Xilonen is a 5-star geo unit who scales on defense stats, and she has a base defense of 930 at level 90. As for her ascension stat, she can get a total of 36% defense bonus at level 90. These are her ascension and talent level up materials, so you can pause this video and take a screenshot so that you can farm these materials later. But keep in mind that you can't pre-farm the boss materials yet, because the overworld boss will be released in version 5.1.
Moving on to her skills - Xilonen's Normal & plunging attacks are pretty much the same, but her charged Attack consumes a fixed amount of Stamina and performs a forward kick, which is something new.
Similar to other Natlan characters, Xilonen has a thing called blade roller, which is really cool, and it's part of her kit as well, as she can kick enemies using that device. Moving on to her elemental skill - Xilonen switches to high-speed combat blading gear and rushes forward a certain distance before dealing Nightsoul-aligned Geo Damage based on her Defense. It's similar to Yelan's skill where she deals hydro damage.
The initial recorded Source Sample within each Sampler will be Geo, and for each party member who is Pyro/Hydro/Cryo or Electro, 1 Geo Sampler will change to that corresponding Element. When Xilonen is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, the Geo Source Sample she carries will remain active throughout. After unlocking her Passive Talent Netotiliztli's Echoes, Xilonen can trigger her Passive Talent's effects to regenerate Nightsoul points for herself.
Moving on to her Elemental Burst - After casting her Burst, she activates the Phlogiston Stereo Mixer at full power, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Geo Damage based on her Defense. Additionally, she will trigger the some effects based on her different Source Samples:
1st - If she has at least 2 Source Samples that have undergone Elemental Conversion, Xilonen will play an Ebullient rhythm, healing nearby active characters at intervals based on her Defense.
2nd - If she has less than 2 Source Samples that have undergone Elemental Conversion, Xilonen will start up an Ardent rhythm, which will play two additional beats that deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Geo Damage based on her Defense.
Moving on to her passive talents! Her first talent - While in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, Xilonen's Normal and Plunging Attacks gain some buffs based on her current Source Sample types:
Should she have at least 2 Source Samples that have undergone Elemental Conversion: she gains 35 Nightsoul points upon hitting an opponent, and it can be triggered once every 0.1 seconds. Should she have less than 2 Source Samples that have undergone Elemental Conversion: damage dealt is increased by 30%.
Her second talent - While in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, when Xilonen's Nightsoul points reach maximum, she will trigger an effect equal to that of her Nightsoul Burst. This effect can be triggered once every 14 seconds, and when nearby party members trigger a Nightsoul Burst, Xilonen's Defense is increased by 20% for 15 seconds.
Her third talent - After her Nightsoul points are depleted, Xilonen will switch to consuming Phlogiston to maintain her Nightsoul's Blessing. While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, she can use Nightsoul Transmission. When the active character is sprinting, climbing, or in a movement mode caused by certain Talents, or at a certain height in the air, some effects will trigger when switching to Xilonen:
1st- she will enter the Nightsoul's Blessing state and gain 20 Nightsoul points. In this situation, Xilonen's Nightsoul points have a 4 seconds time limit, after which her Nightsoul points will be immediately depleted. After she uses her skill within this time limit, her Nightsoul point time limit will be extended by 9 seconds. And the Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10 seconds by your own team.

@@aarnhfca if there is in your team for example Neuvi, Furina, Kazuha, Xilo, then Hydro and Geo are shreded but if you have Xilo with 3 characters who are either Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo then those elements are shreded instead of geo. I may be wrong with this, i saw somewhere else so take it with a grain of salt

