For sure! Besides Chica, Bonnie has the most unsettling stare regardless of the properties on his eyes. Even Scott admitted himself that Bonnie was the most unsettling and creepy out of the original 4 designs.
The normal eyes on Bonnie genuinely made me say “Ew!” aloud, which nothing in FNaF has ever done for me (save for maybe Bonnie’s up-close render in Parts and Service from FNaF 1.

Honestly, I think the best method would be to do the small white dot, and flip it to a red dot when the situation applies. Such as perhaps indicating that yes, the animatronic *has noticed you*
I feel like everyone is missing the point of the red eyes. They are canonically from the games and books. It means that William has put the animatronics on attack mode.
Since when were the animatronics depicted with red eyes in a so called 'attack' mode? In the original trilogy, every animatronic when in darkness is depicted with a cold, unnerving white-pupil stare. Besides, why would the animatronics be put into an 'attack' mode BY William? William doesn't have any control over those suits, especially if they are possessed by children he has murdered.
Looks like no one is thinking about the other iconic Black eyes with no pupils, that are just too much shadow on the normal eyes, It would work perfectly in the ballpit scene
@@thisisveerus6667 Red Eyes are when they're in attack mode, silver eyes are when the Children's souls are controlling the animatronics & as you can see in the trailer the children's souls haven't fully possessed the animatronics yet so what we saw in the trailer could be when William Afton is still controlling them which is why the eyes are Red.
This definitely looks better as it definitely really gives off that old classic feel to what FNAF should be. Meanwhile the red eyes look like something that would have been Security Breach. It’s honestly cool to see FNAF fans coming up with ideas hoping to make the movie look really good.
Even Security Breach would change to lighting up only the pupils throughout the game (Sun&Moon, Glitchtrap, the endos, the shattered glamrocks, Freddy during the final battle, and the nightmarionne staff bots)
In help wanted during a minigame with freddy, We accidentally cause him to get aggressive and his eyes glow red about to strike if the problem isn't fixed. Plus Scott approved the work done by both steel wool studios (big makers of security breach and help wanted) as well as blumhouse studios on the designs and teasers. So he would of changed something if he wanted to. Several scripts were scrapped and years were shaved away for the movie to come out properly.

I've seen it so much in this comment section, and I agree completely. I couldn't quite pin it down at first, but the problem with these animatronic designs is that they're expressive, which honestly makes them a lot less creepy. The eyebrows just look sorta silly to me, and the eyes look almost too human, which I feel like makes it easier to connect with them. However, I really think they should look dead and emotionless, seeing as they are at the end of the day still animatronics, and I think that would make them a lot creepier. Thankfully I do believe that with a few more months in the oven, and some clever CGI to replace the eyes and parts of the faces of these animatronics, the film could capture what made the games so creepy.
@@Jr837_ But fixable, thankfully! I mean, if they can give Deadpool's mask emotion through some minimal CGI, I imagine the reverse could be done to give these animatronics the opposite
If only a person can make such good corrections in a small amount of time, then a company should be able to do more than simple corrections with a large space of time! It isn't like it's already over, we got 4 months until it releases. However all we got is a teaser, maybe good news will come when we receive a trailer or more info about the movie itself.
Technically they would have to change all their prepared marketing material. All the posters, the Tv spots, merchandise, and then screen test it all again. It is a simple change tho.
@@Battingtonyou did a great job on this, yet I doubt they will, perhaps the marketing is just to emphasise that it’s “scary” and the red eyes won’t be used in the movie?
I feel like everyone is missing the point of the red eyes. They are canonically from the games and books. It means that William has put the animatronics on attack mode.
After seeing them all back to back, I kinda like red DOTTED eyes the best, it keeps the "red represents them being possesed or controlled by afton and on the hunt" but is still more subtle.
These animatronics were never controlled by Afton though. They were possessed sure, but the spirits weren’t evil and were only killing night guards because of their resemblance to Afton, who would still be alive at this point.
