Dear teacher, Shaun. I really appreciate your valuable work. Words alone can't express my true feeling towards your great work. You are so amazing. Hi, I'm a noob teacher. I really appreciate your explanation, during my first class about this topic there were and example that really confused me was about the used of the past participle to show condition but now I understand better this topic thanks to you. I will be able to explain it, in a easy way to my students.
Wow! I got all the correct answers from your test, FABDCE. Thank you so much teacher Shaun, you've really done a great job teaching all these english grammar rules. I plan to watch and decided to finish them all. I'm so fascinated with your teaching. I am eager to know more the grammar rules and apply it with my understanding. Sometimes, I forgot some rules so bad for me. Huhh! I really need more practice. THANK YOU SO MUCH TEACHER SHAUN FOR ALL YOUR GREAT LESSONS. 👍👏😁
It was Secondary 3 to 4 grammar. But I wish I had a teacher like you which would teach a grammar course like you when I was studying at university. It would be a great enhancement to my English skills. But language is not just about grammar. It also includes culture, literature, communication, linguistic, and translation, etc. Luckily, I am not an English teacher who needs to explain and produce all these items. We just studied different materials and sources with a different approach.
Hey bro, I am Indian, but I haven't ever met like this good lecture. Because u mentioned each example with a picture, detailed explanation in the correct order. Thank you, good bless you🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
Everyone taught us this topic as a small piece of information, depriving us of being known to it elaborately, resulting in giving incomplete information obout the topic, But you nailed it,
Really I benefitted a lot from this lesson , please answer this: she hurried to her car parking at the back of the garage. "parking " here what is its function ? Adam's father often goes to sleep in the garden .........the newspaper. to read or reading and if the answer is "reading" what is its function " thanks in advance.
Wonderful.I too wanted to ask the same question why you called it a participial clause. But somebody asked it.your answer is satisfactory.P Siva Rao,India.
Are there two types of present participle? If so, what is the difference? one takes "Comma" while the other takes "And" please explain? she opened the door, Rania saw all her friends. = Opening the door, she saw all her friends. She heard the news and fainted. hearing the news, she fainted. I heard the phone ring and picked it up. Hearing the phone ring, I picked it up.
Hi professor Shaun just want to ask if you have a book that you’re teaching? I like the way you teach and methods. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to watch on youtube for an hour even though I really really like to learn. Is there any way I could buy a book? I hope you understand my English.
Hi Shaun, I really like your class, which is very well organized, informative and comprehensive. So I just wondering are you still holding similar type of online class that I can enroll with? looking forward to hearing from you! thx, Irina
the screen is so blurry! But, I understood very well the explanation! that is all I was looking for. Thanks so much! You are an excellent teacher. The best I would say.
Smrt English Live classes are fantastic. I teach English in Spain and I often prepare my lessons by revising the subject with you first. I have a couple of questions - I have always accented "participle" as "oOoo" whereas you say "Oooo" - am I wrong? And, is "oftentimes" Canadian for "often" or is it just your personal preference? By the way, I loved "White Noise" too.
Hey Marek! It's great to hear that I can help out fellow teachers as well as students. Your pronunciation of "participle" is not wrong at all-I think accenting the second syllable is more common in the UK and the first syllable more so in North America. Oftentimes is a synonym of "often" but I'm not sure if it's more Canadian or not-why, do I say it often? Don Delillo's the best. Thanks for watching!
Be back in a bit. This is what I was leafing through. This is basic info. Remembering to put it good use is the key. Thank you. The print is far too small on my screen.Pity. I know these, though.
Thank you for the wonderful instructions. They are really practical and useful. Watching the stream, I found myself could be sometimes confused by identifying the function between simultaneity and reason, such as in : ex. Listening to the music, Ellen tripped herself. Besides realigning, could it also mean simultaneous? How could this being distinguished?
Dear teacher please situated this sentence i'm confused please help. E.g Holding the camera with his right hand, he reveals his dirty clothes, his swollen ankles, and a set of handcuffs fixing his left wrist to the metal frame of the bed - the only piece of furniture in the room.
I can't stop laughing, it is so fanny the way Mark tried to collect his phone... I was imagining him with a long stick trying to push the phone close to him.
Thank you so much sir. When present participle clause is placed at the end of the main clause. Please sir explain all usages of the present participle. Participle clause can answer the questions how or in what manner.
Please find below answers 1 Working hard, I needed a holiday. 2 Having missed the school's bus again, he was late to class for the third time. 3 The man lived next to my House was never seen again. 4 The storm lasted for five days straight, resulting in destruction of properties, cars, and people. 5 Having not paid the rent, they moved quietly through the house. 6 Eaten it in a small portion regularly, dark chocolate has health benefits. Thanks!!
These two sentences with perfect participles, the first sentence shows a reason while the second sentence shows a time, and this is how the teacher taught me their meaning, so I want to know why one is reason and the other is time. How can I know that one describes reason and the other time? please convince me. He has failed four times already, he doesn't want to appear in the examination again. ( reason) Having failed four times, he doesn't want to appear in the examination again.( reason) He has alot of money in business, he doesn't want to risk his money any more. (Time) Having lost alot of money in business, he doesn't want to risk his money any more.(time)

Great class.so helpful.
Need a larger screen....💖💜💕 After having packed we... I turned, with two different subjects. Feeling exhausted n done in , I needed a holiday.
What is the difference between participial phrases or reduced clauses and dependent clauses?
A clause must have a subject and a verb.
I can't stop laughing, it is so fanny the way Mark tried to collect his phone...
I was imagining him with a long stick trying to push the phone close to him.
Excellent sir
Thank u very much!!!!
Thank you so much sir. When present participle clause is placed at the end of the main clause.
Please sir explain all usages of the present participle.
Participle clause can answer the questions how or in what manner.
When used for results, is the participle clauses always at the end? Is the subject always different?
I love y
