Why would this segment spend so much time talking about individuals using plastic alternatives and no time at all talking about corporations being regulated to limit THEIR plastic use in products and packaging. Why is the onus on the individual to find an alternative and not on the corporations to stop flooding the markets with plastic.
Because if they do....we might get the bright idea....of holding these corporations accountable....hope we smarted up quicker...🌝🌝

Useless hand wringing aside, our fundamental environmental problem is our dependence on fossil fuel extraction, refining, and burning, whether for plastic production or heat generating in electrical production or transportation or heating. We burn 8 billion tons of coal per year, and 100 million barrels of oil per day, 13.3 just in the US every day. The heat overproduction can be seen in the 1.2 trillion tons of global melting ice annually, 3.3 billion tons per day; the 321 million cubic miles of heating oceans reaching 70 degF; and the 1 trillion tons of evaporating water vapor daily.
