maus going dark working on code veronica, super system shock and ELDEN RING DLC
Also Animal Well should be on the list. No spoilers, but it’s good stuff.
Woo stellar blade
@@MM-lv7iy I've actually finished it (not like all eggs but that's not my style) and it was great
@@indeimaus Nice! I do recommend going for all tools at least tho.
Taxes
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines coming out "twenty years ago" gave me psychic damage, what the hell.
*bashing :^)
@@atlascove1810 its fine, my soak is pretty high
Being reminded that is aggravated damage, sorry
Really hope it turns out good since the game had constant delays.
@@iammask1073 I'm a clown that never cancelled my pre-order, I just want the game to be decent :(
Having a fisherman boss completely ignore you as he keeps fishing minions to mess you up is pretty fresh! I haven't seen it before and it's about the maximum amount of salt a boss can deliver, by killing you without even bothering.
Wait until you see the Ben the Old Wanderer.
Bro only ever attacks you with a simple pushback that barely does any damage if you get in his face, otherwise he is just running around the forest (which is special in that if you stay in it too long, your minimap stops working and you have like half the vision range) and what kills you... is the wildlife that you keep running into.
You can't actually kill the wildlife, because if you do, you'll lose the boss, so you have to keep on wailing on him and hopefully not die from giant frogs that want to perch on your face.
12:25 The fact that he didn't turn into a bear to say, "bear with me" in the end of the video is criminal, but Can't complain, there is no bear police just like there is no vampire police
Turn into a bear to get all the b*tches.
There's no 2nd amendment in V Rising. Not allowed to bear arms.
You got me with Goth mommy, Vampire is just a big bonus :D
I see "goth mommy" in the thumbnail, and I click, it's that simple
He got me with goth
Gen z are just such p*rn addicts
He goth me with goth vampire mommy
Teleporting with items:
There's a server setting that can enable teleporting while holding items. It's mandatory QoL in singleplayer. I maxed out all the non combat easy mode settings, and STILL struggle with resources sometimes.
Crossbows are bad:
Yes, but try bows. Crossbows lock you in place for a fixed animation, bows can be cancelled a little bit earlier and can be overcharged for a stronger shot. There are multiple bosses and even minion fights I wouldn't have beaten without a bow.
"What are you going to do, call the vampire police? They don't exist.":
That's what makes Vampire the Masquerade interesting.
I tried both bows and crossbows. I'd say crossbows are better.
Yes, they lock you in place, but all the alternative attacks have zero cast time, which is a huge thing, where the bow requires you to use the primary attack 3 times (which requires a windup longer than the crossbow fixed animation) before you can efficiently use an alt. attack. With a crossbow you only have to follow up with a single primary attack to get the most of the weapon, which is perfectly doable after a dodge, especially if you use the Illusion one which draws aggro for a long time.
I abandoned bows in favour of sword+spell spear for the last bosses, worked quite well.
Bows carried me to the endgame, occasionally switching to pistols if things got closer range.
but for the final boss... well, there is only one good way to fight Dracula
Whippin' it good!
The crossbow's Q basically puts the game in easy mode against any bullet hell-type boss, as you can focus exclusively on dodging while throwing down area damage after area damage. Still, I do personally prefer bows to snipe a specific target in a group of enemies before jumping in melee.
Interesting to see some of the fights on normal difficulty. I'm playing solo on Brutal (cuz I have no friends :( lol) and the fight's aren't just harder, they are different. The fisherman for example summons a single HUGE serpent thing in the middle of the pond that smashes parts down and freezes part of the arena, instead of the little heads that shoot frost bolts. It's nice to see devs put that kind of work into the difficulty choices instead of just making things hit harder or have more HP.... though they do that also.
yeah I look forward to playing it on brutal with friends and no deadline
He did that to me too, I'm playing on normal, is the serpent bigger maybe?
@@_JPkun Hmm, idk. I never saw the little serpents on my multiple fights with him as seen in the vid here. He only ever summoned the single big serpent. But if he also summons the big serpent on normal and it just wasn't shown here.... /shrug
@@_JPkun Yes the serpent is like 5 times bigger than the one we see here, and there are indeed bosses later that are drastically different on brutal, for example a certain tailor.
