All these taxes, I'm getting in the E Game. Cars are a rip off, with taxes , insurance, gas, maintenance.. I like this as an option.. I'm not carrying a van full of kids, and my groceries can fit in a backpack, And I live in town,... I like it 👍
Right?!
This is also why some places have started imposing a yearly tax on electric vehicles unfortunately.. but still, even with that tax, it still comes out to be cheaper and allowing for more freedom..

@spaceSecs how would they know if you owned an electric scooter? And if the cops saw you how would they know you didn’t pay your taxes?

I was seriously considering buying this until i read the comments regarding that it only has a 40km range. Ah well the search continues 😬 the company says between 60km to 120 km range complete lie.
Yes. They lied about a few things on this scooter which caused me to return it once I got mine. First of all, It does not go 50 mph. It barely hits 45mph. So it’s a pretty slow scooter for its class. That’s one thing. Another thing is what you mentioned. It has a very short range. Thirdly, it literally does not come with any parts which is why it’s so cheap. All the essential parts you need to safely get the scooter on the road they make you pay for. The damper, tires, breaks, etc. I shipped mine back and got the Yume Y11+ which literally comes with everything a scooter is suppose to at the same exact price as the Obarter D5 ($1400 shipped!!). Plus the yume actually goes 50mph as advertised.
@@peaceful4you408 ummm.. that's actually pretty fast for this being only 48volt battery and 5000watt motors. I'm sure you can get the range listed with a bigger battery. Yes the numbers are inflated but not as much as you would think because they sell the same model with different size battery depending on who's selling at whatever price. I will say, that's definitely expensive for what it is. There are far less expensive options that easily out perform this
@@peaceful4you408what do you mean, it doesn't come with Tires and Brakes? On the website right now, it says the dampener is a free gift. The reviewer got the free dampener.
@@peaceful4you408 did you like the Yume Y11+?
@@seanthegod4585 the obarter d5 comes with tires and brakes obviously, and is quite cheap around 1235. and the steering dampener should also come with it.
Those little wheels are fantastic. I have the Obarter X1. First thing I noticed when I got it was how the battery is on the ground when folded
You mean the frame with the wheels
Man, you nailed it. All the downsides you pointed out about the scooter make complete sense, and I totally agree. The issues you mentioned are exactly what I hate about this scooter. It makes me wonder if the manufacturers purposely make them imperfect or if they just see things differently than we do.
Awesome through review! :DDD specially the pointers to the company to improve their product!!! :) These once, little scooters have evolved so fast!!!! & They are just as fast! :)
They have a 13inch model that can be even better.
If they add anymore lights you’ll be a complete Christmas tree
X7 looks good and has more leds
😂🤣😂
Wow, what a great scooter and excellent review! Very surprised to see such high end parts at such low cost. For me that swappable battery, even though it only 48 volts, but still 35 amp hour is excellent! The suspension is outstanding! Large display which usually only comes with higher priced models. Not having to remove motors to change tires is super excellent. Steering damper too! Just amazing! Great job!
Fair enough!
High end parts??? hahaha what a silly comment from a total ignorant!
@@ElectricVehicleSpaceHi bro, Good afternoon. I really liked your video, its Amazing . I ordered from one D5 from the website you provided in the RUclips link. But I'm not sure if it's the legitimate original website of Obarter. Can you please let me know if you also ordered from their website and received your D5?
Lol. I would say that you are getting ripped off if you by this scooter. This isn't good value for the price. 1800$ for small battery that is only producing 48V is the worst I have ever heard. Thats only 1680Wh 😂 and you aren't getting that much torque out of the motors.
@@meatball1233 Its only laughable if you know of a better alternative, for the price.

I hate how companies always use cheap ergonomic grips even on expensive, powerful models. Odie Rogues are the best👍✌️
This is disturbing and so annoying. I hope they see this video and change.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Dude it's a CHEAP junk for a reason!

Man this thing looks really good but IDK how much I'd use a scooter like this unless I was commuting or something but it's too small to use as a grocery getter.... I'd like to try and make a small trailer for it so I could at least put some stuff in it and a backpack, that would be very useful. 😁
I used my m365 pro almost exclusively as a grocery machine. 4000 kilometers and counting. I cant imagine how this thing would be too small.
I've used different $400- $2000+ escooters and manage to carry plenty of groceries in my backpack and more in bags looped around the handlebars.
I make trailers for electric scooters.