Judging by the comments, my general take on the red eyes is shared. The red eyes just take away from the scare factor. Personally, I believe what is necessary to achieve that heightened scare is a mix of the lifeless expressions, the white-dot/red-dot/ "power's out!" eyes, and the *breathing*. I think if Blumhouse took Bonnie's mangled, almost-human breathing from the first game (when you have your security camera up in front of him in your office) and used it in the movie, the scare factor would go through the roof. I mean, imagine it: Lifeless animatronic bunny towering over you, blank expression on its face as it stares into your eyes, and garbled breaths just breaking the silence, seconds before your demise --- ugh, terrifying. It would be absolutely amazing.
@@clutchthecinnamonsergal8493 Dude, Security Breach isn't scary. All the OG Fnaf games were masterpieces of physiological horror. We aren't talking about "Scaryness" as Oooooh spooky. What makes the games scary is the sense of powerlessness, which also capitalices in our innate pattern recognicion to make us feel stress and anxiety (specially when they break said patterns and directly look at the player with blank emotionless stares) as a buildup to a jumpscare that may, or may not come.
@@clutchthecinnamonsergal8493 "uncanniness" and physcological horror is the original fnaf games went for, they were never meant to be action packed "do-stuff games" they, as the other person said, were meant to make you feel hopeless as every minute could literally be your last.
I feel like everyone is missing the point of the red eyes. They are canonically from the games and books. It means that William has put the animatronics on attack mode.
Honestly I think the main problem isn’t the red. It’s the fact that they gave the animatronics facial expression. They should have dead, unnerving, lifeless stares that make them *appear* as only costumes. And if we are talking eyes, normal eyes with preferably a lot of shadows would look the best. Edit: now that this is getting some attention, I’d like to go deeper here: What makes FNAF 1 into a truly terrifying game isn’t ONLY the gameplay itself. For me, it’s the horrifying and tragic story of small children being tricked and murdered, forced to haunt the suits instead of going to heaven where they belong. It’s unfair. Giving them expressions and emotions is like making fun of these poor souls. They are supposed to be DEAD Heck, I’ll give you a prime example: ruclips.net/video/TAqEY0OGpVs/видео.html If you go to 10:30, a phenomenal representation of pure DEATH. This is what FNAF should be about. This is *DREAD*
They will have the unnerving look you can see in the teaser trailer on the cameras, they only showed them with facial expressions to try to make the trailer to look "scarier" but Scott Cawthon made the game he knows how to make the movie
Well in my opinion it makes sense for them to have facial and besides wonder the red eyes is off help wanted and besides the endos have red eyes by the characters eye balls
in my opinion, it's only somewhat due to the red quite frankly i love the red dot edit in the video, as it looks simplistic but in a realistic kind of way you know? in the actual movie the entire eye lights up like those shitty gimmick plush toys i think funko put out, where the only explanation for this being that the entire eyes were designed to light up red, whereas in the game (namely withered bonnie) it's just two dots for the endoskeleton, not something to plaster on marketing
Man, u did a great job fr. Personally for me i would say that my main issue with trailer is not the red eyes(even tho i will admit they look goofy) but rather eyebrows. The thing i liked about og renders of fnaf 1 is emotionless looks of animatronics. They don't move their eyebrows nor do they "squish" their eyes, their face is always neutral, not that "edgy angy robot face" they showed here. Even tho I don't think they will prolly fix eyebrows and i think they did them like that mostly due to the age rating, I'm still hyped for the movie. As i said before, great job. Those frames with freddy behind curtain and bonnie staring at camera really gave me og fnaf1 vibes.
Yeah what they chose looks somehow kinda cheesy to me. But I know how much love and effort they all put into this film so I dont want to be disrespectful by any means. Honestly this might have been a good choice in my case just because I usually cant watch horror films 😅 Great work as always, Battington!
@@Cosmicdev58 Really feel like they're not done with the eye effects for sure, maybe they'll give the eyes a brighter glow like they are portrayed in the poster. They still have months to get done with post-production, so anything could happen.
i think the actual suits are made so "child friendly" that they actually don't look scary, which i mean is fantastic design by the artist being able to make them look look their part, but the issue is them being able to swap to being scary. in the game your terrified because you don't know whats right around the corner for you, and hgen they look at you, its blank stares directly at you, expressionless. it makes it way worse. i think the white dots fit that best because it just gives them the feel like they have these extremely small pupils that are just emotionless.
