I’ve always maintained from the streams they’ve put on over the years, the devs don’t actually play the game, they always showcase non meta and play in some quirky way. It’s no wonder they think these random useless brand sets is what the player base wants. So out of touch
They think if they just shove some impractical/complex type dog shit PvE content in our face it will keep them relevant. They have destroyed this games potential.
Need to implement when you break down a gear piece or weapons that have exotic components associated with them that players get the components back to use towards new builds.
i think the global modifiers and range stuff is going to screw me hard until i can get used to it. honestly what i wanted was new missions and the new dlc so i had new stuff to do.
i really hope that they redo some of the nerfs to be a little less harsh i understand that they want to bring a few things down but lets not go crazy and force people to invest a ton of time learning new sets wasting all the time and resources on the older sets they nerfed. like instead of reducing it 10% maybe dial it back 5% so its still reasonable and usable.
@djtickle I'm saying the striker nerf makes striker useless why use it when that nerf you'll get exactly the same total dmg as heart breaker but won't have to stack to 200
@KarlDelaney99 they aren't overpowered plus they are looking at it for PvE oreo in actual practice isn't that great in the live game and striker you have to use the chest and get a 200 stack and stay there to actually reliably kill max difficulty ads
What would be fair if the intent is to buff/nerf weapons with each season is to provide a refund system for exotic components spent. E.g. this season I could get my exotic components back that I spent on my St Elmos and transfer across to the new exotic AR. A reasonable compromise that would be fair for casual players.
I want a 6 piece set that provides a 10% damage buff for 4 seconds after I switch weapons immediately after I kill an enemy that's exactly 30 meters away with a shotgun headshot while behind cover and affected by a negative status. I like a lot of the buffs and the nerfs don't actually seem THAT bad, but whoever designs their mechanics needs to lay off the cr@ck pipe
Although it's quite common in other games, I really hope the devs aren't just making a weapon powerful for that one season and then lowering the dmg after the season is over. That wouldn't just be a misuse of buffing/nerfing weapons, it's borderline deceptive to release a weapon and then nerf it a few months later. If they really wanted to go this route, it would be much more transparent to players if there a seasonal modifier that would buff entire architeypes. For example, a seasonal modifier that drastically reduces LMG reload time. Players would know it's temporary and could decide accordingly.
I have an idea for the new gearset. 2pc - 25% mag size & optimal range. 3pc - 20% weapon handling & damage. 4pc - keep the same wording just change the meter on both ends to 20m, increase all the gun ark type weapon damage by another 50%, change the stacking feature from 4 to 2 stacks. Chest talent is fine. Bookbag - doubles the duration from 10 seconds to 20 seconds
Thank you for sharing you thoughts. I agree with your opinion on the TU22 PTS gear and exotics. I'm not a fan of "have to do this" to get "extra damage" with a very short dmg phase and we also have to consider reload and weapon swap time. I avoid gear sets and exotics that have that mechanic built in. I'm a casual player and play for an hour ish every night and having to focus on a gaming mechanic to get damage is not fun. Honestly, gonna pass on the global modifiers. I know that the devs are trying to "balance" meta builds but instead of nerfing weapons and gear we like, how about buffing weapons, mods and gear to the level of the meta (that way we feel more powerful) i.e. give us an ammo mag with +20 without the reload penalty.
I hope the Devs are watching your vids as well as others. The community is in an uproar over some of the weapon nerf decisions. My main build uses the MP7. For the life of me I can't understand the hatred the devs bestowed on the MP7 and it wasn't even a Meta. They need to revert back to the way it was. If they want to buff the weaker weapons that's the solution. Just make the weaker weapons shine in the spotlight and make them rival the most used weapons to bring attention to the weapons that have been ignored. Nerfing isn't the answer. I will never understand why these devs, constantly when faced with making the player stronger or weaker, they always choose to make our builds weaker while the NPCs seem to get buffs to the damage they put out and can take. They need to fix this.
