I've been looking at a bunch of controllers and I think this one is the best value for me, a trade off between buying a no frills budget model and the higher end models that have built in DVS support which Serato certainly charge a premium for. I would be inclined to eventually add the Reloop Neon to enhance it's SP6 slicing, looping and fx capabilities with its larger RGB pads also being great for finger drumming and if I want DVS later on, the Denon DS1 would be the best option for me. Thanks for the great video Denon.
I'm using an MC6000 Mk1. Want to buy the 4000 as i don't need too many functions. But one thing I'm confused about all the reviews on 4000 is how do these LED meters work. A bit confusing. Wished it was like the 6000.
Hello, Ryan. Just discovering this controller and was about to pull the trigger until I realized it is not only discontinued, but possibly will not work with Windows 11. Are you still using yours?? And what is your current experience with Windows 11?
Hello I just received this unit and trying to connect to my Serato Dj but it's not activating can you help me out and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you
Denon really dropped the ball on this unit as far as there is no master level meter read out like the MC3000 has. I've done a couple events with this unit and I barely have it that loud in the meters easily bleed into the red. From what I have learned, the meters only work off the gain levels, which easily bleed into the red, which makes it impossible to monitor your loudness. My MC3000 never came close to the red on the meters, probably because that unit has a master switch on top of each meter channel.
I know this is a LATE reply - but No - the Aux input does not have any EQ adjustments on board; only volume. Yes the crossfader can be changed also. There is a video on it...
Question... does this work with the new ipad running Algoriddim Djay? Since the ipad has usb-c, it will connect directly to the usb-b input of the MC4000. Will the mapping be ready to go?
Hi +Shane Cashin. The 6000 was a great unit and had many essential features that DJs loved. With that said we are working on a lot of new projects to continue that legacy. Keep posted-2016.
look like a good solid controller and I'm sure it's typical Denon build quality, on the downside it looks TOO SMALL great for travel but horrible for DJ's with large hands.
+nomecaca I have huge hands myself and its a good size to carry and the platters are comfortable to control. If you get to a nearby dealer I would advise you to check it out for yourself.
+Roland McTavish If you are reffering to wires for the audio out you have 3 options. 1 XLR out. 2. RCA Out. 3 Balance 1/4 inch booth monitors. We are the only controller with balance booth outputs out there.
hi. i play music with new denon mc4000 and serato 1.9.1 one month but whenever I play sometimes ACTIVATED some buttons without i press button.!!!! Activated like a effect or loop or pause on it's own and goes to drive me crazy.... Why ??? my laptop is dell intel core i5-4200 1.6ghz to 2.3ghz 6gb ram and windows 10
I had a Numark Mixtrack Platinum and aside from the Mixtrack Platinum having displays in the jog wheels, the Denon is superior in every way. If you have them side by side, the Numark looks and feels like a toy. Denon all the way. Plus the a Denon has dual mic outputs with each control and echo function plus aux input and is metal chassis. The Numark while decent for. Beginner is more for bedroom djing.
hello, I am Alex, I live in Romania and I am 13 years old. I love music and I want to buy a used dj controller in very good condition at a good price. If you help me I thank you very much!
I'm comfortable with this controller. But Denon does not want to take into account my appeals to technical support(((. I wrote on the forum that the controller does not work adequately. Spontaneous and randomly periodically turn on effects and sampler. Or the playing track may change spontaneously. The firmware has not been updated for 2 years!!! Sadly, I have to get rid of this controller. And the credibility of the denon brand has declined, due to ignoring my appeals.
Hello - Sorry to hear you experience those problems. I use the MC4000 with Virtual DJ (did not like the interface with Serato Lite) - and have never experienced any of those problems.. Going on 3+ years . Although very light use (4-5 times a year for 3-4 hours each time). The one problem I had was that the crossfader would auto fade on the software for no reason and I had to mouse it back in place... Until I sprayed compressed air under there and problem solved. It could be that dust is causing your problems in the hardware... I also had to open mine up to replace the master level potentiometer because it broke off in my carry bag! It's fairly easy - but if you try that - give it a good blow out with compressed air. Hope that helps.
Looks like a very well made unit, good to see its metal too!
DJ Tutor
yes dj ellaskins i got mine. very well made. by the way i watch your videos. im your fan here from the philippines. more power! 👌🍻🙌🙂
This is an awesome DJ Controller. I am using it Since about 3 months an it handles perfect.
This by far is the best review. I'm getting one for sure., EXCEPT with MC400 I still can't hear myself

Bought one today to finally stop using controllers with fiddly tempo sliders. Hope I won’t be disappointed!
I have it and love it. Wouldn't change a thing. I use it with VDJ and djay pro on a MBP. I wish deck saver would make a lid for it.
They do make one, check their website
Is this over kill, all I want to do is DJ at weddings and smoothly mix tunes from one to the other,
just wish the jogs had a visual marker. You'd be surprised how much more appealing this unit would be with a feature like that.
+Mr. Wright you'r right it has the look but don't show it
Bought it, Very happy customer. One thing though, wish the sampler buttons were 6 as in "SP-6" instead of just 4.
The first 6000 was a great controller, the MKII was awesome, so I'm biting my nails as to how the next generation will be.

