      @@GeeMilner Thanks for the reply. I've been a Hope fan since the 90s (XC4s) and had to laugh when someone commented on a recent build with "blocky" brakes. A retro build with some Pace RC36 Stealth forks would be killer!
      Keep up the good work man. You channel makes a huge difference when the world outside is anything but relaxing. 🤘

  • @rolandfischer1192
    @rolandfischer1192 3 месяца назад +2

    Is there any trick to route the housing for the dropper cable through the frame? I own exactly the same bike and built it up myself, but did not manage to get the line for the dropper through the "corner" near the BB. With a rs reverb hydraulic housing, it worked instantly as it is softer and can manage the bend at the corner. Did you use any special cable housing in the video?

    • @CM9999999999
      @CM9999999999 3 месяца назад +1

      I found a lot of swearing helped and using electrical tape wrapped round the end and then into a cone with some grease on it to help it all slide round that bend.

    • @GeeMilner
      @GeeMilner  3 месяца назад

      In fairness we didn't have the same issues we have with other frames, maybe we got lucky?
      Swearing usually does help though...!

    Me encanta verte trabajar y construir bicis de ensueño, ¿quien te proporciona los cuadros para hacer las bicis? Yo tengo dos bicis excelentes, una e Bike Devron Riddle, con rueda de 27,5 y una Orbea Alma M 50, son dos bicis geniales, que uso indistintamente, para ir a mi trabajo, y para salir de ruta, la Devron la uso más para ir al trabajo, aunque los viernes, me gusta llevarme la Alma, la verdad, es que me encanta moverme en esta bici, aunque no es una bici urbana, la Alma M 50, se desenvuelve muy bien entre el tráfico de la ciudad, a pesar de su gran tamaño y de sus enormes ruedas de 29 pulgadas, la bici resulta realmente cómoda de conducir y de maniobrar, me gusta mucho el ángulo de dirección que tiene pues es de 68 grados, lo que te da mucha estabilidad cuando realizas bajadas con cierta complejidad, con la Alma, llevo dos años, y estoy muy feliz con esta bici, a la Devron, en un año y ocho meses que llevo con ella le he echo 5.630 kilómetros, ¿que te parece? Ahora estoy un poco triste, porque en el flanco del neumático trasero de la Devron, me ha salido un chichón así que tendré que cambiar el neumático, en fin cosas que nos pasan a los ciclistas, me gusta mucho verte trabajar, porque lo haces con mucha tranquilidad, ver tus vídeos, me relaja, y me ayuda a liberar,e del estrés, cuando te veo ensamblar una bici, me relajo, y entro en una gran paz mental, tu tranquilidad y tu sosiego a la hora de trabajar, me produce una paz mental enorme, es más para ser sincero, te diré que disfruto viéndote trabajar, creo que a este caótico mundo, le vendría muy bien más gente como tú, de verdad te los digo tal y como me sale del alma, en fin amigo saludos desde España, un abrazo y nos vemos en la próxima construcción, no dejes de ensamblar bicis, que me encanta como lo haces.

      Just got back from Whistler bike park where the rental staff asked if I rode “front brake on the left?” My brain stopped for a few seconds, as I was trying to figure out why they’d ask that, before I realized they run em differently depending on where in the world you are. 🤯