It’s not that hard to understand after watching 2-3 times 😂
To be fair, playing these characters is way easier than understanding their kit in a description. Xilonen buffs elemental damage, debuffs enemy resistance and heals. C1 gives interruption resistance and C0 gives stat buffs depending on elements absorbed.
In more detail:
she scales on defence (so new brownish artifacts are good for her)
- normal attack: kinda useless
- elemental skill: buffs absorbed elements and geo (but not anemo or dendro)
- off-field: she decreases enemy resistance to same elements
- burst: deals AOE geo damage + heals active characters during the burst uptime (if at least 2 other elements are in the party) OR does damage twice (if 0-1 other elements are in the party).
C1: provides interruption resistance (if it is a lot, you might not need Zhongli with Neuvillette C0)
C2: buffs stats depends on absorbed elements
Hydro - HP 40%
Cryo - Crit DMG 50%
Pyro - ATK 40%
Electro - 20 energy restore.
So, with C2, having Neuvillette, Furina, Xilonen and a cryo would be ideal (it could be Layla for shield, if needed, so Zhongli is still not needed). But Neuvi is OP so C1 Xilonen Co Neuvillette would work in the same team.
She is plenty useful as C0, though. (buffs dmg, debuffs enemy resistance and heals like Bennett).
So... Elemental skill collects samples from other elements (except anemo and dendro) and buffs them for 15 seconds (once she reached max NS points that she generates for herself). She can absorb 3 elements but the default is geo (so if it absorbs only 1-2, geo buff included). She doesn't absorb the same element twice (so 2 pyro character is still just one element).
Her cooldown is 7 seconds, so no rotation memorizing is needed. With C2 her cooldown is 5 seconds.
What Kazuha has on her: she doesn't group enemies. ... arguable if that's useful (depends on enemies and main dps).

So she does heal, good, otherwise she would just be a worse Kazuha. Kazuha offers more utility and damage (especially AoE) and Geo is a pretty inert Element, but she does heal and shield a little bit so she'll fill a niche he can't. Someone who can sufficiently fill both the healer and buffer role does not yet exist, and is kinda sorely needed.
As for comparing her with Furina, Furina still offers a bigger buff. Plus, I've had Furina's pet hit for 200k+, could probably get even higher if I did come convoluted show-off setup like content creators like to do, but point is, Furina has insane damage and support. Almost certainly the best character in the game right now, it's gonna be hard to match up to Furina.
furina trades great buffs for worse survivability and filling another slot on the team as a healer. so naturally she works well with fontaine characters that can heal themselves (like neuvi and wrio). she’s not versatile like xilonen or kazuha but offers great buffs and sub dps potential. over-all a great character but needs a lot of requirements to get her damage bonus unlike Bennett or kazuha

Basically she scales on Defense, she uses her Natlan Fire and does huge Resistance Shred (aka Anemo Set Effect) shes also a Sub Dps and a Healer with Ult apparently. She seems to need C2 though to be actually bonkers so be careful. Cauz that gives your teammates certain affects like ATK, Crit Damage and so on. Geo seems to have th biggest Boost with 30 Crit Rate. That's disgusting.
Oh also she seems to be a jaguar or some animal idk so she seems to have some huge exploration thing.

I think they’ll nerf her to some extent, but I hope scaling of the numbers in her kit are still pretty good and not drastically reduced, that’s not too much to expect.

Don't lie bozo, she doesnt have any crowd control like Kazuha has. She has a niche in teams in which Kazuha can't be used though. But it's literally Not better but Kazuha can't be even used there.
@@chaosinfernoid9008The thing is Kazuha buff and swirl only apply to a single element and can be very rng. She litterally shred almost the same defense as him but for all element, buff everyone by pressing a key and has a heal. Its 100% a power creep since everyone on her team can benefit this buff. Same happened with furina.
CC is decent on monolith and thats it. This year meta is mobility so you wont really need to CC since Natlan characters will tp right in front of ennemies forehead. Its already happening since Clorinde btw

If she does healing based on the on her def… and it only does it to elements who went under conversion… and furina buffs characters based on the amount of healing received… Jean doesn’t work cause she’s anemo… baizhu doesn’t work cause he’s dendro… so theirs only one healer left…

While I like her kit in practice, it makes me so damn sad that despite being a 5* geo character that is a support, she doesn't fucking support geo teams bar Navia. When hearing about initial takes on her kit, it seemed like she'd be really strong support on Geo teams, while being alright on rainbow teams, but instead she does jackshit for geo other than doing a bit more damage.
I'm sure many others will have a team she works great in, but for me, she manages to thread the needle by being worthless on every one of my best teams: full geo, dendro, full anemo, not even my Neuvilette Furina team works because I need Xinyuan to make sure they actually get all the healing they need, because Xilonen's burst does not heal nearly enough.
