I've had the money and been waiting to pull the trigger on a set of adjustable dumbbells for years and none of them have had it all at this price point. As soon as I saw the price I smashed buy now. I'm so happy that I waited for these at 125lbs per hand rather than settling for nuobells.
Bought my Pepins in December. These seem really similar and much less expensive as noted in the video. Kinda wish I had waited, but who knew. Anyway, love the Pepin's. Work well and look awesome!
I have some thoughts... I have the original Canadian Pepin's and they are great. I also own some fixed Rep dumbbells and they are fine for their price point. With that said, I hope Rep maintains the quality of the Pepin knurling because the Rep fixed dumbbells are not even close. I realize many people may not notice this, but I do. I like that the handle goes all the way to the plate on the Rep/Pepin version and that the handle is 10 lbs vs the original Pepins. I also like the all-black look, although the cerakote may not hold up as well as the nickel coating. I am very happy that the price point will be more attainable for more people, however, this drastically undercuts those of us who bought from Pepin in the secondary market as the Rep version is literally half the price. That's my only complaint which really doesn't matter until someone makes something better because I'm not selling my Pepins. 🤷♂😂
Coop! Thought of you as soon as I saw these announced. Too bad you helped convert me over to powerblocks long ago. These for sure is what I would go with if I didn’t already have adjustables. Thanks for the content, can’t wait to see the hands on review!
I went with the Poweblock EXP 100's after watching Coop review them a few months ago. Just received them about 2 weeks ago. I'm happy with them. I've never been one to order something new on the market right away. I like to see how they actually perform in use for an extended period. Will the sliding mechanism for weight changes on these jam? I know Coop mentioned in the review that something in his Peppin's is stuck. Just waiting for more people to use them and review them a little more long term. If all looks good I may consider.
Coop, I can’t believe we haven’t heard from you regarding the Aries 2.0 yet 😮. I know there’s only prototype pictures out so far but would love to start talking about it. Thank god they raised the height of the low row and made it a center pulley 🎉

I hope REP make a stand for these Reppins. Otherwise, they will be a pain to use in my small fitness room. I am going to get rid of my dumbbell rack and fixed dumbbells as soon as I get an adjustable set with a stand. We'll wait until September. Thanks Coop for your timely information.
Same. I have the Pepins and the stand he offers is just too big for my space. I use my old Nuobell stand and it works great, but would really like one like it actually designed for the Pepins.
Been wanting to upgrade my Bowflex 552s for like a year now. Constantly waffling on Snode, Nuobell, Rep Quickdraws, Trulap.... They all have some dealbreaker flaw... too bulky, not heavy enough, weird increments, no 5-lb increments, too fragile... I think these are the clear winner for only like $100 more for the 85 pounders. I don't need the 105s or 125s.... at least not in the near future, so I'm glad they can be upgraded as needed.
Literally (witerally) just bought a set of Nuobells. Lol. Oh well, I still love them. If they ever end up in the graveyard, I'll get some REPPINS. Kinda glad I don't have to wait for the pre-order anyway.
I'll stick to traditional adjustable dumbbells along with my fixed hex dumbbells and use the money I save by not buying the latest adjustable dumbbell to buy other home gym equipment even though I already own four different home gyms (garage gym, basement gym, extension room gym, and a backyard patio gym).
Maaaan I wanted these so bad when I built all my gym. But even though I had the money, I couldn’t justify over 2k when I had powerblocks that go to 90. Thanks rep for getting more money out of me 😂. They better have a sick stand for these

I had been saving up for the Pepin's since Coop's review. Tax refund hit and I was so ready to buy them, but I got busy on the weekend. Then I saw Rep tease a new dumbbell and thought "interesting, but no way it goes as heavy as Pepins"--thinking they'd release a new version of their Rep Quick Draws. Holy smokes am I glad I waited when I saw the Collab. I saved $800! But David Pepin is such a good dude, he sent an email about contacting him to change your order to the Collab version, so I think I would have been okay.