The red eyes are kind of a scapegoat issue. Yeah, sure, there's been four characters (Nightmare Chica, Withered Bonnie, Nightmare, Nightmare Fredbear) in the seven mainline games before SteelWool, and then eight instances in SteelWool's two games of red eyes (Vanny, Moon, Monty, the 'blob', the Glamrock Endoskeletons, Freddy and Baby in Help Wanted, and that Freddy model that's just complete darkness with a red face in Pizza Party), so it's most likely inspired by them. And it, because of the vastly differing styles, doesn't match. However, it's followed SteelWool and the series as a whole in another way - the animatronics act like they're living beings. They have facial expressions, with moving eyelids, eyebrows, focused eyes, and visible movement while watched. All of this wasn't a thing in the first seven games, pretty much. All the ones Scott made. The animatronics don't look at you, they rarely change their expressions, particularly in the first few, and what that means is that when they suddenly do look at you it's that much more intimidating, because it's a change in the patterns they demonstrate. In the trailer there's Bonnie narrowing his eyes, Foxy widening his when he finds someone, Freddy with those angry eyebrows from a single render that isn't even in any of the games (no character in any game in the franchise has done that, yet it's still somehow everywhere), and just constant movement. They shouldn't be doing that, it ruins the feel these designs are made for, which is that they aren't intended to move and you rarely if ever get to see them do so.
The fact that they looked so emotionless back in the first game despite moving and going after you, is what made them scary. It hit the uncanny valley in the sweet spot. The white dots just helped convey the supernatural anger much better as well.
stuff in trailers changes all the time, at the very least this is something simple. they probably just put it there just so they could have something for the trailer and will change it later.
In my opinion, 1:34 is WAY scarier than the red eyes in the actual teaser. I love the expressionless faces they have. The squinted red eyes just ain't it.
@@Some_random_StickmanI don’t get that choice. Unblinking eyes is way better and disturbing, just an emotionless animatronic face. Squinting is so goofy and cheesy , they should save that for showtime and when the animatronics are performing not for scares

your take on the eyes are amazing. these were something i DEFINITELY wanted to see in the movie. hopefully they'll rework the eyes in the final, but other than that, im hyped for the movie!
I do think in my opinion the criticism that people are giving about the red eyes might get blumhouse’s attention and maybe before the Final Cut of the movie is released they will change it to the white eyes or the red dots
@@KadesKove the entire community has been talking about this since the trailer release.. fym ‘doubt it lol’ like this is unrealistic, as if the sonic situation wasnt real or some shit 😂
Ok, my stance on the eyes has for the past 3 days been rather neutral. I was just happy that this movie was finnaly going to exist. But after seeing this it is definitely clear that blumhouse are most likely more then capable of doing better, but I’m keeping my stance on the idea that thier doing this for a reason, yes I imagine their will be an eventual change given the internets reaction, but my main point gos as follows. The entire movie, just from that 46 second teaser looks great, the team has put alot of time into making sure everything looks as accurate as possible to the sorce material. The eyes most likely aren’t just an, “Ok why not!” Moment, thier is definitely a legitimate reason to why they have made the eyes look the way they have. That’s just my thoughts, you can disagree if you want, but that’s my stance. For now, can we Atleast all agree that this has probably been one of FNAF’s best weeks in history?
I'd say it's because they wanted to keep things practical. The eyes aren't the best, but the rest of the design is SUPER ACCURATE, so I don't necessarily care. Besides, they could change it later on, or even do so in the next movies (if they plan for it).
That’s what I’m thinking - they probably have a good reason for not using the ironic dot eyes, perhaps on that is worked into the movie specific lore aswell
I would rather the movie be good when it comes out tho even if they delay a few month, althought their is 0 chance they do that since it comes out on halloween

@@mutatednut The expresiveness didn't change, and if they choose to show the animatronics as mouldy, disgusting statues more than killer robots this won't be a problem. As for the creepiness, neither were creepy to me? Sure maybe this one was more unsettling but i'm not shaking in my boots or anything.