I stopped playing Brutal sometime in act 2 though, because that can get frustratingly too difficult in solo later in the game
@@_JPkun Yup, the serpent on brutal takes up the entire pond in the middle. Doesn't really matter though, because your best bet is to just ignore it and hit the fisherman anyway, preferably by bouncing off the electric pufferfish on him.
"lemme just turn into my true form" *Enters Rat Mode* I see Maus at last embraces the truth of his soul.
"Imagine being called the Stone Breaker."
Imagine being called the "Scar giver"
The first time I heard that I thought someone was making a joke
Shadow of war ahh titles
This is what I call my shaving razor.
I look at the Vampire Lady you designed and my first thought was "Oh, hello Integra"
Ser Integra! She insisted we do NOT go to Brazil.
1:22 "So we raise from our coffin like Chernobog just kidnapped our lover"
Blood reference! Loved that game!
I almost screamed "HELL YEAH" when I heard that lol
9:09 AW YES, this is why we watch Indei: THE RAT SKETCHES! Gotta love the rodent sketches. I'm here for it.
You can’t convince me that this game isn’t just a normal day in Australia
As an Australian I can confirm. My Aunt’s a vampire and she looks and acts just like this one.
Man, be a Vampire in Australia? Thats a different breed of Vampire on this Sun "blessed" Place! Respect to her.
We have a bigger Werewolf problem than vampires here in Australia
@@macca13245 You Guys have a bigger Problem of everything in Australia! :D
Not hot enough to be Australia.
Oof, I remember spawning Nibbles the Rat inside my castle, this was during the beta. I realized too late that the little bugger was way too difficult for me to handle, he was spawn killing me over and over and I couldnt get him out. So, during my lamentations a few fellow neighbours passing by heard my cries and offered to help. I was hesitant at first, but I had nothing too valuable and I needed this vermin out of my home. So I desperately opened the doors and we had a battle of the ages. Thank you lads, whoever you where, also thanks for not robbing me dry after the ordeal.
For those of you wondering. My buddy that got me started playing about a month before the 1.0 release described it initially as "if Valheim and Diablo had a baby that was really into Vampires."
The building is very good. Most of the QOL things you would want. The boss fights are super fun and scale with the number of people. It's a great combination of base building and action. The progression swings between the two very nicely.
If anyone at Stunlock happens to read this, PLEASE I just want some methods to grab a specific number from a stack. Please let us type it.
YES dude lets GO. V rising is the perfect encapsulation of vampire fantasy Im so glad its getting the traction it so rightfully deserves. Battlerite was also an unbelievable slapper and I miss it dearly
But does a vampire build his Castile himself thou?
Battlerite failing as it did was a travesty. It was great for what it was.
I love playing this game, building Castle as a Vampire is such a joy.
You know, I enjoy the specific name call outs your doing each video. With enough time and videos, you will be able to call out every single one of your fans and random people watching by name.
The goddamn thumbnail 😮❤
I love the Angry Beavers music used. Loved that show as a kid.
I am a simple man with simple taste I see Goth Vampire Mommy in the thumbnail and I'm already there. Hope you get around to playing Animal Well soon, even outside Metroidvania Month.
That 'The Sims' song was priceless! The nostalgia hit hard. Awesome video as usual Indeimaus. Thank you for a great time.
V Rising is the fuckin BEST. They cooked for years and it’s a medium rare masterpiece!
Major bonus points for using the Angry Beavers theme song
The Quincey bit had me genuinely chuckling out loud in that satisfactory full-body-shaking way - i nearly spilled my coffee too. Really enjoyed that, thank you :)
2 Indeimaus videos in 1 week! What did we do to deserve this?!
This vampire game has better lore than the entire Twilight saga.
2:57 Dude i havent thought about Angry Beavers in years lol
"We raised from our coffin like Chernobog just kidnapped my lover" goated blood reference
8:25 You can actually turn that off in the advanced settings, and teleport no matter what your holding.
I love vampire games however this is also making me think of what kinda werewolf games that could be made
1:29 That is the most Random Blood reference.
Had 2 30 second unskippable ads at the start of this video, lovely
0:20 oh you mean romancelvania!, solid game very weird.
I got addicted to this game. The best vampire sim I've ever seen.
The angry beavers theme song playing while fighting the "not a beaver" bear is pinnacle editing.
