The "twelve" is simply beautiful. An all time classic.
Love those radials, nothing today sounds so great.
Yep really outstanding examples of beautiful airplanes from the 30's. Thanks!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Those happen to be my two favorite planes of all time. They are simply beautiful.
Gorgeous looking craft and the sound of those radials.....
Beautiful machines
Beech is indeed one of the few of really beautiful biplanes I've ever seen!
Galveston Flight Museum in TX has a Beech 17 and its one of the most dead sexy airplanes I've ever seen.
as a kid my grandfather should be the very spot where the first Elektra was laid out he told me he designed the cowling and motor mount he love the beach also and built a nice model it was flown on a line with retractable landing gear I call it art deco he called him streamliners ..I can't believe all the great videos this channel is a dream ...
stunning flying Art Deco beautys ...
The epitome of aircraft design- 1930s art deco streamlining. Beautiful. I'd love to have a job as a janitor, cleaning up in hangars around airplanes like this.
Come to Lewistown, MT I got lots of sweeping that could be done
Very nice jos!. Both fly beatifully!
The Electra now flies in Belgium (Zwartberg)
So the Lockheed Super Constellation was a development from the Electra. That explains their beautiful proportions.
I feel like I saw that very same electra flying over our neighborhood the other day!
Quite possible if you're in the USA....
Hey, vos vidéos sont magnifiques ! Votre chaine est incroyable.
Les avions à hélice sont splendides.
Merci beaucoup.
Salutations
You know this is interesting
cool
The staggerwing is like the sexxiest woman you've ever known in your life!
It has retracts! :)
sorry about the bad spelling voice to text
As heartbreaking as this is going to sound, I was at the Jennings Louisiana Airport one year at a Stearman Fly In. Someone was taxiing an aircraft much like this one, did not pay attention, and completely fu***ed up a stainless steel propeller blade on some steel directional sign. Even assuming he was rich enough to afford repairs, it made me sick to see and hear it happen! I am referring to a staggerwing in this video, by the way.
Britwits are exceptionally perceptive.../this Bloke is doing a story on the Staggerwing and he fails to mention that the unusual forward stagger of the Lower wing permits the designer to install a perfect retractable landing gear, something difficult for most bipes. In a tale of Two conversions , Sir Sid Camm of Hawker ripped the Bipe wings off the Fury Fighter and placed the wings in the logical place, the bottom of the fuselage--this permitted the design of a nice wide tract landing gear, LIKE the Staggerwing! Grumman on the other hand screwed the pooch, ( converting the F3F to an F4F ) by idiotically placing the one wing in the middle and leaving the absurd Biplane landing gear in place. The Stag was good looking, fast, and had a great almost FW looking Retract gear. g l
Almost real.....
Hmmmmmm......... Finally something New Zealanders don't take credit for..................hee hee hee
