So thorough and comprehensive, so gentle. One can clearly feel your joy to be in nature.

I enjoyed your video. Very comprehensive.
If I may, as flint and steel is my passion. You are holding and traditionally striking your steel, this is instinctive and seems best but is not the optimal way, I suggest swapping over to the Nordic or pinch grip, grasp the striker between your thumb and forefingers in a pinch grip, this gives a lot of control and almost eliminates any chance of grazing your knuckles. I found my whole world opened up when I adopted the Nordic style of striking and flint and steel became instinctual and easy.

There are smaller strikers I have where a pinching grip is better - though for the large O-striker I use here, I prefer gripping this way. Both are good - my preference changes depending on the shape of the striker.

@SageOfTheSword I use the pinch grip for all striker styles, it just feels natural to me now, but you go with what works for you mate

This is one of the more realistic videos on RUclips because we don’t always get a one strike ignition sometimes we have to work at it for one reason or another so great job keep up the good work!
