4:57 - CORRECTION: There is a microSD card slot on all S10 models EXCEPT the S10 5G, I got mixed up :)
Premium hardware - no other way to describe the 2019 Galaxy S10. 4 years later, it might not be top of the line, for under $200 you'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer looking device.

One major thing that ended with this line is making the smaller phone have all the same things as the larger one. The s10 (which I have) has a 1440p screen where now that only comes on the plus/ultra model. Also this was the last series to use expandable memory and headphone jack. If not for the camera, I would not have upgraded (s23 ultra in the mail as we speak).

I have a S10 and it is the best phone I have ever had. I moved from iphone 8 to S10. With 512GB memory card, I keep all my photos, videos, movies, and a huge database of music, without worrying about running of storage. Earlier this year I bought a S23FE, and it was a big mistake - S23FE is too heavy, too thick, too slow (too many bloatware), not even storage, basically not a practical phone. I continue to use S10 as my main phone, especially when I travel on business.

my wife has one she still uses, she actually went to the Pixel 4a because the s10 camera glass cracked. she loved the 4a as well, but when it died in the bath, I found it was actually really easy to repair, so I did! It is honestly a better daily phone than my Pixel 6 in every way (other than refresh rate - but I get so many accidental touches on the pixel it drives me nuts) the size is ideal, it has a headphone jack, the newest camera updates give good photo's and it feels modern, fast, and premium. If they made a new phone that was the same body as the s10 with a 120hz screen and new processor I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

Although, I am planning to upgrade to a newer Samsung flagship or any other android flagship, but the S10 will always have a place in my heart.

No way you're actually touching up on this phone Josh!!!!
I had the Samsung s10e and I got it around April 19th 2021 and then I had it until about almost a month ago. Over the two years of me having it I decided to throw it all the time and punch it and eventually the screen got black blobs on it. Then the battery was very bad and then it got very slow when I try to do anything on it. It was a good phone overall but I miss it and I'm going to get it fixed one day
BTW I love the videos and keep up the good work

So I just purchased the s23 ultra coming from the s10. I went to camera mode and tried to switch my aperture... I could not. Anybody into photography knows how huge of an option that was. That is a pro feature on cellphones. The s10 had that on the main camera. 1.5 or 2.4 aperture, this was huge for me back then and wish my new phone had that.

The only thing i might exchange is the battery. But the phone itself could easily still last a couple of year's

Had this phone for nearly 5 years since it was released in 2019. The battery isn't amazing now but lasts me through the day depending on usage. Power saver with a blacked out home screen definitely helps. You can take some pretty decent pictures and the wide angle lens is a nice touch. Night photography is awful regardless of settings. I actually took the original screen protector off a few months back (yes it lasted that long) and someone asked me if it was a new phone. With a new case it looks pretty much brand new. Best phone I've ever had, real workhorse. Disappointed the headphone jack has been removed on newer models.

I had the s10+ and it was a really good phone. Had to upgrade to the s23u when it lauched earlier this year, because the battery life was awful after 3 years of heavy usage (yes, I bought it a year after release). I had to charge it like 3 times a day. 😅
It was also getting really slow and buggy. The software was best at android then 10. After that, it just got more and more bugs every update.
The camera was great! I still use it as a secondary camera for some of my yt videos. The main problem with the camera for me was that it didnt always use the 2x lens for 2x photos. That caused some 2x photos to be very bad, because they were just cropped from the main camera. Luckily on newer samsung phones you can use the camera assistant app to cancel automatic lens switching.

"What you have is what you get." "We aren't talking about customs roms" (because that would make the previous statement untrue).
Custom roms should always factor in when you are buying an older flagship and to exclude them is disingenuous.

I use an s10+ exynos version and rarely ever fails. There is one problem however, which I'm pretty sure is due to damage over time. Every now and then, thee screen just doesn't want to turn on. It turns on for a split second, then turns off. This is normally fixed by either waiting for it to fix itself, or restart the thing the phone entirely. However, with the software, it is still fully usable for me. It isn't too outdated, (especially compared to my iPhone 6) and can still do most tasks easily in 2024. Overall, it is a perfect budget phone for simple, every day use.

The galaxy s3 (advanced style), s4 (flagship with amazing reparability), s5 (incredible feature set), s7 (beautiful construction), and s10 (packed with features and powerful soc) were all amazing products.