the thing people dont understand is,massive dev´s are just dev´s, they dont play the games themselfs and if so on the lowest of the lowest skill level, they dont give a single f about what the customers want! they are just making a product people buy. ubisoft as a publisher doesnt care about customers, its just bussines. thats the reality. and most important thing imo, they are insanely incompetet tbh, the game even after 6 years still has the same bugs since release and even if people report them they are not capable of fixing them. they dont know what causes the insane balance issues in the game, its not that strikers is op, its the fact that scaling is a thing and most sets cant put out the right(amp dmg, additive, all weapon dmg etc) or high enough damage bonuses. if i compare strikers with anything ofc everything falls flat since strikers is straight forward, easy(practical) to use and is absolutely fine dmg wise(even if it would be back to .5%) all the other sets are pretty bad compared but how do you kill legendary enemies in 4 player scaling if you dont have high dmg buffs? you dont. you need damage on a striker level for high level content but that does not mean strikers is op, it means the rest is trash its that simple, if people dont use it,its bad its that simple. why do people not use brand sets only? right, they are trash. everyone knows and i am pretty sure even the devs know but its easier to change numbers than changing whole sets and that doesnt make money.

I like your Heartbreaker suggestion, the damage increase is (probably) slightly too much (I think it still needs it) and reducing the stack loss would be a lot more fun.
RE the Virtuoso (virt-u-o-so) gear set. You can get either of the short and long range buffs up just by killing something and you can double the weapon damage part of those buffs with the chest piece. You only have to get kills at alternating ranges if you want to trigger the _extra_ double (quadruple w/ chest piece) effect. So.. it's not terrible, but it might not compete with Heartbreaker (assuming that change stays in).
Ah i use it on some of event, i think it's hollywood event ? The one that make explosion 5x damage or 3x damage , i forget. After the event i delete them to save some space.
The change to OD chest removes the need for Glass Canon. With a sadist gun, the amp will be 80% with sadist and Hollow Points. Same as current if using a GC chest. Will miss out on CHD though from mod and grupo chest.
From my vantage point, your disappointment in the new talents and gear that appear to focus on range or engaging at longer distances is due to how you may like/prefer to play with SMGs/ARs. How many builds do you play with regularity at long range versus an occasional build to switch it up? I get the impression the new sets are to give some additional options for longer range play styles. The player base is so wide that I think they are trying to account for every single play style imaginable in the game. Maybe the new sets are a prep for new content coming in the DLC. 🤷🏽♂️ The modifiers are interesting. Their approach to adding new stuff to the game has been confusing at best. From changes to gear and then later nerfing it and weapons they created/introduced themselves. In reality, I believe they are struggling to find things to come up with to keep/increase engagement until Div3 comes out in 2026/27.
I think you're kind of misunderstanding the core problem. You can do the same or better damage and build for better survivability using Hunter's, Striker's, Heartbreaker, Ongoing, Umbra, or Negotiator's, and every one of those sets has mechanics that provide nearly constant benefits in a very diverse set of circumstances. These new sets (breaking point and this new one especially) are either super inconsistent or highly situational, so in many cases you're just not incentivized to use them. With some exceptions, most sets provide COMPARABLE benefits while triggered, so why would anyone ever choose to have less up time with more difficult triggers? This set might be worth it if you MELT enemies while they are up. If you only get 70% up time, you'd need 30% more damage potential to even the score, and that's just not happening.
Hmm, with ninja backpack + virtuoso (optimal range) + 1 piece hotshot (30 wep handling) i think i can use new buffed chameleon with comfort. Maybe combine with Ongoing Directive set to solve chameleon ammo problem.
The new seasonal progression felt, to me, like the unlocking of specialisations.. and I did not enjoy that, particularly. I think it was the almost arbitrary goals, none of which I actually _wanted_ to do (in and of itself). They felt like those annoying goals from a GE.