@@jorgyt754 The expesiveness did change, Look at the final shot in the trailer, with the animatronics staring at the camera with their eyes half open giving a sort of angry look. I think a blank expressionless stare with the eyes wide open would have been far more effective.
The little red pupils give me chills especially in the dark. You think ur alone in a dark room until you can see two very small red dots for eyes. The moment you see them you know you’re fucked
The white dots on the curtain scene is just perfect. The problem with the ball pit scene is not just the eye color and light but the eyelids, it just seems goofy to me how they are squinting. I think in these cases what is better is what is simple, the empty stare animatronics usually have is what is scary to me, how one moment they can be moving in a joyful way and then just shut down and sit there looking.
I think that there will be scenes in the movie with the haunting white dots, its a more subtle horror and would play out best for when Mike is watching them on the cameras as opposed to the ominous red glow that they will have when they are on the attack.
these feel actually scary. the red eyes in the trailer feel...goofy. and i THINK they can work, but only in the right context. like, imagine this. it's halloween, and freddy's animatronics have a programmed mode to scare the kids a little bit. the red eyes/eyebrows moving give a very halloween attraction kinda vibe, and it could start out as that. but as the night progresses, their functions change. they shift back to their normal mode, yet their eyes still flicker light. their eyebrows move rapidly, their eyes begin blacking out/shifting color, and they begin making odd, human like noises. this is the only way i could see it working. honestly, blumhouse didn't have to do ANYTHING with the eyes/eyebrows. leaving them blank would've been miles scarier.
honestly, if they're going by practical there just might be 4 eye types in the movie. The normal/brightened eyes, red eyes, white dot and red dots. Remember the dots aren't from the animatronics but from the endo skeleton itself, so if you remove the eyes it'll replicate the dot effects
My senseless belief is that they are intentionally jarringly goofed up, so when the actual movie released, the scariness expectations was so low the theatrical version is better
Red dots/power flicker looked most effective for the curtain scene, while the white dots looked best in the ballpit scene to me. The point is… literally any of the dot options look better than the teaser trailer eyes. While the quality is unquestionably good for the animatronics, I think most people can safely say that the red eyes (and angry eyebrows, lol) give off Muppet vibes
this made me realize that it’s the combination of the glaring red “baked” eyes, as well as the facial expressions. We’ve never seen them with facial expressions before, and i think it takes away some of the fear because it makes them seem more human, almost like they’re planning or doing it purposely maliciously. It makes it feel like they have discernible reasoning
I liked the last version of the curtain scene. The dot versions look too much like little LED lights. But you nailed all the light up versions for the ball pit. Subtle is better. Im hoping that the lack of the white-dot eyes is because they are saving them for Golden Freddy
I think that Freddy in the curtian scene would look better with iconic, white dots. In the ballpit, they looked better with red dots, but red eyes are not bad.
I feel Freddy's Help Wanted Red eyes fit him well with the red dotted eyes coming in a close second, but with the ball pit scene, i feel the red dots are perfect.
i hate people with this mentality of "be grateful that so and so is even being made" rendering it devoid of any criticism, we as the consumer and the income that drives the production have the right to criticize aspects that we are displeased with, if it means the overall product is improved upon and made to the spectators satisfaction.
I've been doing some searching on the reactions on the all red eyes, and some say that the people who do not like the red eyes are ungrateful or are "being a crybaby.'" What they do NOT understand is that we are ALL extremely thankful for this movie. We love the actors, designs, locations, etc. The only thing we have a slight problem with is the all red eyes. While yes the red eyes are canon, we feel they could have been handled slightly differently. The way the red eyes were presented in your edit of the trailer was well executed. Based on the efficiency you had when you edited the trailer, the time needed to change this throughout the movie would be very small. I want to drive home more than anything is that regardless of what the eyes look like, I will watch this movie. I, for one, cant wait to watch fantasy and fun come to life on the big screen.