Sold my 1090s last month. Went 12 years strong (replaced two cradles). I was lucky to get that long out of them. Got my moneys worth. But these, they’re just on a whole other level. It’s like comparing a Toyota Corolla to the Porsche Carrera
It would be really cool to see them reengineer the sliding pop pins so that there's only one slider now to adjust the weight instead of having to slide the pin on both sides. Nit picky, yes, but to me that's what reengineering the originals should look like.
Coop, what do you make of this FAQ: "How quickly can you adjust the WEIGHT? - You can change weight very quickly -- even without the cradle, if you want to do drop sets. Just set the dumbbell down, press and slide the magnetic pop-pins, and then press them back into place." - IF this means not only being able to DROP weight, but then to INCREASE back to one's starting point without having to go navigate back to wherever one happens to place/store their cradles... this would be awesome (IMO) -OR- do the plates fall-over and therefore it is only DROP weight capable? -OR- do they maybe fall-over but then are very easily/quickly snapped back on WITHOUT having to return to the cradle to do so. This would still be awesome! What's your take?
I literally broke down and bought nuo bells 2 weeks ago after waiting more than a year because i wasn't fully satisfied with the options on the market. These come out right after that and are exactly what i would have wanted. 😢 I do like the nuo bells but would prefer something more durable so I don't need to worry as much about dropping them.
I ordered them within the first 30 minutes they were on the site. The Reppin has an extra plate on each end compared to the Pepin to make up for the lighter handle by 10 pounds.
I'm excited, but also may not want to buy this first iteration. But then I talk myself out of that by saying the first iteration will be great be the Pepin's have been around for a while and worked out all the kinks...looks like I'm going to have some explaining to do to the misses. Wish me luck!
Crap, if you want the preorder better get on it. I waited until today and the delivery was already pushed out the September 🤯 I hope Rep is on top of the delivery channels to meet demand.
They look nice...since I've been debating what set of adjustable dumbells I want to get for a while, I'll continue to wait until Coop has a set and does a full review/comparison with Nuobell and Trulap since those are currently my top contenders. The higher top-end weight is already a plus, and at half the price of Peppin these may be a real winner.

Coop, any way you can get an affiliate discount code or something? I want to pre-order for my husband as a surprise but shipping to Canada is $246!
I’ll be drooling, watching with my face pressed up to the screen as Rep does not ship to my location. Come on Rep, I’m sure you can figure out a way…
Bought my Pepins in December. These seem really similar and much less expensive as noted in the video. Kinda wish I had waited, but who knew. Anyway, love the Pepin's. Work well and look awesome!
I prefer Nuobell with the “no cage” look. But these are cool
I absolutely love this! I would NEVER spend over 2K on adjustable dumbells, but I will most definitely buy these
Saw this hit their site yesterday. I really want these, but It's a big price and I already have 90lb powerblocks.
Same here, bought mine 18 months ago. A bit salty but it is what it is
@@JBS7551 I feel you. Mine were just delivered two weeks ago. I haven't even received my add-ons yet. 🤷♂️
I think their product may compete a little too much but I'd love to see some bulletproof collaborations. The isolator is so cool
This is definitely on the top of the list for the gym this year!
Coop! Thought of you as soon as I saw these announced. Too bad you helped convert me over to powerblocks long ago. These for sure is what I would go with if I didn’t already have adjustables.
Thanks for the content, can’t wait to see the hands on review!
Enjoy the Powerblocks. Used them for years and loved them! - Coop
@@GarageGymReviews I do! Love the retro look and feel. Maybe when I get to Coop strength I’ll consider splurging on an upgrade 😉
You gotta love the way Coop pronounces “dinero” 😂
I was eyeballing the Pepin for a while. Just pre ordered these. So glad I waited.
Yes brother. 🎉
COOP!, Given the amount of space I have in my workout space, definitely want to be "REP'n the PÉPIN". And the shirt merch that should follow. I'll take my royalties in REP loyalty points.
Jujifumu, coop you need to get in and review his gym, it is between him, the rocks iron paradise, and that one home gym that you reviewed that was in the basement on a video you watch for the best home gyms, those 3 you need to review in person, please
@@benbarnett1076 The REP website mentions a rack as "coming" soon. Let's give them a chance to design and engineer a rack that fits our needs.
