basically similar issue for that

It's really hard to know even with this since my crush is always kind and a gentleman to everyone, and also talks fast most of the time. We don't really interct with each other's friends since we don't have a reason to. If he’s putting in that much effort, it’s probably a sign that he likes you. He definitely at least thinks about you. You should tell him. The worst thing that could happen is he says doesn’t feel the same, but even if he doesn’t, he clearly still cares a lot about you, and honestly having a friend like that is a really beautiful thing on its own. I have a friend a named Alex and I noticed that he was looking at someone from a distance not too far last week. Whenever I asked him what he was doing, he turns his head to me and responds to me really fast. What's unusual is that he would tell me that he had to go do some "overdue work", something was up. Fast forward to yesterday after-school, we both met up at the soccer field just to do some practice and I wanted to ask him again what happened last week when he was looking at someone from a distance, so I did. The two questions I exactly asked him were, "Who were you looking at?", "Why were you acting strange as soon as I asked you last week?". As soon as he heard my question, he literally stood still and his right or left foot were tapping rapidly with his face turning from "😀" to "😳". All he said was, "Uhh", "Mmmhmm", and "Ummm". Why is he acting like this? I want to figure out badly what he was hiding, so I told him that if he doesn't answer my two questions, I'm going to tell one of his teachers that he had an assignment overdue for a week (I wasn't ACTUALLY gonna go this, I just sort of told him that, so he would tell me the truth). Alex hesitated to answer me and moments later, he finally had the guts to tell me. He said that there was a new girl who moved from Germany named Ida and she was in two of his classes, English and Social Studies. Ever since then, he felt like there was this strange connection between them and so, that's how he has this huge crush on her but is REALLY shy to talk to her. After Alex told me everything, waiting for my response, he put both of his hands in his pockets and started pulling and grabbing the insides of it, showing me that he was shy when talking about this. I responded with, "Dang, I didn't know you had a crush on someone. I might try to help you to talk to her soon." A few hours later when we were both home, Alex sent me one of ur videos talking about some tips to get along with your crush and said that he might try these later. He is still shy to try to talk to her, but I hope he can overcome it later overtime. It's hard to overcome shyness in some situations, but ye :)

With guys it’s honestly hard to tell cuz of the whole “bros before h*es” thing or going out with “the bois”. Many have good friendships and only see their friends as friends. I'm getting to know a guy I share 2 classes and 2 labs with. He's really nice, but seems to prefer talking in a few sentences at a time. We always say goodbye or exchange a quick smile if the other is busy, and usually ask how the other is doing. It needs to come from a person you find attracted. If you don't like that person back, you are not attracted to that person. Having just anyone can also mean an ugly creepy person stalking you. For that person to give you that attention, it needs to come from a person you are actually attracted to. It needs to be a person that you like back.

Confessing is supposed to only happen once after your crush rejects you. Multiple times is like being creepy around your crushes because all these attempts of try again is like refusing to take no for an answer. Getting at least 1 rejection is supposed to be enough to move on.

Literally the fact that these things are the things that both me and my crush go through. Like, we both got nervous around each other, we both looked at each other from afar and when we caught one staring at the other we just smiled shyly and turned away in embarrassment. Today, at school, one of my classmates said that he liked me but i shrugged it off as a joke, and then one of my friends (who is always honest) confirmed me that by asking him herself. Then, after P.E., he confessed to me and bro, he was so polite, he even apologized to me on his friends behalf who were annoying _him._ He's literally the best.

My crush is a weird one... We were both traumatized as kids by others picking on us about different physical features, and we have a hard time trusting people and opening up to them. I healed a lot almost right before I met him tho, so it was way easier for me to strike up conversations.
For the first time in my life I felt like it could be mutual attraction between us, but he's never really made a move yet.
Like, I caught him staring at me from across the room several times, and I swear to God I've never been smiled at this much in my life. He never really complimented me or anything, but most of the time he's touching me one way or another. When we walk in groups he usually walks next to me, brushing our hands together, and always looks me in the eyes. He also calls me pet names sometimes, he once basically called me "Mine"...
And the funniest thing is that noone really notices anything that's happening, because our friendgroup is usually rather loud and chatty and we're the ones who just sit there and drink and don't really talk much.
When I first decided to text him, he didn't seem like he wanted to have a conversation with me, but as time went on, and we met a few more times, I messaged him again, and he was visibly a lot more comfortable texting me.
But he's not much of a texter, he never really talks in our groupchat either.
Also, he's almost a year younger than me and like 5-7 centimetres (≈2.5-3 inches) shorter, but I really don't mind the difference.
And also I have a bit of a stronger build, and I'm not really a "small" girl if you know what I mean 😅