It's just crazy how big a controversy this has become. There is FAR worse things that could've been implemented in this movie and eyes are the thing that people are so passionately against. It's a miracle that the film even feels remotely similar to the games let alone have the animatronics look dead on to the games.
Personally just because it _could've_ been worse doesn't mean it isn't bad at all, it definitely takes away from the scare factor and dotted eyes (red or white) are definitely better and what's worse is the facial expression they should be lifeless the movie isn't remotely as scary as it has the potential to be.
@FNAFCS of course I would prefer the classic look of the white dots but this will definitely grow on people. It makes the movie stand out as it's own thing
@@soundclock2939 true it would make the movie stand out but at least something like the dotted red eyes instead of white because the original eyes in the trailer takes away from the scare factor

I want to believe the reason why they didn’t use the white dot eyes, was because the movie is set before William killed the 5 kids, so the animatronics are just modified by William to kill, but when the animatronics get possessed they’re gonna have the white dot eyes
The help wanted eyes are like did to the movie that why the red eyes did for help wanted like fnaf movie did mixed for all video games fnaf and look i like teaser trailer and I can't wait to watch the movie

I think another issue they having that is making them MUCH less scary is the fact that we are seeing WAY too much of them. In the original game, the lighting throughout the pizzeria was always dark or extremely dim and that pared with the bad cameras made them seem even less humane then they already were. I mean we barely even saw Freddy AT ALL in the cams in the first game. Just his white eyes. The movie has a ton of closeup shots in light which just doesn’t work. As with the red eyes, the way that they are just makes them look spaced out and uninterested. Which obviously doesn’t work when they are suppose to be trying to kill you. The white dots like the ones in the original games had an effect that made them feel like they were always staring at you, even if they weren’t completely facing you. You knew something wasn’t right the MOMENT you saw those specs. It’s just so unfortunate. Let’s hope they do in fact fix a few of these things by October. Sorry about the rambling. I was just sorta pissed about how they could miss such IMPORTANT details that made the original games so terrifying and unnerving.
Although it seems like this is the case when in danger maybe this is the animatronics way of scanning and processing which is why the color is red telling a person to stop so they can scan them and check if they're a threat
@@thegodzillafandomsrookie5514 the toys were built before the current ones so maybe it's a it saw something and it's processing it like a motion detector.
I like the shut out eyes because they are realistic, but if you think about animatronics who only get shedualed repairs let alone common maintancence due to the company wanting to lower costs (like most companys) the dust, smoke and wear on the eyes would make them dim and slightly yellow. As for the eyes, i think they are a good idea and are realistic even though the white dot eyes look more cool and creepy. Overall, 👍
I think some things not being realistic are exactly what made the animatronics so scary because they were doing things that they simply shouldn't be able to do like looking directly at the camera, moving strangely around the pizzeria and especially having completely empty eyes. with the white dots, all these weird things are what make them scary
I think the only thing that worries me is how expressive they are. Freddy with angry eyes just looks kinda silly, he's a lot scarier with no facial expression at all
With the aim the producers had to use no cgi at all to make the movie as realistic as possible in the real world sense, I honestly wouldn't mind that the only thing that was cgi was the eyes. Honestly, every single concept that you had with different eyes from different games and books were certainly better than what was shown. But we are all basing the quality of the movie based on the fact that the teaser trailer was released just a few days ago. Meaning that there is still room for improvement for any touchups, like the eyes. But if it's really all that they can do as a movie production, we can only hope that the entire execution of the movie itself will play out in the best way it can. But in the end, we're happy the movie was made in the first place!
The only reason for the goofy red eyes and angry facial expressions instead of possessed eyes with white dots and dead expressions is; to don't scare children, as unfortunately this movie will be made to them, just like security breache was. They don't care to fans, just for money, kids are easy money, "don't make them scary, make them look goofy so kids want to buy them"
I honestly prefer the white dots over the red because it doesn't change too much about the eyes, but it still conveys a sign of life hidden within the dead, soulless balls of plastic the animatronics use as eyes
I absolutely love these designs of the eyes, but I guess that there is a reason behind why the eyes look red, and we know that, they're possessed by William Afton, and when their eyes become black with the white pupils they're possessed by the souls of the dead kids, so I guess that we're going to see both variants, don't hate a movie by 40 seconds of a teaser guys, Scott doesn't do things randomly...