That spider that webbed you in the sun was clearly a master strategist. If they hadn't been cought off guard by the fact you could respawn inside the "castle" (in air quotes becouse its a shack at that point) they just took from you by right of conquest, they would have definitly become a Spider Queen Boss in time.
9:05 i will never get tired of this bit!
ever since Dishonored, every time i see rat or "maus", that voice pop in my head like brain parasite
Arg you got me with the thumbnail. Well played sir
One thing I don't really like is how the boss fights go from "OK" through "OK if you get the gimmick" to suddenly "Tohou bullethell, but the boss also spawns an army of trash mobs that can kill you in a single second if you ignore them", which forced you to play cheap builds, like full on ranged, if not outright necromancer build where you personally never hit the boss, you just spawn skellingtons with every spell that tank, aggro and kill the boss for you.
Like, I'm fresh after the spider boss (Ungora) and not only every third attack gives me NieR Automata flashbacks, the trash spider mobs the boss spawns more or less are guaranteed to kill you if they hit you once, because they have about zero cooldown on attacks, each attacks slows you so much you can't physically get away without the dash that's on an 8 second cooldown and then you have to navigate a minefield of poison pools the boss throws every other third attack that damage you for about a 1/5th of your HP for as much as looking in their general direction.
Castle building is fun though, but I wish there were more building spots with lakes and ponds. I basically only found 3 such spots of size sufficient to actually build a castle in them.
wow thanks for the tip. totaly forgot i had that game. well i am gona play it now!
I can't believe I'm not even 20 seconds in this video and I get age whiplash because BLOODLINES WAS ACTUALLY RELEASED 20 YEARS AGO!
Excited that you found this! Been playing since last year and I adore this game
I appreciate the Sims 1 music 3:37 to 4:06
“If you’re making a vampire, it either has to be Dracula levels of hot, or Nosferatu levels of hideous.”
This is one of those things that’s so true that I’ve never heard anyone point it out. Absolutely.
nice choice of bomberman music
gods,I keep forgetting I'm 20 but reminding me masquerade bloodlines was the year I was born gave me a small crisis
To be fair, old but gold. VTM is ine hell of an experience
Did anyone else hear the Angry Beavers intro?
I wasn’t really loving the art style when the video started but honestly this game does look really good. I can see what they’re going for, and I really like the idea of the mechanical and base building progression mirroring that vampire fiction trope of the shadowy beast lurking in the hinterlands eventually revealing themselves as a resplendent vampire lord in a massive castle.
I dunno how much Indie pays the artist who does his thumbnails, but give them a raise!
I am so happy to hear the Angry beavers song
It's him, he is the giant rat who makes all of the rules
Code Vein is my favorite vampire game mostly because it's the last game to feature my favorite underrated Gothic toned cold, cute yet elegant voice actress who usually doesn't get any work these days. Heather Hogan.
That said. Didnt realize that masquerade vampire game has been 2 decades since release that's insane.
Seen glimpses of V Rising around but still not sold on it yet. Conbat is main concern. Like what is it supposed to compare too?
There is that one vampire battle royale game Vampire the Masquerade bloodhunt.
Combat in V Rising is at the upper end of mediocre.
Most of the appeal comes from the graphics, the setting, enemy designs, a semi-dynamic world, the world design in general, building pretty castles, and living a very specific vampire fantasy. Basically, everything except the combat. IMO, it's a worthwhile trade.
I suspect the combat would be more fun in cooperative multiplayer, if you're into that sort of thing.
vampire’s fall origins is pretty fun. Can get repetitive after you beat the story and rebirth though.
Gotta have Animal Well video! I mean, it came out in Metroidvania month. I mean, if you want to, though. I hate it when RUclipsrs feel pressured into making videos they don't want to make.
I appreciate the angry beavers musical cue once you mentioned a big beaver.
The angry beavers theme song called out to my old dried husk of a brain, bringing back fond memories watching saturday morning cartoons.
I want the full let's play where you change the voiceover whenever you change your form to a rat
10:43 nothing will stop finn from fishing
I was not expecting the Angry Beavers throwback! Ahhh sweat childhood memories.
Back in the day when pulling an Elite mob was like: Guess I'm dead.
hell yea, glad to see this game get the recognition it deserves
I was on the fence about getting this game. This video convinced me. Grats Stunlock on your successful sponsorship
Ofcourse Indeimaus is gonna play a vampire game while I'm reading a House of Crimson Hearts. Vampire phase is back in my life ❤
That Vampire the Masquerade comment hurt my soul and my knee.