Love to get few to Canadayo to test. So cool
You should!
48 volt x 35 amp = 1700w. How are they about to quote 2500w per motor?
math does not add up but the power delivery is there and top speed is at the level.
the controllers turbo to 45A till they get too hot, 90A X 54.6V = 4900W
quite a bit shy, especially given the fact that 4900W only happens at full full charge, and that it'd be 4300W at 48V, but still not bad that it has tubeless replaceable rims like dualtrons and a replaceable battery for the price i suppose.
ofcourse for that price i'd buy a Ti30 instead and have more power and range but whatever, it's okay for the price
thats actually still nice for easier switching between offroad and road tires tho, but those hubs could be used on different scooters too if you can buy them somewhere
no sadly that top speed is more comparable to like 2kw
@@breakgaming2690 The top speed is due to the battery voltage, all Chinese power scooter motors are essentially wired to the same rpm/V, so if it had a 72V battery, and controllers/other HW that can handle it, it could be faster than a Nami (top speed) because it has larger tires
this scooter will accelerate way faster than a standard 2000-2400W scooter
Thanks for the recommendation..
i have the same scooter and i love it
If you are in NYC let's go for a ride.
is that a fire proof box for the battery ? looks sick!!
Not sure but we can ask the brand.

Hello
Electric Vehicles Space, I also bought this scooter, it arrived two days ago, today I tested it on a flat road (battery is fully charged), after 40km the battery is almost dead and can no longer drive at high speed , its speed has dropped to 29 km/h, and it is estimated that it will not be able to drive another 10 km, at most 10 km, that is, add up to 50 km, which is far from the official 60-120 km, and even the lowest 60 km has not been reached, which is Let me down. In addition, I turned on the headlights and the left and right turn signals, but none of them were displayed on the display screen. I don't know if the display screen is broken or it cannot be displayed in the first place.
I only have 61KG
Which website did you buy from pls?
The mantis pro SE at 1699 similar speed of 41mph and range of 34 miles similar specs just not as beefy as this one
If you remove the weight it will give you more also consider 😉 I was 240 lbs when testing. With my weight mantis will not get to 45mph for sure.
The lights r fkn sweet!! 🤙
Nice looking scoot. There other models look boxy.
Yes this one is priced well and looks cool.
Love the video, thanks for uploading. I'm wondering where do you think the best place to run a folding bike lock through on this scooter? The kind of locks that are solid metal, not a cable that can be cut.
Good question! I would not lock this outside in NYC. It will get stolen really fast.

Guys, someone tell me what's going on. Obarter scooters are absolutely identical to Okidas scooters moreover, the specifications, color and name of the scooters are absolutely identical, only the brands are different. But Akidos has a much wider selection and has stores in Los Angeles, California and Long Island, New York and Service Center in Flushing Queens. What and where has Obarter I don’t know.

I am glad you liked it.
This scooter looks awesome for sure💯👍 but why they are using only 48 voltage battery and not a 52 or even a 60V power to carry such a heavy scooter? After your testing is that 48v battery voltage performing well?

@@garygareth your welcome
This FLJ Obarter seems promising ~ however personally I recommend 13 inch or 14 inch tyre for maximum stability for a little bit of cost , however if really wanna carry around especially for the train or cars , 11 inch tyre scooter is more than enough due to its mobility. Moreover , the coolest feature about this , is REMOVABLE BATTERY , which you can just parked somewhere , remove the battery can climb to your house somewhere at the top...
Size of the tire does not impact stability much on this type scooter platform.
Great review, do you have to take the battery out to charge it?
No. You can charge on the scooter only but you can make a diy connection to charge it outside the scooter.

I bought the refurbished version of this scooter, and when I got it, it was damaged or was quick to replace the charger which was cracked and the front LED panel was also cracked which was great. They were super helpful. My problem is it seems to be locked at 30 km/h and I can’t get any higher speeds for it on the display and also it won’t fold. I don’t know why, I’ve tried everything I can to get the front mechanism to unlock it full down it moves and I can’t see anything that’s keeping it from folding so my question is how do you unlock it to go above 15 miles an hour or 30 km
you have to make sure your in dual motor turbo gear 3. then go to the p settings and go do P08 and set that to 100. that unlocks the full power
im 14 and I want to save up to get this scooter, does it fit 5'2 - 5'3?
Yes since the front stem is height adjustable and you can use the deck for carrying stuff.

The car is not bad, it is very stable to drive, but it is too big and heavy, much bigger than I imagined.