My favorite edited scene is the Ball Pit with red dot eyes - the one that Silver Eyes cover-inspired! They also look similar to Terminator's eyes in the first movie, that was well and truly terrifying. For the Curtain scene, the Help Wanted-inspired eyes are the best; everything else either doesn't show the "face" outline - the original scene dim lighting in the trailer works better when it's not just the glowing irises - or the powerout eyes, which just always were too awkard to me.
This is proof that changing the eyes before release is absolutely possible and not something that would delay the movie. I doubt they will but these versions feel like a big improvement
I am almost certain that the white dots will be used in the film, but in a point where the animatronics are completely possesed, my guess is when golden freddy appears the other animatronics will change their eyes to look like him (some spirits thing idk)

However, I really think they should look dead and emotionless, seeing as they are at the end of the day still animatronics, and I think that would make them a lot creepier. Thankfully I do believe that with a few more months in the oven, and some clever CGI to replace the eyes and parts of the faces of these animatronics, the film could capture what made the games so creepy.
yeah, the expressions look silly imo
@@Jr837_ But fixable, thankfully! I mean, if they can give Deadpool's mask emotion through some minimal CGI, I imagine the reverse could be done to give these animatronics the opposite
well one good thing is Bonnie is bound to be creepy cause he has no eyebrows for expression.
Yeah, they are going to make characters expressive and then they are going to remove it with CGI
Well, the animatronics are possessed, it could be the ghosts who are making the expressions

@@SeasonalGFilms Jesus Christ, do you not get the point? The red dots will do just as fine, I’m pretty sure even in the books they were red dots

I love the white dots, not only does it make sense, but it's just so chilling!
FNAF ISNT SCARY ANYMORE STOP ASKING FOR MORE SCARY!!!
I agree, I'd absolutely shit myself if that happened
Helpt Wanted Eyes honestly work the best for Freddy and the first Ball Pit scene for Bonnie, but for the full shot, white dots work best for Bonnie.
Honestly I think the main problem isn’t the red. It’s the fact that they gave the animatronics facial expression.
They should have dead, unnerving, lifeless stares that make them *appear* as only costumes. And if we are talking eyes, normal eyes with preferably a lot of shadows would look the best.
Edit: now that this is getting some attention, I’d like to go deeper here:
What makes FNAF 1 into a truly terrifying game isn’t ONLY the gameplay itself. For me, it’s the horrifying and tragic story of small children being tricked and murdered, forced to haunt the suits instead of going to heaven where they belong. It’s unfair. Giving them expressions and emotions is like making fun of these poor souls. They are supposed to be DEAD
Heck, I’ll give you a prime example:
ruclips.net/video/TAqEY0OGpVs/видео.html
If you go to 10:30, a phenomenal representation of pure DEATH. This is what FNAF should be about. This is *DREAD*
yes,, i agree!! in my opinion, the normal eyes(especially with shadows) look a lot creepier than anything. even the white dots.
They will have the unnerving look you can see in the teaser trailer on the cameras, they only showed them with facial expressions to try to make the trailer to look "scarier" but Scott Cawthon made the game he knows how to make the movie
Well in my opinion it makes sense for them to have facial and besides wonder the red eyes is off help wanted and besides the endos have red eyes by the characters eye balls
in my opinion, it's only somewhat due to the red
quite frankly i love the red dot edit in the video, as it looks simplistic but in a realistic kind of way you know?
in the actual movie the entire eye lights up like those shitty gimmick plush toys i think funko put out, where the only explanation for this being that the entire eyes were designed to light up red, whereas in the game (namely withered bonnie) it's just two dots for the endoskeleton, not something to plaster on marketing
nah bro that would look so incredibly goofy in an actual live-action film… even more so then the already goofy red eyes
Those frames with freddy behind curtain and bonnie staring at camera really gave me og fnaf1 vibes.
i agree! they are much scarier with the dead expressions they had in the game, it gives more of a haunted vibe.
