    I've had the SC S1s on my 950SP for one year. I decided to go with them because they are available with grid caps, and the caps definitely make them appear a more finished, well-thought out product. I'm not a fan of Ti metal, but their design melds better with the lines of the bike and less than an afterthought setup. I rarely ride without earplugs, but due to a mild right ear issue a few weeks ago, I was forced to ride without them. At higher speeds the S1 are VERY loud. Part of my ride requires a roundtrip thru a 1.7km tunnel and the sound is absolutely symphonic! The ride takes me up into a redwood forest, and as I downshift to 2nd the boom attracts attention and this location has been a bike hangout for well over 50 years. The additional weight is a nonstarter, because it's the unsprung weight that matters. Start the ride with light-weight pipes and stop to have a proper lunch, and there go the touted weight savings. To anyone who is going to get the Ti pipes. either install them whilst wearing gloves, or wipe them clean with WD-40 BEFORE firing up; that way your fingerprints won't be burnt on to the pipes.

    If you're only tracking it, whatever makes the best HP (you'd need a Dyno pull and tune I guess - not cheap). For the road, the least obnoxious (I'm old and don't like attracting attention).

    S1’s get my vote. Would likely want a cat delete and tune to get the most out of it though. Reasonably priced here in Australia too!
    I’m eyeing off a 950 - the seat height of the SP worries me a bit as I’m a shortarse. I’ve been riding my fathers Desert X and the SP is slightly taller again. That said, the Hyper is slimmer/lighter.
    In some ways I feel the normal 950 would be a better road/street bike compared to the SP - can you comment? Does the SP feel rough/harsh on road?

    • @hypermotardking
      @hypermotardking  Год назад +1

      SP is dampened stiff/hard for road with the stock 100nm rear spring - I swapped mine out for a 90nm öhlins rear spring and its much better (im 73kg).

      This video/setup was just the end cans only. The CAT was still in place with exhaust valve and no remap.
      In my current videos with my full system, I’ve removed the CAT, removed the valve and disabled with Healtech plug and had a custom ECU tune done with Dyno data from BHPUK - check them out 👍🏻

      @@hypermotardking Great. Definitely gonna check them out! I am looking upon to upgrade my bike aswell, do you have any legislative issues with the mods listed above (noise, pollution limits) ??

      @@datacolslovenija4251 For normal road riding here in UK its normally ok - the police are usually relaxed. For track days the noise limits are 102db.

    I don't recall seeing a video; is your bike tuned? Mine has the SC1-M, tuned, and I have issues keeping it from stalling when pulling in the clutch.

      Not tuned.. have you tried cleaning your intake/throttle? Theres plenty out there on stalling and the fueling/intake needing a clean to sort it?

      I have a 2020 950sp and installed the sc1-m with baffles removed, a k&n air filter and a removed the servo exhaust valve and installed a dummy plug all in the same week. Now I have that same problem with the bike stalling at low speeds when I pull the clutch in to downshift or at red stop light intersections. The bike sounds fantastic and I ride with ear plugs and it’s still loud. By upgrading the parts I definitely caused a problem with the bike stalling since it never had this issue stock. There’s other people with similar issues on Ducati forums who have said cleaning out the throttle bodies have fixed the issue. I’m taking my bike to the dealership to have it checked out this week since it’s still barely within warranty.

      @@joshuacamacho851 Yeah, I just started running octane booster and injector cleaner to see if it helps. It's mainly a fun/track bike so it isn't usually a problem but still annoying.

      @@joshuacamacho851 It could also be its runniing too lean and simple not enough fuel in the lower rev range.
      Mines stalled a few times.. did it on my latest video in the middle of a busy road when pulling out 😩

      @@hypermotardking right that’s the first thing I was thinking so I bought a power commander 5 about 2 weeks ago, so I’m gonna see if the dealership can run diagnostics on the ecu and maybe update anything. Also see if they can clean the throttle bodies. Then after that I’ll take it to a dyno shop and have them remap the bike for better fuel mixture at idle. Hopefully the combination of those should fix the problem. 🤞🏼