I would think that the new objectives system wouldn’t have been straight forward with a seasonal character because they’d start from lvl 1 at the beginning of the story. At that point of play the map is restrictive due to enemy lvls so taking a lvl 1 or even 10 character to taxi graveyard for example would not be feasible.
You can’t nerf what people have put a lot of time & resources and think it’s okay, buff other things is one thing unless they allow you to transfer over to other weapons and they won’t do that , it’s a big fu to those that did
Thought of this in 5 seconds: Gearset that gives 10% rpm and 2% movement speed for the first kill after swap when switching to a gun up to a max of 10 stacks. Kills after the first kill reduce the stack by 1. Backpack: grants 2 stacks per first kill, but further kills reduce stacks by 2. Chest: grants 2% dmg resistance per stack. Tell me this is worse than the new gearset…
Out of all the things being needed I’d like them to back track on Scorpio Oreos mag size sledgehammer and I really hope they change the new holster to double crit
Seems like they just want us to play versatile. I’ve never used it. I’m sure most haven’t. There is too much back and fourth to keep the damage up. Won’t be using this gear set
I'm going to start the season on a fresh character...if it feels bad, I'll swap to my main, but yeah....they intended us to have a fresh start so I'm gonna roll with it.
@djtickle Pay a buddy to do the rush content for you while you take the scenic route, kick back, and enjoy a chill leveling process. Thing is, there's going to be downtime with regards to season progression while leveling. On your main you can power thru a lot of it. Like tidal basin, that's going to come up sooner than expected and be harder than expected for a lot of ppl. I know folks that haven't touched the weekly invaded mission since their first couple clears of it. Idk...I just woke up and am kinda rambling now I think lol
I wasn't rambling lol I was actually making a good point not to do a fresh run. Tidal basin, it's rough on a character with no fleshed-out builds...and even then, it can be rough if you're not aggressive enough in the boss room.
dev´s have no clou atm imo. nerfing the goodies of the community? Oro/Elmos/Striker....things where people put many work and resources in for expertise...not a good move
The nurfs don't seem necessary, nothing in the game is super strong not even striker and that's supposed to be strong. Plus if they're going to nurf obliterate they need to buff some of the chest and backpacks. At least give us something back, some alternatives.
Alright this doesn't make or break the game. But am I the only one tired of holding the Signature weapon at the character login screen? I would love for the Devs to go back to holding my favorite ARs, SMGs, and Shotguns at the login screen. The characters just looked cooler that way. I see they are going toward a more zoomed in view of the characters going forward in 2.0. I would love for them to make that change along with it.
The exotic weapons w/ damage based talents all need to be scaled back.. otherwise everyone running an LMG will be running bullet king, or leaving damage on the floor.
Fix the bugs and crashing, give player instant healing, don't change the guns, the player base will come back. I also agree they don't really play this game.
The whole range thing needs to be rethought. That is going to be incredibly annoying and take the fun out of the game. Some of these nerfs need to be dialed back, especially striker, elmos and ouroboros. Not saying don't nerf them, but like tickle said just find a middle ground.
I absolutely _hate_ the enemy damage reflection ability, it was not obvious it was present on the enemy, and it was not obvious what range was "safe" to shoot them at so I kept killing myself unexpectedly.
@reganheath wasn't implying you were a casual player so hope you didn't think that. You could be for all I know, but where I was coming from was my Dad, who is 80 and very much not a 'min maxxer' so to speak, is going to hate it and I think many casuals like him will feel the same.
@@netwarrior1000 thanks for clarifying :) In many ways, despite the (far too many) hours I have invested I am still "casual" player who just wants something fun to play and relax, so you weren't really wrong.
Your absolutely right about the new gear set tick, complete trash in my opinion. Not sure why these devs insist on bringing us dog shit PvE content. Dog shit PvE gears sets like, hey look at this new gear set we came up with that's a complete and utter failure and is impractical for the state of the game. It has way to many mechanics in a video game that already has too many mechanics. I feel sorry for new players if there are any. The game is over. It's time to play PvP.
