    Just discovered this and absolutely loved it something to try rather than free motion sewing which I’m not so good at I am a Janome fan and needed the inspiration I have liked and subscribed, many thanks.

    You're such an inspiration! I didn't know about your jump stitch removal process and have shied away from using stitches with jumps in the past so thank you very much for that and for sharing your methods!

      You're welcome! It makes such difference, especially with things like lettering! Xx

    Oh, thank you so much for the French Knot hint for the jump stitches. I use the lettering for my quilt labels, but work so much harder to remove the jump stitches. I'll try your trick on on of my test labels.

    Watching you set up thed stitch with the other machine made me realize how glad I am to have the S9 where I can see what I am doing. I have seen scenes like what you are doing before, but never quite figured out how it was done so thanky you very much! Is the back of your piece stabilized?

      You're welcome! It's such fun to do on the big machines where you have such a great selection of stitches. ..and yes I always use a stabilizer usually an iron on stitch"n'tear. Xx

    Hi Julia , which stitch did you use for the pebbles? I have the atelier 6 ! Xx

    • @janomestitchclubuk
      @janomestitchclubuk  3 месяца назад

      Hiya I have a people stitch on my Atelier 9 but on the 6 if you look in your Heirloom section (stitch 66) there is a similar one . Use your memories to save a pattern by doing about 5 sets of stitches and change the width and length on each to make it look more random. Hope that makes sense! xx

    I can only increase stitch length to 2.5, perhaps a should buy another machine? Got my eye on the 9450qcp. Any thoughts.

      Well I don't want to be Ccused of leading you astray but the 9450 is a fabulous machine! Give one a test run...the pivot feature is one of my favourite things! Xx

    Can you sew a serpentine stitch on the 6500 and the 7700, mine is far to small for what I want to do, or is the a different machine that will do this stitch?

    • @janomestitchclubuk
      @janomestitchclubuk  8 месяцев назад

      Hi There Maybe try the curvy elasticated one (#25 on the 6500 I think) you may be able to take the stitch length up to about 4 and also adjust the width to suit. The newer machines have the serpentine, it's a favourite with quilters for sashings etc. Xx

    I’m playing catch up this month, can you tell me what the pebble stitch is please?

    • @janomestitchclubuk
      @janomestitchclubuk  Год назад

      It's one of the 'long' stitches on the Atelier 7. If you don't have it, have a look for a noodley/swirly type of stitch instead maybe. X

      Yes! I usually back them with felt or similar to stiffen them up a bit and then edge stitch around xx

      I think there may be a picture of the lift up lid bit which is quite small but you might be able to scan it into your computer and enlarge? I've done that with a couple of the other models. Xx

    I have looked for thread and purchased variegated brothead is this similar to what you are using. What is a bobbin fill sorry if this is a daft question but I have not done this kind of sewing before I have always done garments. Now I’m going down a very large rabbit hole 😊

    • @janomestitchclubuk
      @janomestitchclubuk  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi 👋 bobbin fill is a slightly finer thread that means you can get more on the bobbin. It is used on the embroidery machines and works really well with these decorative stitches. Xx
