This is incredible Johnny. This was a great way to spend 20 minutes productively. You guys will not be disappointed playing along with this.
U explained a whole video and you played something totally different at the end which was what I came here to learn, just what you did at the end
Same helppp... like I get accompaniment, its knowing your chords rules and inversions... but that little improv there is what really makes it alive and IDFK how to learn that
Your videos are just the best piano tutorials I have ever watched ! Thank you !!!!
We love you Jonny mate. Have a lovely weekend.
Thank you Jonny. You're such an inspiration!! Have a great weekend.
I learn so many techniques from these simple steps. Great work done Jonny
Thanks great deal Jhony for these theory technics of a two-chord reharmonization six steps. So cool ,so simple and so sweet.
Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
Great lesson. I've often wondered when I cover two adjacent keys with a single thumb, if it's a bad habit...apparently not! 😉
This is the kind of sound I want to have since I started to learn piano (on January).
Thank you for the step by step guide!
That was the PERFECT tutorial, exactly what I was looking for, thank you! :)
I was "interresting but now i begin to be a fanatic( sorry bout my bad english) . Johnny is send by God!!Love like a human being!!!!

Outstanding lesson! Thank you!
I always struggle to accompany myself on piano and will go back to guitar - thanks for this! As you can tell with my 'Song for Bruce (Take 2)' 😅
Daqui do Brasil🇧🇷, Rio de Janeiro, acompanhando suas excelentes postagens. ❤️

Thank you Jonny!! Amazing 👏👏👏
Amazing lesson! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this great step by step lesson!
Excellent 👍👍👍
Today I learned that, if I close my eyes, and balance my body while playing like steve wonder does, then my accompaniment suddenly and magically starts to sound better.
So so good !
You're an amazing teacher
Very good.
A lot of THANKYOU
Its really easy way to learn.. thank u sir.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Awesome video

thank you for sharing your knowledge God bless. greetings from Okhy Channel from Indonesia 🙏🙏😀
Love your lessons
Using yellow is great
Can you go a step further and use a different colour for the right hand?
useful TY
Very interesting tutorial, thank you very much. I think after step 6 you demonstrated skills that you did not explain, so adding another step or two (at least) would help to achieve what you showed in the end.
Very good
Sir... Need step by step lesson for Piano left hand pattern... All types of Pattern
Yes
Nice video. I didn’t know I was playing upper position until I watched this video. The only thing I wanna work on now is playing more simple because sometimes I get carried away with too much improv haha
There is no such thing as too much improv ;)
thank you ^_^
HELLO from UKRAINE! ♥ Thank you Jonny.
CAN you create video about BEBOP ??????
Absolutely love your lessons, I'm terrible with counting the timing. What is the best way to count the timing of this chord progression?
I'd suggest playing it first without the slurs. Once you have that down add them.

Hola joni , hace un tiempo quise estudiar en su escuela online , pero no tiene traducción al español en subtítulos , ¿ a día de hoy esto se ha implementado?
Question: if there is also a guitar in involved, Can you still harmonise cords like this on the fly or must the guitarist know whats going on bedore you start the song?
Do one for classical pianists thanks
what app you use to show the virtual keyboard?
I am trying to apply this to some other pieces. Fe Stay be me Leadsheet. Some chord are over 2 full bars. How would you guys apply that to such songs? Try out until it fits you?
Listen to "Tequila" by Dan & Shay. It's the exact same sound ;)
Love your lessons - many thanks! But the spelling is Amateur, not Amature : )
WAY COOLER
Do you teach this on a one to one basis its a little fast for me?
👍
what just happened in the last part? 😮 it was beautiful but it was not part pf the lesson
You should check out Taylor Swift's "Bye Bye Baby", literally the same chords and similar inversions!
So I have a dumb question but I stumbled on your page and ….well can someone learn the guitar just by using the same chords named for piano? And how does one line up the right key…if this is so!
You make me see how beginner I am. I do the basic and even so full of mistakes and out of rhythm.....
in the progression of Bb F Gm F , instead of the bass going from Bb,A,G,A ( 3rd note of F )how about it going further down to the root, Bb,A,G,F ?
11:24
Clicked on link for downloading backing tracks and they at
Rent there
Step 6 seams to be a HUGE jump up from step 5
my coach always tells me to keep the base note in the bass, so if i want to invert F chrod, i shuold still make sure to play the F2 as the lowest note for example. who's right? xD
11:30. yo i still don't get this... can you like put the drums with it as well cuz they way you're counting by is confusing me
lol nv
11:21 I don't get this very well
Tem um monte de steeps que não foram ensinados, mas o molho mesmo ninguém ensina
Why does the edit and delete button on YT nevert f,,,,,,ing work
Great videos! I learn something from each one... Though I have to admit, I wince every time you say “go ahead”. Every minute you seem to say “go ahead”. The phrase is an incidious verbal tick that imparts no information. It is more commonly found in tech videos, but it’s just as annoying anywhere else...
so that's called a chromatic descending bassline. did not need 14 minutes for that. And in fact, keep the bassline going down instead of going back up - Bb, A, G, F.
*Everybody can learn to play the piano on this video RUclips, or with The Rainbow Piano Method.* 😀 🌈🎹🎼
i cant even play well what he call amateur.. lol.. 😂😂.. but im trying to get there
F is sus.
I get it because it sounds like sauce

It is not professional though :)
Actually a few chords and good posture while sitting at a piano for a piano learning can do the trick of having a more professional flare to it and do wonders in their technique. Great job trying though;)

Johnny, your videos are very interesting and informative, but I have one question, when you're playing, why do you look like you're constipated?
Somehow they all sound the same. Just muddy as it went along that would probably drown the vocalist.
“This instrument I’m playing is called a piano. If you don’t know what a piano is, you can go to our Piano Course. I’ll drop a link in the description below.” 😆😆
Trying to milk those courses for all they’re worth, yeah??
Amateur
I really love your videos but please stop selling your courses in the middle of the video. I have no money, especially when the courses cost like this.
from INTERMEDIATE **, chords extensions are complicated and you don't guide us how it works, and then you play rhythm with bad distracting counting. you made it harder so I have to skip. Sorry about that, thought giving you my feedback is better than being passive and dislike your video.
ruclips.net/video/F-uwG2zGvT8/видео.html
I think that is fair - to say that this goes from beginner (compared to the video you posted) is a little misleading. It's a lot of information, delivered very quickly, with certain aspects missing. Not super clear. However, at the same time, for me (who is a beginner with an intermediate ear, I guess) this is pretty much what I want. No filler, just go through and elaborate on the previous stage once it is solid. But I do think your feedback is fair.
I kind of suspect there is an element of marketing going on. Present enough to show what is possible, but hold back enough so that viewers want to check more videos or buy a course. And I don't blame the guy for wanting to make some money :)
Jonny, this was a very nice and I love your enthusiasm but I had to dislike. You never explain any of the intuition why for instance sus2 chords sound nice, and why that works, same with he g minor 11 chord extension. It all sounds great but a beginner or even a novice would not understand why, which is the entire point, to be able to do comping yourself. Which is a shame, because your explanation earlier about chord substitution is quite functional, and I can hear that you easily know why all of this works theoretically. As such it is a respectful constructive dislike from me, I hope you add more background knowledge in the future, I will stay tuned :3
Jonny, this is my first time watching one of your videos. Why are you using a junk keyboard? They cannot replace the sound of an acoustic piano. (Used to sell Steinways and Yamahas.) You have this tremendous skill ruined by a cheesy keyboard.
Very good.