I would have been less offended if they said they were shutting the servers down all together until they had a new game ready VS the changes I have been hearing. Are they planning to refund all the resources people expended on upgrading their favorite pieces or weapons?
The journey is not fun or rewarding. Some of the nerfs and buffs are ok but not needed on year 6. It would have been easier to digest this if they'll be adding cross save and cross play. Specially to help with the lack of players on servers.
Simply put Ouroboros nerf was really not needed its not strong in PVP nor in PVE especially considering is exotic talent is lack luster to say the least
This won't happen, but the seasonal character shoulda been an added fifth character. Make it real hardcore and have it be a perma death character like they did in Ghost Recon Wildlands. That was actually super cool and intense to level up. I actually died first run at it on level 29 on my last mission. Never malded over a game so much as I did that night.
I won't be force to do any of this Journey 😂😂won't use modifiers if I can't progress so be it , enough if this shit, what is important is that Npsc are happy 😂😂😂😂lmfao
- I couldn't test the new gear because it wasn't clear on how to obtain it. Can't they put it into a cache? - Stellite armour on NPC's need's to be more clear as far as which range they can take damage - they need to increase the volume of some objectives ( hostage rescues , blockages, warhound convoys.) Progress is delayed by no objectives available. - overall, I started with a Striker build, found out Negotiators was way better.
The nerfs are pointless now buff what you need to buff an let the game run its course its coming to an end anyway theres no point in nerfing now.Buff some things an make the final content worth playing an let the players finish the game on a high note an than we can all look forward to Div 3.
Even with a seasonal character you would have been doing the same content over an over again it would have been decent in the real game an that would have sucked They just need to come up with new missions something new to go with this not the same content we've been doing for years Something new would make it more interesting.
I think calling this content is low balling.... we want map expansions pvp and pve areas. I mean how hard would it be to get a DZ in New York???? An expanding that map??? Would it be lazy to some people YES. But it's something. Why can't you over lap part of the map from division 1to warlords?
You don’t nerf gear after years of it being in a game. They nerfed gear by popularity not by damage output. All the top skill pieces, nerfed, top damage talent(obliterate) nerfed. I don’t care what their excuses are they aren’t good enough. Making single shot rifles automatic….give me a break. Games going in the wrong direction.
i thing they should quit adding gear to the game, they are not adding anything that is not there already, i think most of us just want new content. new weapons and gear are not needed
your opinion on the elmo/strega doesnt make sense tbh, nerfing/changing elmo´s to make the streage the next elmo does not solve the problem the dev´s have! it is the same and misses the point why everyone uses the elmo´s. why does nobody use ak´s? because the spread sucks, the reload feels awefull, fire rate is bad even with 40k more base damage(or somehting like that) nobody uses them, nerfing elmo does not make people use a weapon you miss half your shots with less RoF (even with 40% more base damage). nerfing elmo but giving us a weapon like strega is the most idiotic thing i seen sorry but it shows how little they care or how incompetent they are. if the dev´s cant understand what makes something better i dont know why they are developers tbh. if something stands out and is used by 80% of the playerbase that means the rest of your stuff is just straight up ass. of course you can always go the cheap route and just nerf that one thing into the abyss but that does not change the fact that you have no clue what you are doing or how to solve issues like this. the sad part is, this game has alot of smart players and still the dev´s dont listen and ignore them because they know better, they dont deserve such deticated playerbase with how they treat them tbh. but who am i to judge, im just a customer.
How would we ever hope for anything new in this game, when the PTS is played by the same testers every time, which has made this game exactly what it is now. Same equation same results, killing off the game.
I think they should of bought in seasonal characters but we will have to see how it works when it goes live as I am on Xbox I have to rely on people like yourself to see how the PTS is and listen to balanced opinions.
Whos crying? They are adding PvE content I want it to be good. As for going in the DZ ill pass. Whats the point? That has its own problems, id start by saying the risk/rewards structure is just not worth it.