Yeah what they chose looks somehow kinda cheesy to me. But I know how much love and effort they all put into this film so I dont want to be disrespectful by any means. Honestly this might have been a good choice in my case just because I usually cant watch horror films 😅
Great work as always, Battington!
this is exactly how i feel! i’m so excited to see how accurate and how much effort was put in but it’s that small thing that makes it cheesy.
@@Cosmicdev58 Really feel like they're not done with the eye effects for sure, maybe they'll give the eyes a brighter glow like they are portrayed in the poster. They still have months to get done with post-production, so anything could happen.
@@justjohn312Let’s just hope they at the very least look like they do in Help Wanted…
i think the actual suits are made so "child friendly" that they actually don't look scary, which i mean is fantastic design by the artist being able to make them look look their part, but the issue is them being able to swap to being scary. in the game your terrified because you don't know whats right around the corner for you, and hgen they look at you, its blank stares directly at you, expressionless. it makes it way worse. i think the white dots fit that best because it just gives them the feel like they have these extremely small pupils that are just emotionless.
the designs are almost exactly the same as the games, the only real difference is the eyes. idk what you mean by this.
@@jorgyt754 they look a little different I literally noticed that
The red eyes are kind of a scapegoat issue.
The angry eyebrows Freddy reminds me of his picture in the UCN menu
freddy has angry eyebrows in many screenshots and in ucn
The fact that they looked so emotionless back in the first game despite moving and going after you, is what made them scary. It hit the uncanny valley in the sweet spot. The white dots just helped convey the supernatural anger much better as well.
What
Yeah. Don't mess with the uncanny valley!
stuff in trailers changes all the time, at the very least this is something simple. they probably just put it there just so they could have something for the trailer and will change it later.
I’m amazed, man. Your editing techniques are so good

In my opinion, 1:34 is WAY scarier than the red eyes in the actual teaser. I love the expressionless faces they have. The squinted red eyes just ain't it.
Agreed
@@Some_random_StickmanI don’t get that choice. Unblinking eyes is way better and disturbing, just an emotionless animatronic face. Squinting is so goofy and cheesy , they should save that for showtime and when the animatronics are performing not for scares

All of these are better than what they chose to do in the movie, i couldn’t take them seriously with the red eyes

I like how you kinda gave them the silver eyes looks from the fnaf book series. This is perfect!!!!
the atmosphere is so eerie and intense now! fabulous job battington can we get a round of applause everybody?👏
I find it funny how Cory said Scott should hire you and now both of you had some part in the movie making
I think the only thing that could make the white Dots could Be to make the rest of the eye look like a black void
I think that there will be scenes in the movie with the haunting white dots, its a more subtle horror and would play out best for when Mike is watching them on the cameras as opposed to the ominous red glow that they will have when they are on the attack.
i love how terrifying bonnie looks with the normal and red dotted eyes
I feel red eyes mean the robots are being controlled by spooky purple man, and when the kids are dead then the white eyes will happen
The word "spooky purple man" made me laugh so hard
I like the red dots more, it shows aggression, instead of soulless, expressionless, burning white dots, that's for toy chica and golden Freddy.
these feel actually scary. the red eyes in the trailer feel...goofy. and i THINK they can work, but only in the right context. like, imagine this. it's halloween, and freddy's animatronics have a programmed mode to scare the kids a little bit. the red eyes/eyebrows moving give a very halloween attraction kinda vibe, and it could start out as that. but as the night progresses, their functions change. they shift back to their normal mode, yet their eyes still flicker light. their eyebrows move rapidly, their eyes begin blacking out/shifting color, and they begin making odd, human like noises. this is the only way i could see it working. honestly, blumhouse didn't have to do ANYTHING with the eyes/eyebrows. leaving them blank would've been miles scarier.
honestly, if they're going by practical there just might be 4 eye types in the movie.
They should have hired battington to do the animatronics eyes because this is amazing
I think the original red eyes from the trailer are fine but this editing work is crazy
1:04
the way lighning makes it look like he is smiling just makes everything better
I liked the last version of the curtain scene. The dot versions look too much like little LED lights. But you nailed all the light up versions for the ball pit. Subtle is better.
