It is very interesting why Romania and Moldova did not reunite after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Not really, he would be the longest ruling monarch of a sovereign state. But certain semi-independent countries or protectorates had monarchs ruling longer. However, if he remained king in 1930, his reign reign would be 90 years long. And I think that's the world record
I really like the idea, but funny and oddly enough I think politically that this scenario would have clearly reverse the political and social mentality of Romania among historical regions compared to nowadays. This would have made the North of Romania (the Socialist Republic) be more aligned and nostalgic about the socialist past, therefore they would be dominated by the former communists and esthablished oligarchs (a.k.a PSD - the so-called social-democrats or the "corrupt red plague") which would have their voter base in Transylvania, something abominal today (nothing changed for Moldova and Maramureş though) and make the north-west and north-east more poorer in development compared to the rest of the country. The Kingdom of Romania (the south, historical Wallachia and the Banate) would be inclined to more pro-european, either liberal or conservative (something like Merkel's CDU, but similarly corrupt as today's PNL - the liberal conservatives, leading in gov't now) or even more cosmopolitan liberal and progressive views (something like USR - Save Romania Union and PLUS party) in big cities like Bucharest, Constanța, Braşov and Timișoara, which would make more developed and well educated than the northern counterpart, meaning more development in the actual poor regions of southern Romania and no major changes for the Banat region in south-western Romania and very southern of Transylvania, particularly Braşov, Sibiu and Deva (probably that the left-wing and liberal progressives would be more active there and in the capital city, and liberal conservatives taking the place of the actual social-democrats in the rural and small urban areas). The northern part would also be devastated by political and social unrest due to the Szeklers opressed by the communist authorities and would either seek refuge in the south (like Gheorghe Doja/Dozsa did against the Habsburgs) or in nearby Hungary or Czechoslovakia, also a lot of problems facing the Ukrainian, Ruthenian, Russian, Gagauzian and other Hungarian minorities, which would make for the Russians in Basarabia to call for separatism against "Romanian domination and subjugation" (like in the Baltics and Ukraine) and call for Putin's protectionism and more threathing and agressive attacks towards Bucharest (after the Unification of 1989), so would be a kinda civil war there, as in the Kingdom of South Romania it would be peace and harmony among the national minorities protected by Constitution and the progressive policies there, similar to France or Germany. That's my Alt-His proposal for the video, I you like it or not ;D

I wish this was reality, communism one way or another had to happen in romania but the way it still managed to unite and be as it was during the interwar period is amazing
Did you consider the san-stefano treaty a possibility ? I mean that is the most controversial treaty of 19th century and you cant have alternate history without considering the treaty to be kept and accomplished which would result in unified Bulgaria and most likely no balkan wars unless a balkan league is formed to expel the ottoman empire out of europe or resist the western influence over the peninsula As for territorial things go i see few possibilities of which the most probable one is of the balkan league formed , romanian border sits on the south along the Danube river all the way , the north up to besarabia which and west normal with hungary , with later conflicts of two possibilities a defensive war (balkan league vs USSR) over besarabia or offensive wars on the west against hungary/austria
Maybe ... in the USSR, Stalin died earlier, for example, at the beginning of 1944, and a more liberal socialist came to power? Because basically only Stalin and Stalinists wanted the return of the imperial lands. In the USSR, even in spite of the purges, there were many socialist factions, and they had different views on how to govern the country and other countries.

My homeland would border with this great Romania :) Russian-Ukrainian border looks nice too And if Soviet offensive stopped in Moldova... Bulgaria, Albania and Yugoslavia also avoided communism, right? Yeah... according to this map, most of Bulgaria and part of Serbia was occupied by the Romanian royal troops
The only part that changed is that they got divided, and it remained a kingdom. If thats all you wanted to change, you didint have to add history from the 1800s and early 1900s unchanged.

I am from romania
I wish this was reality, communism one way or another had to happen in romania but the way it still managed to unite and be as it was during the interwar period is amazing
Thank you ! there is not a lot of uchronia on Romania, even if I don't follow Romanian I like it
Good 👌
Of the history of romania was like this then king micheal would be the longest reigning monarch at 90 years 1927-2017
Hello im romanian! Gret video! 🤩

Dreams. It's good to be truth. May be the way it should be.
the map is beatiful
Beautyfull👏😁
Why did they change the flag? Looked way cooler horizontally
A kingdom ok, but where is the Royal Anthem?
It's the Romanian anthem in this scenario, but I just didn't put it in this video.
Salutări de la Ferma Gradina Bio!
I fucking love Romanian marches and their Choir

What is this song on 1:29?
The name is in the description of this video.
Man i was born in 2011 and romania was still kindom of romania
Longest reign if Michael was on the throne. (more than Louis XIV)
Did you consider the san-stefano treaty a possibility ?
I mean that is the most controversial treaty of 19th century and you cant have alternate history without considering the treaty to be kept and accomplished which would result in unified Bulgaria and most likely no balkan wars unless a balkan league is formed to expel the ottoman empire out of europe or resist the western influence over the peninsula
As for territorial things go i see few possibilities of which the most probable one is of the balkan league formed , romanian border sits on the south along the Danube river all the way , the north up to besarabia which and west normal with hungary , with later conflicts of two possibilities a defensive war (balkan league vs USSR) over besarabia or offensive wars on the west against hungary/austria
Nice video, but why did the Soviet Union leave Bessarabia to communist Romania? 8:58
I wanted to make Romania within the boundaries close to the interwar border.
Maybe ... in the USSR, Stalin died earlier, for example, at the beginning of 1944, and a more liberal socialist came to power?
Because basically only Stalin and Stalinists wanted the return of the imperial lands. In the USSR, even in spite of the purges, there were many socialist factions, and they had different views on how to govern the country and other countries.
I wish it was true:(
I don't

New video 1918-2020 Romania history,1 december 1918 the Great Union(Marea Unire de la Alba Iulia)
That wasn't a real Union
Why does it start in 1848 and not in the Middle Ages?
Because that would be too much work and the video would come out much later.

În 2014 era rege Michael?
Who is Michael ?
His name was Mihai
"Mihai I" is in Romanian and "Michael I" is in English.
during 1916-1918, the capital of Romania was Iași!
Ok. This is in line with the occupation of Bucharest by the Central Powers.

Wow, that's a really good story. Good ending!
Romanian monarchy survived and they kept Bessarabia with Northern Bukovina. Am I the only one to realise that in this story Mihai I was the longest ruling European monarch of all time? 78 years... that's long!
Poland kept Galicia... another great news! My homeland would border with this great Romania :)
Russian-Ukrainian border looks nice too
And if Soviet offensive stopped in Moldova...

You know, but actually now you have the whole history of Romania in the single video. Changed a little
