    I have learned so much from you. I’m starting chemo tomorrow. I’ve already got my wig grip and located a wig shop in my area. I’ll call after the weekend to make an appointment. I’m doing good so far. Surgery was successful. Nothing in the lymph nodes Thank again for sharing your knowledge with us.

      Hi Steph and friends. It was a long year for me but I completed my surgery, chemo and radiation and I am feeling great now. My Echo was good and I’m on the road to recovery. I even have a little hair now but still wearing wigs for now. Thank you so much for all your help. When anyone talks about starting their wig journey I tell them about wigs with Steph.

    Wig grips are often made from a panne flattened knitted velour (not velvet) fabric that uses the nap of the fabric to lightly grip the wig. The fabric is more like what is used on those red lint brushes you use on clothing. Very smooth in one direction, rougher, but still soft in the other.

    I got my wig grip and it is a game changer! I can move my head around and it is snug and gives me confidence as I strive to wear my wig out in the world and not just in my bathroom. 😁 I’m learning so much from you. Thank you!!!

      YAY!!! I'm SO happy to hear this!!! I love wig grips! A trick that I did for my wedding this past weekend with my wig called Mesmerized by Raquel Welch was slick the top of my head/bio hair back with the Got2B Glue, and then put the wig grip over top (which essentially glued it to my head hehehe), and then I was able to make my wedding bun updo stay on ALL day!!! It was fantastic! Never slide, felt totally comfortable in it! I love that wig wearers have all these options to play around with and make our wigs work for us =D

    I just want to say that you are a godsend! Ive been toying with trying wigs for a while now because my hair is so fine that its impossible to get it to do what i want so i gave up trying to do anything with it. It eventually became a big insecurity when i started losing it after a new medication. but i was hesitant because there is just so much information out there that its overwhelming. I didnt know where to start and then i found your videos and now im purchasing my first wig! You make everything so digestible and easy to understand. And your reviews have opened up a world of possibilities for styles thay i didnt even think about and im so excited about changing up my look with a different wig whenever i want. I know this is a lengthy comment but i just wanted to let you know how much youve helped me navigate this whole process and hopefully feeling happy with that aspect of my appearance ❤

    Can I ask wear you bought the simply stylin spray? There's no link for that.
    Also wondered if you found the fabric softeners scent to be overpowering on your head that close to your face? Or do you get unscented?

    • @WigsWithSteph
      @WigsWithSteph  Год назад +1

      Hiii! 💕 so happy to have you hear!!! I’m still on the hunt to find that link for the Simply Stylin’ spray because it’s been so long since I’ve purchased it LOL (it lasts a long time), but let me look into that now and then I’ll link it to you 💕
      With the fabric softener, no, I haven’t found I’m too sensitive to it at all!!! If anything I find that it has a really nice faint scent and I like it a lot 🥹 of course if you’re really sensitive, you could always get an unscented 💕 I am really sensitive to scents usually too- but the fabric softener doesn’t seem to bother me Xoxox

      Hello again =) Here is the link to the Simply Stylin' Pure Silicone Spray for wigs: amzn.to/3Cn6bql

    • @jlester8584
      @jlester8584 Год назад

      The Simply Stylin' spray can be bought in some wig shops. This store is in Ottawa. lovemyhair.ca/products/simply-stylin-light-silk-spray-4-oz?variant=39444861747258
      Walmart.ca also carries it.
      I look for unscented fabric softener, because who needs another clashing scent? Shampoo, conditioner, detangler, perfume, & fabric softener?

    • @WigsWithSteph
      @WigsWithSteph  Год назад +1

      @@jlester8584 Thanks for sharing this link as well! The spray can be found in many places which is great =) I find with the fabric softener and the cleanser I use to clean wigs, it's so faint that by the time you put it on your head there is barely a scent, if any at all. I typically just use what I have in the house at the time. I am pregnant right now so most things are unscented anyways =)

    My issue with all my wig is the nap…..it gets soo frizzy fast 😢 and starts to stick out on my short wigs and i constantly need to finger comb it down…..any suggestions or a video in future about how to fix that?

Because i bleached my hair several years and because of heat damage it’s breaking off and had to deal with so i am cutting off and wearing wigs till it grows out but honestly you make it seem like so much fun i just might keep wearing them! I got the mesmerized and the simmer elite in the colors you have! They just look beautiful!!

      @WigsWithSteph  7 месяцев назад

      I have the regular Simmer (it’s just called Simmer) and I have Simmer Elite. The style is the same, but the cap construction is totally different. Here in this video I explain the difference between the two: ruclips.net/video/r4GrQaLeu-E/видео.htmlsi=IeF9Rf17hQgsWJ_e