The brandset nerfs, striker nerf, and oreo nerf just needs to not exist since they aren't justified
They are justified, it has been so much time since I am waiting those nerf, there are not nerf to the ground but rebalance to equal other stuff
It kinda is as I said, they are leaders in what they do by FAR! I just dont think they need to hit them as hard as they are.
The brandsets yeah but the other two are overpowered. It's very justified

The player base is so wide that I think they are trying to account for every single play style imaginable in the game. Maybe the new sets are a prep for new content coming in the DLC. 🤷🏽♂️
The modifiers are interesting. Their approach to adding new stuff to the game has been confusing at best. From changes to gear and then later nerfing it and weapons they created/introduced themselves. In reality, I believe they are struggling to find things to come up with to keep/increase engagement until Div3 comes out in 2026/27.
Maybe, I like to play ranged too also but I think maybe even that will have to much downtime.
Yes correct. I think this would have played into the longevity of the system even more depending on what objectives they had set.
I'm 100% sure that massive is doing these nerfs just to piss off the players . there's no other explanation for these stupid decisions
Great cost cutting method drive your playerbase away and save money, to develope another DOA AAAtitle.
You can’t nerf what people have put a lot of time & resources and think it’s okay, buff other things is one thing unless they allow you to transfer over to other weapons and they won’t do that , it’s a big fu to those that did
Legatus should have been Sentry from Div 1 since they brought Striker and it would be nice to use with a rifle, sniper, or pistol.
Thought of this in 5 seconds:
Gearset that gives 10% rpm and 2% movement speed for the first kill after swap when switching to a gun up to a max of 10 stacks. Kills after the first kill reduce the stack by 1.
Backpack: grants 2 stacks per first kill, but further kills reduce stacks by 2.
Chest: grants 2% dmg resistance per stack.
Tell me this is worse than the new gearset…
The best thing I liked about the PTS, was logging out and going back to the stale old shit that I'm used to in the live game 😂
I think things like the hostile modifiers will initially put casuals off if they have to progress too much to start getting the countering modifiers.
Out of all the things being needed I’d like them to back track on Scorpio Oreos mag size sledgehammer and I really hope they change the new holster to double crit
Would be nice changes.
I have an awful feeling that it will be capped daily, so progress in the season is at the same rate for everyone.
Seems like they just want us to play versatile. I’ve never used it. I’m sure most haven’t. There is too much back and fourth to keep the damage up. Won’t be using this gear set
Agreed.
I'm going to start the season on a fresh character...if it feels bad, I'll swap to my main, but yeah....they intended us to have a fresh start so I'm gonna roll with it.
Honestly I want to do this but I have that content creator rush problem lol
@djtickle
Pay a buddy to do the rush content for you while you take the scenic route, kick back, and enjoy a chill leveling process.
If I remember right they wanted you to complete the jury part fast so you where at max power for most of the session not just the last bit of it
dev´s have no clou atm imo. nerfing the goodies of the community? Oro/Elmos/Striker....things where people put many work and resources in for expertise...not a good move
Yeah it does feel harsh.
The nurfs don't seem necessary, nothing in the game is super strong not even striker and that's supposed to be strong. Plus if they're going to nurf obliterate they need to buff some of the chest and backpacks. At least give us something back, some alternatives.
Is the new season because the dev had a stroke?
lol
The grind is not worth my time to get garbage. I hope the new AR is not connected to the season journey
It is I'm afraid
it will be the last thing given that's how they get you to do the whole season.
The new AR still on season rewards track and maybe on the last itens we get.
The AR has been confirmed Season Track :D
thx man good work
No problem!
You make a statement you look at both angles so what's both angles you see on the strikers gear set nerf and the St elmoe's
Tell them how you feel
I did :)
Casuals are not going to like it one bit.
