    There is an ancient hub for traditional American herbal medicine at the confluence of the Illinois, Mississippi and Missouri rvers. Traded for millennia here from South America to the Canadian Rockies and Great Lakes. Brought and cultivated and still prevalent if you know where to gather

    One day I hope to participate in a retreat like this. It would be so amazing. I hear plant babies. They vibrate or resonate. This year they taught me that stink bugs love milk thistle and prickly lettuce. We are all much happier. The stink bugs feast and we also get to enjoy the veggies they once ravaged. Weeds are our friends. Thanks so much to you and your wife . I started watching y’all years ago in the beginning of my herbamance. Your vids are encouraging and enlightening. Looking forward to the retreat one day. There’s so much to learn.

    I know I commented last year, but I want to thank you once again for being a guiding light to me on my herbalist journey. I just began making videos again on my channel, and have just begun school for Wildlife Conservation. Your videos have led me on this beautiful path that I am now embarking on. Keep shining your light because you are inspiring many! Soon, there will be a wave of naturalists that will heal all on Earth. I continue to make videos in honor of my teachers, and you are one of them. Sending all of the love and light in the universe. -Jack

    • @Herbal_Jedi
      @Herbal_Jedi  Год назад +3

      Yes this is a challenge.. I have been trying to stay neutral on this topic as it has a heavy political weight. Though I will say it was the reason I canceled last years hollyhock class. This year the mandates have been lifted and people who are unvaccinated are welcome to come together again. Unfortunately this does not apply to the whole country and boarder crossings are still limiting access...

    Question: Are the Polysaccharides in your Lionsmane products the same as the Polysaccharides in Aloe Vera Juice? I got turned onto Aloe Vera few months ago for pain and it does work for pain - 100% organic, without preservatives. Recommended dose is 59 ml with 180 mg of Polysaccharides. I figure a good substitute for ASA at times. I figure the recommended dose for pain is up to 4 regular ASA. Minimum of 3 but closer to 4. Thanks

    • @Herbal_Jedi
      @Herbal_Jedi  Год назад +1

      The Polysaccharides in Lions Mane and Aloe Vera are similar in some senses and different in others. Both have a modulating effect on the immune system and calm down inflammation, but typically the polysaccharides in medicinal mushrooms are more diverse in structure and size. I will say that polysaccharide content alone is not the best measure of a functional mushroom product.
      There is a big diversity in the quality of polysaccharides between many of the mushroom products on the open market. Some are mostly mycelium which can also contain many measurable polysaccharides from undigested grains that are used as substrates in growing them. Some products are adulterated, containing added polysaccharides. It is a fairly big rabbit hole to go down currently when you start to look at all the miss information and miss messaging in the mushroom industry. Often this leaves consumers confused.
      In a nutshell... Aloe Vera Juice is great, if its working for you keep doing it.
      If you are wanting to work with Lions Mane, I recommend organic fruiting body extracts (concentrates) that have been third party verified. This is what we work with at Harmonic Arts. I have visited the farms, seen the extraction process and done the testing to re-verify in a local lab. Plus we have received much positive anecdotal feedback from people how are working with them regularly.

    • @ethimself5064
      @ethimself5064 Год назад +1

      @@Herbal_Jedi I understand that Lions Mane extracts are particularly good for the brain in my case - Bad case of ADD I have been told 2X.. Was diagnosed at 47 on 98. I have seen your products in Vernon for some time now. You appear to have done your research in your reply - Can you recommend any high quality sites online that you use for source information? Or the best books. All of my books are well dated but still valuable ar rimes. I guess what information I am looking for is Herbal in nature, latest in Supplements etc.
      Thanks for getting back👍

    Herbal Jedi do you have online courses for people that live to far away and that are not able to travel for some reason? I would love to learn from your wealth of knowledge! I watch video after video on all plants that I have heard that have medicinal values but none really go in as much depth and detail as yours do. Are there text books out there that would really cover everything that there is to know on the plants, like how/when to pick them, how to properly propagate them if they are not in my yard,, that have in depth close up pictures of the plants. I see all of the videos on RUclips and articles on the internet and am still leary of their process, because I'm not sure that it comes from a trusted source. I live in NE AL and would love to find a wildcrafting class or herbal medicine class, any and all advice is much appreciated. Be well and thanks for teaching us your knowledge!

      Oh and if you download the picture this app it has all that information! I love Yarrow's videos, do you watch April from She is of the woods? (If not you definitely should) Wouldn't it be great if the 2 of them went on "tour" and traveled around spreading their knowledge like seeds!
      I sat up shop for the first time this past weekend at a community yard sale event. Most people had no idea what tinctures or herbal medicine was. Thank goodness I also made jelly and syrup to sell!
