Corners are my main weakness and I think this video will help so much. Thank you! I've watched all the GMBN videos on cornering and this has helped so much more.
Great video.Really helpful thanks. I just wish the intermittent music wasn't so much louder than the commentary as I was trying to sneakily watch this during office hours pretending I am working hard with the volume just loud enough to hear you and then BOOM, my staff can really hear what I am doing.(ie not my work !) Obviously time to get headphones. Thanks again.
Very good video lots more like these please with your bro.I learnt loads from this vid so do one teaching Louis to hit doubles and tables etc the correct way because sometimes I'm a bit sketchy on takeoff lol
So good advice, I was breaking in the middle, so these tips really help.. can you do a vid for jumps? I think I know where you filmed this and the jumps have had the gaps made bigger. Last time I did a big jump I stacked it and spilt my shoulder blade!
Cj u maybe Right but i hear that road noise daily. not many hills in Essex to. and that rumble you just don't get from the a12/a13/a120 ect. only the 25 has that effect.
You sound (excuse the pun) like you know what you're talking about and I agree. Just never seen that before. If M25 there'd be only one area it could be. Good ears, lol
You dont mention it but one of the things i've learnt with you its body position. Can you focus on this topic more? Heel and foot on the pedal, hips and back, arms etc. That would be definitively helpful!
It’s all about leaning forward and putting weight onto the inside hand. It places weight over front wheels so you don’t under steer and supports your body. If you’re doing it right it’s a work out. Forget all that foot and bike-body separation crap
Sorry, can't watch any of your video's anymore because of the insanely loud music. I live in an apartment building in the city and don't want to make enemies of my neighbours. I'll have to find some other source for MTB info, I guess.
Love your Carbon Snabb Sam!!! I just receive my Snabb from the mail a couple of week ago, my first full-suspension!! Can`t wait from all the snow to melt here in Canada so i can fully enjoye it!!!! Love your videos !!!
Master Sam, can you do a teaching video on how to go fast on all kinds of trails specifically down hill... thank you God bless and more power, to the sky's!!! 👍💪🙏🚵♂️✌😝
Cornering was tough so I went 2.5/2.4 tires.Conering improved drastic! After a few mos realized tires were a bit heavy I went down to 2.3/2.4 and broke PRs and tapped KMs. What REALLY IMPROVED was confidence and technique. Have confidence and trust in your tires and wheels which help in confidence to get lower and try things you never thought would be possible!
press down on outside peg and twist open throttle , opps that how to berm in moto-x !! every one forgets the most important how to . how to fall off safely, i know but do others , wink wink , next how too ?? with a bail compilation , of your bails of course and how and why you twisted your body in that way
Love the how to Sam. Since most of us have access to a some kind of bike park, what about how to's like step downs, step ups, jumps with and without vert. Oh, next time you come to the East Coast swing through Thunder Mountain. Keep being RAD Sam.
I'm loving these vids but you could bring them to the next level by using clip-on mics, sometimes it quite hard to hear what you are saying and then the music is way too loud in comparison. Hope you don't mind the criticism. Still a top vid! :-)
This was really helpful I'm good at berms but not a pro at them like you. This video will be good for my friend because he hit a berm then hit a tree shortly afterwards because he could not corner fast enough. Hope things are going well in Germany.
Class vid dude! The braking in the berms are what I do as well! My friend always used to say this to me and I never understood what he meant! Cleared it right up for me aha! :)
Loving your How to guides dude, but i get the feeling Lewi might be a bit better than you let on. he seems to almost hop off the lip coming out of that berm. Not a complaint honest ;)
did you biuld these trails if you did could you do a trail building episode !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jake Mannings were about s . the Olympic track at Hadleigh just not cutting the mustard no more. I'm still guessing Epping. sounds like m25 in the distance
Sam Pilgrim Epping or Warley only two places I can think of that u can hear motorway in distance. come on spill. I 20/30 mins away from Epping. 5/Warley. come on spill... you know you wana
A trail bike, DH is not for beginners. I wouldn't advise hitting anything classed as a DH run unless you can first handle a bike over any terrain you encounter. Lewi here is at an advantage because he shares the same awesome sauce (blood) as Sam.
You should get a "hardcore hardtail" second hand. They are cheap, super strong and can ride every terrain. People say they are better for getting your technique right, i would say not too much(tehnique of full sus bike is different) but the best thing about them is the price.
Sam, I've heard it helps if you drop the outside pedal for long berms/corners. What do you think about that? Do you always stay parallel to the ground with the cranks?
It's hilarious how alike you and your brother speak.
Scary right!!! Haha
This vid is sooo old your videos have gotten so much better over 2 years
Make a video on how to get air of off roots please!!!
Check your levels mate!
Yeah sorry, when i rush to upload i miss out on important things!!
Corners are my main weakness and I think this video will help so much. Thank you! I've watched all the GMBN videos on cornering and this has helped so much more.
Good to hear!!!
I watched that “how to corner” gmbm vid and they over complicated it. Sam kept it sweet and simple it was way easier to follow.
who needs the right speed, just bomb it!
I live in Essex where is it that you ride looking for some new places
Great video.Really helpful thanks. Good idea!

Thanks man!
So good advice, I was breaking in the middle, so these tips really help.. can you do a vid for jumps? I think I know where you filmed this and the jumps have had the gaps made bigger. Last time I did a big jump I stacked it and spilt my shoulder blade!
Yeah I'll do that soon :)
Whereabouts in deepest darkest Essex is that?
at a guess Epping. but many a place like that .
I don't think it's Epping Forest.
Cj u maybe Right but i hear that road noise daily. not many hills in Essex to. and that rumble you just don't get from the a12/a13/a120 ect. only the 25 has that effect.

Yeah next time man
Funny watching this again now because lewbs is a beast at smashing berms now

Hey, what is a good beginner downhill bike?

Baem 2.0 Craigslist, and find something within your price range, do a bit or research on the bike, and if u like it, then go for it
Benji i ride Cross Country in races and ride in every second (since 1 year)
YT Tues AL ;P