The phone/cue knobs are on the side. They will not be accessible when the unit is in the rack. MC6000 had them on the top.
Hello I just received this unit and trying to connect to my Serato Dj but it's not activating can you help me out and let me know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you
Where is the beat jump feature?
Donde Puedo Comprar Este Articulo!?
Does this controller have functions like slicer?

hey the output for my headphones isn't working, just unboxed today and I haven't been able to hear sounds. Any suggestions?
does is work well with traktor?
will this mix videos with serato dj or is a separate upgrade needed?
Very very good review!
Nice! it's metal build..also it is more professional dj controller
can i use MC4000 as a audio interface for mastering? good dac chipset?
I love my mc4K
hello how do i put the sync off? thank you
Is the aux input eq adjustable? Or set to flat with volume control only? Also is the cross fader user replaceable? Thanks in advance!
I know this is a LATE reply - but No - the Aux input does not have any EQ adjustments on board; only volume. Yes the crossfader can be changed also. There is a video on it...
Is the Denon mc4000 good for beginner dj who is learning how to DJ
alfred sanchez I think so. Did you buy one yet?
is this only for mixing?
Question... does this work with the new ipad running Algoriddim Djay? Since the ipad has usb-c, it will connect directly to the usb-b input of the MC4000. Will the mapping be ready to go?
Yes. It works.
Having trouble installing the software/firmware. Can you help me out?
I love everything about this controller except the mixer level meters, usually one will be dedicated for each channel.
When will a new 6000 be coming out?
Hi +Shane Cashin. The 6000 was a great unit and had many essential features that DJs loved. With that said we are working on a lot of new projects to continue that legacy. Keep posted-2016.
the 6000 really is a number, but i will keep my eye Denon for the next generation of Flagship models.
I just buy the Denon mc4000. Do you know if will work with virtual DJ?
Marlon Green Just check the software website
Dude, everything works with VDJ
where can i buy this controller? does anyone know?

+Denon DJ hello what is the price of this equipment, I live in Brazil and I am interested, send e-mail the required information
+DJ FOKINHA OFICIAL it should be about $399 US
great!
So your RUclips tutorial doesn't talk and show the Pad Modes... great tutorial.
What wires do I need?
+Roland McTavish If you are reffering to wires for the audio out you have 3 options. 1 XLR out. 2. RCA Out. 3 Balance 1/4 inch booth monitors. We are the only controller with balance booth outputs out there.
does it have ducking another word for voice over dont know why they dont call it voice over
+soul winner for christ You mean "Talk Over" plus Ducks love to quack.

my laptop is dell intel core i5-4200 1.6ghz to 2.3ghz 6gb ram and windows 10
this seems to be a flaw in this model, but Denon decided to remain silent and ignore it.
it will work with ipad and djay pro right?
But of course, you have to run the levels into the red....
Wish one is better numark mistrak 3 or denon mc 400 please thanks
I had a Numark Mixtrack Platinum and aside from the Mixtrack Platinum having displays in the jog wheels, the Denon is superior in every way. Ok bro thanks.
its vdj compatible?
+Victor Hugo Gomez Yes it is compatible.
can i record my sets with this
Yes with Serato DJ pro
hello, I am Alex, I live in Romania and I am 13 years old. I love music and I want to buy a used dj controller in very good condition at a good price. If you help me I thank you very much!
Try GuitarCenter.Com. They have a lot of used dj gear. Just click in the "Used" link on their webpage.
This controller is literally perfect except for one thing. No crossfader curve adjustment for scratch DJs. Ugh.
+erratic_calm you can adjust in the software setup section
Eddie Becerra AB TEK PRODUCTIONS That's dope. Thanks for the heads up. Kinda makes me interested in the Pioneer DDJ-SB2 now to have a portable setup.
+erratic_calm I'm deciding between those 2 which one do u suggest me? I'm a beginner
Victor Rodriguez Probably the Denon. It has longer faders and will be better for proper beat matching.
Right doesn't have it
How much $$$$$$$$
+Emmanuel Wedgeworth (DJCBZ) $399 US
I'm comfortable with this controller. But Denon does not want to take into account my appeals to technical support(((.

Is it correct that Denon have now been bought out by the crap factory that make shitty MTX Numark stuff?
Please, articulate your voie.
DENON esta MUY MAL no tienen actualizaciones de drivers , es muy muy malo esto .... actualizate DENON
Too late to the game IMO. Denon makes great gear but they are always way to late with their gear.