This is such a good game, I played it during early access too, and they still added so much with the 1.0 release that came with the Castlevania crossover. New features, new weapon types, a new biome, new crafting and refinement stations.
Also you can change the settings of the world you make to allow yourself to carry items while teleporting and even in bat form. I did this for my current play through just to save me the time, it's not something I felt like I needed to deal with a second time.
The game actually has a surprising amount of modifiers you can change on world creation, worth taking a look at before you play, but I would still recommend playing the default if it's your first time through.
V rising was amazing in early access im excited for the full release
"Finally a good vampire game" yeah like that has any weight when you're literally sponsored by the people who made it
I don't usually play survival games, but that thumbnail makes me go.
Is it just me or the thumbnail looks like Dracula's wife Lisa as Dracula
Been playing V Rising shortly since its release. Absolutely ecstatic to see you finally play it! I only have Dracula left and I will have officially solo'd all bosses :)
Those skeleton's got some Calcium during their lifetime.
That thumbnail is an instant like!
8:30 You can enable teleportation with resources in settings, as many other things (HP, damage and resources multipliers, starting with different levels of eqipment and straight up creative mode with infinite resources)
yeah were playing with that now!
The angry beavers background music was top tier.
We should all agree, tankier sponge enemies don’t mean higher difficulty, but higher annoyance.
9:03 i live for the indeimaus rat skits, in every upload
Yes finally the mouse has blessed us with another vampire video
Ok. The 28th exposure to V Rising has convinced me to add it to the wishlist. Great video, thanks man
8:35 for PVE playthrough you can turn teleportation on in the settings
No mention of Vampyr, but instead a Vampire the Masquerade mention for us older folks in the chat.
2:59 that background music set off my nostalgia and I can't tell where its from.
Angry beavers lol
Wasn't very hyped for this game then I saw the thumbnail and I now feel I might just play it. Your artist is as good as I am predictable.
I checked fsnowzombie's portfolio, no Vampire Mommy artwork found. Sad day. Great video as always!
Same, I couldn't find it anywhere. :(
I'm so happy you're playing this, ive been glued to this game since i found it a week or so ago, seeing a new indiemause video and it's this game is perfect, and no surprise really, this game Is amazing❤
I did NOT expect the Angry Beavers theme song at 2:56
When you made dinner, you're looking for something to watch while eating and a Maus video pops up 😘👌
Crossbow is great with skeletons. Go for attack speed gear and the skull projectile. The minions will distract enemies while you stand back. Bow is still better, but you can use it as a quick shot until you get the guns.
You had me at ''goth mommy vampire''
I think this is the first time in my life, that brains made the connection that Metroidvania comes from the word combo castlevania and Metroid
Indei rat voices makes every video better
3:00 Angry Beavers theme in background slaps
"the house is made of wood for now. but wood is for suckers." yeah, it s a vampire, it 100% correct
Literally when i got the nibbles the rat part of the video, I literally saw a mouse at my work i thought i was imagining it
What a great birthday present to get from my favorite edgelord youtuber, thank you Mista Maus! Now if only he could bring back that old intro of his with the purple tinted city.. Ahhh, some things are truly best as a dream
Yes!!! Coming in clutch with the angry beavers intro music!
I think we all know Inde’s Stellar Blade review is going to be too good for us.
I"ll admit: i cried seeing Maus getting off poverty and becoming a nice noble hot she vampire. It was beautiful.
Been playing this game on my own server. Made it Brutal. But I finally got to Tier 3 with bosses and the game still keeps my focus through out the whole game. Love the game.
That Thumbnail makes me feel things.
1:40 Man, as cool as it was. I often remember in the original Castlevania. The Church was one of the only actual constant good force in the whole story that makes some mistakes here and there. Even Dracula's wife was a Saint who can heal people and Sypha Belnades was a Catholic Monk-Witch as she grew up in a Monastary. There were many more changes but those were some of the most glaring ones for me.
But the animation was cool and all though.
The Pope himself hired Trevor to help deal with Dracula too. In fact, the Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox churches were the first lines of defenses against Dracula before Trevor was able to show up. That’s not even mentioning the holy abilities that the Belmonts had and why they were exiled lol.
