This was the first bike i bought. Beautiful memories of it. Even though she couldn't go so fast. Got my license and life just opened up man. Great beginners bike and the price has escalated here in the UK. Bought mine for £1500 and they're almost double that now.
@@ryderwilson7955 Hello. It seems that some Honda Shadow bikes (including mine) could reach up to 75-77 mph, whereas some others (according to users' testimonials on the Internet) only 65-70 mph... It may depend on multiple factors, such as the way the motor was handled in the first 1000 miles, but also the number of teeth of the front sprocket : mine had 13 teeth, but apparently other models used a 12 teeth sprocket, which probably made the accelerations quicker, but the top speed a bit lower...
I drove one of these for 4 years then a van crashed into me and broke my right lower leg , big rod and 3 screws through it , fuckin brutal ! Didnt recover well then after a year got my screws out , everything fine after that ! This view brought back some memories man !
Sorry to hear about the accident but good to hear of your recovery. Great wee bike . Now gone to a new home to help someone else get though their test.
this is my seconed one my fist got stolern 3 days after haveing it that was23 years ago gutted never got it back ,now just got another one havernt had abike since befor that i had lots of bikes befor 86 ,i promist to get another honda shadow again so i did skint now but worth it ,
Just bought one of these bad boys just last week, don’t really have a license yet. But that doesn’t really matter when I live out in nowhere. Would avsolutely recommend looking into buying one of these.
Lauren Cooper Hi Lauren . They have stopped production so if you find a really nice one it will probably be priced around £1800. Look out for rust on spokes and on exhaust. There are quite a lot of tired shadow 125’s out there but if you get a good one you will love it and it will not depreciate in price . Good luck !
@@Bytoruk Actually came across this video again by accident. Since last time ended up buying a virago 125. Really nice bike but I would love to try the shadow 125. Hope you still have your, cheers!
Brian Farinha Hi Brian . I sold the shadow a while back and wish I hadn’t. I have a -an European st1300 now but miss going out for a blast on my shadow 125 . It was that good a bike !
Definitely would ! Had this one for 3 years and also had a suzuki intruder 125 , which is very similar. I did a video comparing both bikes with the help of my neighbour Stuart. I love this bike but now that we all have our big bike licences' there is no point holding on to it. Everything about it from the build quality , comfort , relative power and just tremendous looks make this the best 125 cc bike around IMHO . Hope this helps ! Ride safe !
Every chance , if you look around . I have found them at that price but condition was not the best . They tend to rust around the wheel and spokes , if not cared for properly. I have seen suzuki intruders 125 cc at that price , in fairly good condition. Good luck finding your next ride !
Mark Chambers Hey, thinking about buying this bike. What in your experience is the bikes top speed, both flat and uphill? Also, what speed are you more likely to be riding at? Thanks
Relics Hi . I found that the bike will cruise at 60 mph all day long. Took it to Aviemore for Thunder in the Glen’s , which is a 300 mile round trip . It didn’t miss a beat and also didn’t look completely out of place at the Harley Davidson ride out. Thing that must be remembered is that it is a 125 cc bike , so when it hits a hill it runs out of juice and can struggle a bit. Top speed is probably close to 70 mph and acceleration is fine as long as you work your way through the gears. Good luck getting one of these . I’m sure you will not be disappointed ! 👍
Сегодня купил это мой первый мотоцикл 1999 г. Состояние норм. Две царапины. Куча эмоций. Беларусь рулит. Всем хорошей дороги.
Bought one last week! So so in love
Well done ! Take care of it and you will get your money back for sure . I know I did , except I wish I had kept mine .

what's top speed?
@@ryderwilson7955 About 77 mph.
@@pascalbondon2308 damn that's a lot more than what it says in the manual, in the manual it said from 65-70 something around that number

@@pascalbondon2308 oohhh i made a mistake in the video lol I was thinking of a different bike, never mind lol :)
I have one over in Brittany. Great for around the narrow winding country lanes whilst friends with bigger bikes are fighting them most of the time.
Yes , I can see how the lighter bike might be perfect for the country lanes . Ride safe ! 👍

Jolie vidéo, j'aime beaucoup la Shadow car c'est une bonne moto. Bonne balade.
Nice video, I like the Shadow because it's a good bike. Good ride.
Merci beaucoup !

Yes , I agree . It’s an absolute blast to ride and in good condition its value will increase. Have fun and stay safe man !
What's the price range for them do any of you know?

@@Bytoruk They are small underpowered bikes.... But they are fun as hell. I have tried a few "big bikes" but I still love my litlle virago.

Nice video. Are these any good for a, tall rider? 6'4?
hi mate, i'm the same height and it wasn't too intrusive, however did look a bit out of place on it as they are quite low.

Honda Varadero or a Shadow ahhh
Definitely varadero
Shadow, absolutely.
What is traveling speed?
It will sit comfortably at 60 mph and on a good day hit 70 mph . However when you hit a hill the wee engine starts to struggle .
how to lock the wheel ? it it even posible ?
