I love this drill even if it is brushed.

No, the smaller white is the Makita "compact version" that takes brushes.
If you're going to be working it then go for the larger teal blue LXT version and not the lower powered CXT version
30Nm Torque. as to LXT 62Nm Torque.
check out toolstation for some great deals.
      Hope this helps

@@Fixing_Everything. I know the CXT and LXT do differ. I just like the brushed one also because it has lasted forever. A lot of people have mixed feelings about it. My main drill is a XPH07 it has been used and abused and begs for more.

This White version is not a limited addition drill, Infact it is the "compact version"
This is NOT brushless but has brushes in the motor that need to be changed regularly.
This White Compact version is smaller than the teal blue brushless versions.
It is also lighter than the teal version and it has a shorter life span than the brushless blue versions.
Yes it has in the LXT version torque (Hard Joint) 62 Nm. unlike the smaller version the CTX to what has 10mm Chuck, 30Nm Torque.
This is a weaker version and smaller and lighter version of the heaver teal version.
But, having said this that this white compact version is not to be underestimated it's smaller lightweight and compact is great for getting in the tight spaces and is a must for the ladies with smaller hands and not too heavy.
    Before getting a Makita.
You need to first check if it is a compact smaller white version CTX 30Nm Torque. or LXT. 62Nm Torque.
Or a teal blue LXT or a CTX lower powered

All 18v makita batteries are compatible (from 3ah+ The compacts will only work on lower duty tools)
