That steel plate you welded at the bottom of the oil pan I would call a reinforcement not a real skid-plate. I believe there is a transmission / transfer case proper skid-plate still to go on, which you may show later on in the videos.
Looks damn nice. I have a 1954 CJ3B and my question is on the front side panel with the step being part of the panel. On my project I do not have the steps, I thought they were an additional bolt on assembly. Is it possible I have a tub other then a CJ3B? Please comment, thank you.
The side step is standard on all civilian Flat fender Jeeps. Some times they rust badly and I’ve seen bolt on replacements. Sorry I don’t ha e a better answer
I'm so glad it wasn't a twisted frame that was causing the body problems. Was that a couple of castle nuts I saw holding the end caps??? Take care, be safe
@@fastdadgarage-northsouthch4418 After I made mt comment I went back to look at them again. Almost a castle nut but not quite. I hope you're going to remove those Marsden lock nuts and replace them with what should be there. I don't trust those things!! Thanks for your response, it's really appreciated!
On your way to total success….

Yes there is a skid plate located by the transmission/transfer case.
I’m glad you figured out that fender alignment issue. Looks good! Tony
This is a full on restoration! Wonderful :-)
VOD800 I call it a mild restoration because It’s not perfect.
Good, very good!!!
Nice green my CJ3B project was much darker, not sure what color I will choose yet . But that one looks great.
Packed Video! Good stuff :-)

michael wier they are similar to a castle nut (good eye) but no space for a pin. If anyone knows the actual type or name please post.
michael wier okay I did some research- they are Marsden lock nuts.