Im hoping that the lack of the white-dot eyes is because they are saving them for Golden Freddy
Everything that you do on editing and VHS tapes are perfect battington 🎉
I think that Freddy in the curtian scene would look better with iconic, white dots. In the ballpit, they looked better with red dots, but red eyes are not bad.
I feel Freddy's Help Wanted Red eyes fit him well with the red dotted eyes coming in a close second, but with the ball pit scene, i feel the red dots are perfect.
i'm already SO SICK of people nitpicking this. fucking hell, the trailer looks good. just be glad it's actually getting made how Scott wanted.

What they do NOT understand is that we are ALL extremely thankful for this movie.
If Battington can make it look good... man, the creators can sure change it to the iconic white eyes we all know and loved.

1:08 Although I'm not a big fan of the red eyes the way battington did it ways cool I hope they go for this if they still keep the red eyes in the movie.
Nice job!, Love your work dude!. Big fan of all the projects you work on. Can't wait to see what you'll work on next!
You should be one of the producers of the movie, your work is genuinely incredible!
Although it seems like this is the case when in danger maybe this is the animatronics way of scanning and processing which is why the color is red telling a person to stop so they can scan them and check if they're a threat
it’s too far stretched
Good theory, but that would work better with the toys since the toys are said to have a built in criminal database
@@thegodzillafandomsrookie5514 the toys were built before the current ones so maybe it's a it saw something and it's processing it like a motion detector.
All of the controversies asside can we all just agree that the animatronics look great and that they truly did an amazing job with recreating them?
I like the shut out eyes because they are realistic, but if you think about animatronics who only get shedualed repairs let alone common maintancence due to the company wanting to lower costs (like most companys) the dust, smoke and wear on the eyes would make them dim and slightly yellow. As for the eyes, i think they are a good idea and are realistic even though the white dot eyes look more cool and creepy. Overall, 👍
The realism part to me doesn't make since they are possessed by dead children and all but I respect your opinion
@@YxngKing252 I don’t understand how it’d be realistic though, the endo-skeleton has a small dot, how does that light up the whole eye?
@@vreikezen8268 that's what I'm saying plus in my original reply I meant the white eyes represent the dead kids better
Jesus christ, "normal eyes" is a lot more scarier than I thought it was going to be.
Please do this for the actual trailer too if it's possible! I'd kill to see that!
0:52 That could be cool if Josh Hutcherson is in a dark room and behind the eyes appear and the music plays.
The only reason for the goofy red eyes and angry facial expressions instead of possessed eyes with white dots and dead expressions is; to don't scare children, as unfortunately this movie will be made to them, just like security breache was. They don't care to fans, just for money, kids are easy money, "don't make them scary, make them look goofy so kids want to buy them"
Thank you so much for this video and for including every take of what their eyes have been portrayed as in the games.
I honestly prefer the white dots over the red because it doesn't change too much about the eyes, but it still conveys a sign of life hidden within the dead, soulless balls of plastic the animatronics use as eyes
BATTINGTON YOURE FNAF VHS IS SO GOOD AAAAHHHHH❤❤❤❤
I absolutely love these designs of the eyes, but I guess that there is a reason behind why the eyes look red, and we know that, they're possessed by William Afton, and when their eyes become black with the white pupils they're possessed by the souls of the dead kids, so I guess that we're going to see both variants, don't hate a movie by 40 seconds of a teaser guys, Scott doesn't do things randomly...
The white or red dots would’ve been best I think for the actual movie
I think the white dots and red dots look better than the red eyes we got in the trailer, which I think don't look very scary and more goofy
The black eyes white pupils in the ballpit scene though we're probs my favourite, really gave true nostalgia to the characters
Wow, Battington. You do some amazing work. Even with this, it's really great. Amazing, even!
The red dot eyes in the thumbnail are good.
Im hoping in the movie they just use more eye settings instead of the red eyes
The eyes are way BETTER than the original
This is proof that changing the eyes before release is absolutely possible and not something that would delay the movie. I doubt they will but these versions feel like a big improvement