@@netwarrior1000 lol.. thanks ;P
System corruption buff, hardest gear set in the game to obtain and it hasnt been touched besides the instant med pack
Yeah if its not fun to play then meh
I'm most upset that my MP7 and M700 being nerfed
MP7 got hurt bad and ive no idea why
@djtickle yeah the mp7 being hit is pretty random
I would have been less offended if they said they were shutting the servers down all together until they had a new game ready VS the changes I have been hearing. Are they planning to refund all the resources people expended on upgrading their favorite pieces or weapons?
The journey is not fun or rewarding. Some of the nerfs and buffs are ok but not needed on year 6. It would have been easier to digest this if they'll be adding cross save and cross play. Specially to help with the lack of players on servers.
I would like to see seasonal character option
Simply put Ouroboros nerf was really not needed its not strong in PVP nor in PVE especially considering is exotic talent is lack luster to say the least
My wishlist is I hope Ubisoft fired developers team of the Division 2 and bring back Division 1 team.
Yeah this feels half baked.
- Stellite armour on NPC's need's to be more clear as far as which range they can take damage
- they need to increase the volume of some objectives ( hostage rescues , blockages, warhound convoys.) Progress is delayed by no objectives available.
- overall, I started with a Striker build, found out Negotiators was way better.
If you create a new character on the PTS it gives you everything.
The nerfs are pointless now buff what you need to buff an let the game run its course its coming to an end anyway theres no point in nerfing now.Buff some things an make the final content worth playing an let the players finish the game on a high note an than we can all look forward to Div 3.
I really really wish they had not dropped the seasonal character. I think it would have made all of this more appealing/challenging.
Yup you can tell its what it has been built for.
im hyped
Lets GO!
Instead of reinventing new gear sets just do 6 piece talent add on
Even with a seasonal character you would have been doing the same content over an over again it would have been decent in the real game an that would have sucked They just need to come up with new missions something new to go with this not the same content we've been doing for years Something new would make it more interesting.
No, no season charavyer
Sorry?
I think calling this content is low balling.... we want map expansions pvp and pve areas. I mean how hard would it be to get a DZ in New York???? An expanding that map??? Would it be lazy to some people YES. But it's something. Why can't you over lap part of the map from division 1to warlords?
Yeah I cant wait for the new DLC. We need it badly!
I wouldnt mind this, they could give things like True Patriot a major overhaul
your opinion on the elmo/strega doesnt make sense tbh, nerfing/changing elmo´s to make the streage the next elmo does not solve the problem the dev´s have! it is the same and misses the point why everyone uses the elmo´s. why does nobody use ak´s? because the spread sucks, the reload feels awefull, fire rate is bad even with 40k more base damage(or somehting like that) nobody uses them, nerfing elmo does not make people use a weapon you miss half your shots with less RoF (even with 40% more base damage). nerfing elmo but giving us a weapon like strega is the most idiotic thing i seen sorry but it shows how little they care or how incompetent they are.
if the dev´s cant understand what makes something better i dont know why they are developers tbh. if something stands out and is used by 80% of the playerbase that means the rest of your stuff is just straight up ass. of course you can always go the cheap route and just nerf that one thing into the abyss but that does not change the fact that you have no clue what you are doing or how to solve issues like this. the sad part is, this game has alot of smart players and still the dev´s dont listen and ignore them because they know better, they dont deserve such deticated playerbase with how they treat them tbh. but who am i to judge, im just a customer.
It's seasonal gear sets that will go into the bin after the seasons over 🤦
what do you mean?
They scrapped that idea a while back due to feedback.
30 minutes to resume this 😹
Geez
I dont understand
All crap it’s been deleted.. devs clueless
You’re a typical pve cry baby, come into the dark zone, after tu22 drops.. it’ll work
Whos crying? They are adding PvE content I want it to be good.
As for going in the DZ ill pass. Whats the point? That has its own problems, id start by saying the risk/rewards structure is just not worth it.
The problem is no new content……I’m sick of doing the same missions 500 times
Soon now we hope!