My crush and I do this. We were traumatized too, but I'm more healed than her. I am the one that starts texting almost always (1/2 times per week) She takes her time to answer and replies with short texts, but she is willing to hang out with me when I ask her like once per 2 weeks (she tells me that she want to hang out, but she doesn't make the move). I don't ask her more frequently because I don't want her to get overwhelmed.
I noticed plenty of signs that she could be into me, but I'm insecure about it because trauma hits. So I'm planning to give her a letter just telling her that I like her and her personality and I just wanted to know if it's mutual. @@octane9309 When we were talking about insecurities I did mention that I always prioritize one's personality over their physical features, and I think that he's a great guy. And also I am pansexual (he doesn't know that yet), so for me it's really just his personality, aura, actions and vibes that I literally fell in love with.
(I obviously notice that he's really handsome and has amazing style, but that's not why I like him this much)
I think what could hold him back from making a move is most likely the public and what they'd think about a couple where the guy is younger, shorter and just over all smaller than the girlfriend. I sometimes feel like he's a bit conflicted, because when we're with our close friend group, he's almost flirting constantly, but when there are people he wants to "impress" in a way, then he doesn't really talk to me that much. He's still staring tho, so I really don't know.

Yeah, I struggle with non-verbal signs and social cues and am also on the spectrum. If I did end up having a crush again, I wouldn't know how to go about or how closely I would have to try and focus on non-verbal cues. Some of this is why I wish it was better to be told because I can't pick up on those cues. Multiple rejections and I've faced basically similar issue for that

It's really hard to know even with this since my crush is always kind and a gentleman to everyone, and also talks fast most of the time. We don't really interct with each other's friends since we don't have a reason to. I've held his hands before since he's pretty playful most of time, (even with other people :)) He looks pretty interested in another person though, but that 'person' (let's name person A) already has an admirer and our whole class knows about it. And about the wanting to spend time together..uhh..he did compliment me in the gym about random things like my hair and stuff but we just awkwardly laughed it off. If he’s putting in that much effort, it’s probably a sign that he likes you. He definitely at least thinks about you. You should tell him. The worst thing that could happen is he says doesn’t feel the same, but even if he doesn’t, he clearly still cares a lot about you, and honestly having a friend like that is a really beautiful thing on its own. Express your feelings :)

Storytime: One day in the starting year of high school I was about to get asked out by my crush, but her friends pushed her away from me then I moved away from my hometown, and I wanted to get back in contact with her but I couldn't find her on and social media, and she was very popular and had tik tok and other social media platforms. it was a HUGE bummer because I had a feeling in science she was going to ask me out. I have a friend a named Alex and I noticed that he was looking at someone from a distance not too far last week. Whenever I asked him what he was doing, he turns his head to me and responds to me really fast. What's unusual is that he would tell me that he had to go do some "overdue work", something was up. Fast forward to yesterday after-school, we both met up at the soccer field just to do some practice and I wanted to ask him again what happened last week when he was looking at someone from a distance, so I did. The two questions I exactly asked him were, "Who were you looking at?", "Why were you acting strange as soon as I asked you last week?". As soon as he heard my question, he literally stood still and his right or left foot were tapping rapidly with his face turning from "😀" to "😳". All he said was, "Uhh", "Mmmhmm", and "Ummm". Why is he acting like this? I want to figure out badly what he was hiding, so I told him that if he doesn't answer my two questions, I'm going to tell one of his teachers that he had an assignment overdue for a week (I wasn't ACTUALLY gonna go this, I just sort of told him that, so he would tell me the truth). Alex hesitated to answer me and moments later, he finally had the guts to tell me. He said that there was a new girl who moved from Germany named Ida and she was in two of his classes, English and Social Studies. Ever since then, he felt like there was this strange connection between them and so, that's how he has this huge crush on her but is REALLY shy to talk to her. After Alex told me everything, waiting for my response, he put both of his hands in his pockets and started pulling and grabbing the insides of it, showing me that he was shy when talking about this. I responded with, "Dang, I didn't know you had a crush on someone. I might try to help you to talk to her soon." A few hours later when we were both home, Alex sent me one of ur videos talking about some tips to get along with your crush and said that he might try these later. He is still shy to try to talk to her, but I hope he can overcome it later overtime. It's hard to overcome shyness in some situations, but ye :)

With guys it’s honestly hard to tell cuz of the whole “bros before h*es” thing or going out with “the bois”. Many have good friendships and only see their friends as friends. I'm getting to know a guy I share 2 classes and 2 labs with. He's really nice, but seems to prefer talking in a few sentences at a time. We always say goodbye or exchange a quick smile if the other is busy, and usually ask how the other is doing. I can't tell if he shares my feelings, anytime we chat he rarely meets my eyes, instead he's looking at my shoulder area, or he glances are quick. This means that person may have a crush on you. These type of people may not be the type of people who learns to respect. They might even be people who acts too entitled to have you.
