Friends and I at school would sing this song time and time again, we loved it! Great theme tunes back then and such good shows for children, unlike now.

My hubby worked on a local radio station in the 80's with the man that wrote this theme. He was a real character. Sadly no longer with us, he lived life hard and to the fullest 🙂

Thank you for a nostalgic trip down memory lane 🙏🙏
I was 16 when I watched this lovely little series...... simple, no frills, beautifully acted. I'm 65 now.

Yes nostalgic trip, used to love Follyfoot, watched it second time round when they re-aired it. As you say such simple series back then, nothing like it on tv today.

I got the DVDs of it last year. I love everything about it except it ended all too soon (sigh). Very catchy theme tune. TV was great for kids from the 1960s through the 70s. Tom Grattan’s War was another favourite of mine. I got that series too but my collecting of the children’s tv series I loved, began when I came across the theme tune for The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe starring Robert Hoffmann as Robinson Crusoe. There were plenty great series back then. I remember watching The World At War series with my dad. The theme tune by Carl Davis is hauntingly beautiful and the Narration by Sir Laurence Olivier is superb. I’m in the second half of my 60s now.

as a kid in the earlyish 70's age about 11-12, my m8 & I used to regularly cycle through the village of follifoot nr harrogate on our way for a day out in knaresborough. I remember watching follyfoot on the TV and we thought it was actually filmed and about there, and i never really noticed till now it's spelt slightly different lol, anyhoo happy days !!

Still one of the best theme tunes ever, too.

As a 15 year old I had the hots for Dora. Years of smoking took its toll and gave her a gravelly voice and like me shy didn’t age too well either. Her husband was killed in a car crash many years ago. I loved the TV series and have all the episodes as they are available on 3 DVD’s

It's pure coincidence, but my family & I (also) lived in Buckingham (the County town) in the 70's when this show aired....I had no idea at the time that Blake had been born there...stranger than fiction...

Nothing much happened in this program. Loved Arthur English in everything he did . Dora had a permanently furrowed brow all the time. It had a spooky feeling ( as the late great Dame Edna would say) that program for me.
