Not just addicted but I'm talking our lives revolve around tech now and people are glued to their phones and screens. People don't like to do anything either. Nobody even goes outside anymore. People's attention spans are cooked too.
I am 65 years old. If the world seems strange to you, can you imagine what it feels like to me? I watched the original Twilight Zone when I was a kid, and I never imagined life would become even more frightening than fiction. Technology is the culprit. We lost touch with our humanity because science progressed far beyond our spiritual comprehension.

OR seeing my friends in real life in my 20s, and not having my wife or GF all over FB in my 30s!!! Seriously how do you even manage relationships these days with your person being all over this trash?? Remember having to meet someone on friday night? how did we manage it? It was kind of like the movie Dazed and Confused. Every friday night was an adventure. you broke laws, you drove around, sometimes nothing happened sometimes you have a blast. I turned 50 this year and I absolutely feel like I’m living in one of those twilight zone episodes 😂, everything is upside down, I grew up in the 80’s and looking back it seems like a whole different dimension from gatherings, family reunions, block parties and authentic close family connections fast forward to today, so much fake toxicity, people wanting to use you for what you have and not many authentic relationships overall whether platonic or romantic. I’ve been an introvert most of my life so I have been able to adapt with working from home, spending a lot of time in nature, journaling and being grateful I have a small circle whom I keep close. I have come to peace with whatever happens and know that I will be okay. My 20’s and 30’s were really difficult fighting a life threatening illness but I’m here for a reason grateful to witness this time period. I know nothing is constant except change, so I stay hopeful and optimistic for the future of my lineage❤
I was born in the early 80s and I agree with what you said because back then people were more connected and now we have social media and people are more disconnected than ever. We only have 24 hours in a day so I focus on who and what is most important. I still have social media but I limit time on there and do my best to actually call people and spend time in person with my family and friends like the good old days.
Family reunions with a pig roast 100 or more people showing up. Horse shoes, cards, basketball all going on. Fire pits Poppin, chasing your younger cousins around in water balloon fights on and on and it was AWESOME. I was at the grocery today. I haven't been to this particular one since the early 2010s. Back then it used to be packed. Now everytime I go there's hardly anyone there at all times of the day I've been there. And the few people in there seem like they want to attack me and each other. I just turned 39 and I completely agree with you. I have a super close family, and great group of friends. Since 2020 I barely see them now. I work 70 hours a week and only have energy to spend time with my young son. Last week I had a mental breakdown after I realized I can’t keep living like this. The AI thing is nuts. I saw an advertisement for an AI app that allows users to make Tik Tok videos of fake people. In 6 months I wouldn't trust any of the Tik Tok videos you see. These AI videos are realistic looking. I give it a year and you won't know who's a bot online.

Yep, That’s exactly what this feels like. It seems 2020 hit and everything changed. Other than work, I’m always alone these days. I use to be very social and my phone was always ringing. Now other than spam calls my phone never rings.
My ears are constantly ringing. Sometimes when I’m driving it feels like I’m not awake. Like I don’t know how I arrived to my destination. I just end up there. Food doesn’t even taste the same anymore.

I sat front row at the Red Sox last night , Fenway was almost sold out. No energy, no noise, no interaction...now mind you they are not going to the playoffs but its like nobody in the stadium cared. The problem was people felt uncomfortable to be themselves, i have a loud deep voice and im chirpy at a game, people looked at me like i was different like being yourself isnt the thing to be anymore.

I just turned 39 and I completely agree with you. I have a super close family, and great group of friends. Since 2020 I barely see them now. I work 70 hours a week and only have energy to spend time with my young son. Last week I had a mental breakdown after I realized I can’t keep living like this. Something just feels innately wrong in the world. The only solace I find is within the eyes of my family.

The AI thing is nuts. I saw an advertisement for an AI app that allows users to make Tik Tok videos of fake people. In 6 months I wouldn't trust any of the Tik Tok videos you see. These AI videos are realistic looking. I give it a year and you won't know who's a bot online.
there was some guy who said that in like a year or so most of the content you see online will be fake lol. Like the majority of content will be fake AI generated. Even worse than we've had, at least what we've had was human generated.