Rep Fitness is developing a stand that will work with their quickdraw or pepin adjustable dumbbells. It is on the FAQ for the Reppin.
Exciting time for home gym. Glad they were able to get the price point down
Been wanting to upgrade my Bowflex 552s for like a year now.
Kinda glad I don't have to wait for the pre-order anyway.
same, got mine this week. though these are prob better, 5 months along time to wait without weights at home . I'm not regretful
My order is in 💪
Holy shit 1,300 bucks. I should have waited for these but oh well, I still love my Ironmaster 120s lol
Just pulled the trigger on the 125 lb Baaaaaddd Booooyys can’t wait to get them in 🙌🏽
Maaaan I wanted these so bad when I built all my gym. But even though I had the money, I couldn’t justify over 2k when I had powerblocks that go to 90. Thanks rep for getting more money out of me 😂. They better have a sick stand for these
Great video! Lots of detail as usual from Coop. I do like the Nickel OG look, I wonder if Rep would offer a premium Rep X Pepin with the Nickel but at a lighter start weight
I bough the power blocks last summer and a folding bench ( pB) while doing armed security all summer 7 days a week to get myself out of a finnancial hole adjustable dumbells kept me active and fit while sweating my ass off in az
Here's hoping they come to Australia, been wanting to replace my powerblocks with these since I saw your original fast series video.
Wish I didn’t have the Nuobells or I’d get these!
Man if I didn't already have PowerBlock pros with stainless knurling these would be the ones to get.
I may need these someday. For now, my power blocks will do the trick.
I have the pepin fast series up to 120 ones they are the GOAT
Saving this for the day my bowflex 1090s just GIVE ME A REASON TO UPGRADE! Sadly they're still going strong.
Sold my 1090s last month. Went 12 years strong (replaced two cradles). I was lucky to get that long out of them. Got my moneys worth. But these, they’re just on a whole other level. It’s like comparing a Toyota Corolla to the Porsche Carrera
Can't wait for your Ares 2.0 review!!!
I was going to get the Nuobell; but now this changes things. When can we expect a review?
Was ready to pull the trigger and get the rep quick draw, now I have to rethink and decide if I should wait until August.
You can change weight very quickly -- even without the cradle, if you want to do drop sets. Just set
the dumbbell down, press and slide the magnetic pop-pins, and then press them back into place." - IF this means not only being able to DROP weight, but then to INCREASE back to one's starting point without having to go navigate back to wherever one happens to place/store their cradles... this would be awesome (IMO) -OR- do the plates fall-over and therefore it is only DROP weight capable? -OR- do they maybe fall-over but then are very easily/quickly snapped back on WITHOUT having to return to the cradle to do so. This would still be awesome! What's your take?
The idea that shipping from Canada is much more expensive than shipping from overseas is mind boggling to me
Nice, thanks Coop!
September delivery time frame for pre-order.
Shipping date has already changed from August 20 to September 3 just 12 hours after posting.
Yeah personally that’s a turn off for me, I’d rather rather DB be as compact as possible. Plus these aren’t made in Canada
I'm excited, but also may not want to buy this first iteration. But then I talk myself out of that by saying the first iteration will be great be the Pepin's have been around for a while and worked out all the kinks...looks like I'm going to have some explaining to do to the misses. Wish me luck!
Super bummed!! I don’t own any dumbbells and my home gym will be here next week. I don’t really want to wait 4 months for these.
I was really debating the REP Quickdraw Dumbbells before these came in my email. Probably gonna wait a bit longer now
Crap, if you want the preorder better get on it. I waited until today and the delivery was already pushed out the September 🤯 I hope Rep is on top of the delivery channels to meet demand.
Holy shi the price range is very competitive for the quality and durability .. my powerblocks are shaking rn 😂
Nuobells have that twisty mechanism that breaks when dropped. Lots of photos of those broken after a year or two. Go with a longer warranty.
I have both nuobell cheap handles
