A korean, acting as a chinese, disguising as a spanish teacher, and playing paintball as a student.
Robert Downey Jr would be proud
Versatile. We Asians approve

Well. It definitely CHANGed tv history.
It’s not even clever you keep using it for the word change!
@@monisingh356 guilty as chang
It's un-Dean-iable
I see what you Dean there.
Oh my god. Did they miss that one in the series?
That choice of music alone totally gets me.
Ken Jeong always brings me to a unique happy place.
From what I heard, the song is about an assassin who went out to kill a king but failed to
@BenKim16 there's a Chinese wuxia movie about that. I think it's called Hero.
the best part is that they wrote it specifically for this scene

In Spanish his name is, El Tigre Chino.

@@xXtuscanator22Xx this scene specifically helped land them their jobs at marvel
This is an ode to John Woo films from the 90s, like a slow song playing over a gunfight, 'somewhere over the rainbow ' played in that Faceoff gunfight
@@pihermoso11and now I want to re watch Hard Boiled and The Killer
this and his delivery of "HA, GAAYY!" have impacted our culture for the better
His Dark Elf costume changed Netflix forever.
Disagree with the latter. I think the last line in the series finale makes it retroactively ok but any time just "gay" is the punchline and nothing more it's not ok.

We deserved more of season 1 Chang
I agree. The whole changnesia thing was funny. But they could have arrived at the whole Chang takeover thing without it.
Well then they shouldn't have betrayed him at the end of the pop'n'lockathon. His body HURT.
@@WaldoBagelTopper
You messed up the order. Changnesia came after the Chang Takeover. Changnesia was how he dodged accountability.
Definitely, Teacher Chang and Evil Chang were the best versions. Wasn’t a huge fan of Student Chang and Changnesia
The most "normal" Chang.
I love that Chang even has Chow Yun-Fat's signature matchstick in the mouth.
Toothpick.
Hard Boiled best movie ever

A Better Tomorrow (86).
John Woo Chang is one of the best moments of season 1
And frankly, hasn't been well utilized since
More Scarface than John Woo.
I was really hoping Jeff was going to dive through the air doing pistols akimbo.
John Woo (facial expression, match in mouth and body language) crossed with Miami Vice (white suit with pink shirt). Just needs to roll the sleeves.
@@danielhaire6677And music. I'd even say the suit was very Chow Yun Fat

Feels like they belong together...
Chang was his peak in Season 1
They never quite got him right going forward after this
What did you want them to do with him? Many say he was good as a Spanish teacher, but it was established from the start that he wasn’t actually qualified to be one. I honestly wish he and Shirley did have a baby together. Never liked that she took Andre back after how he treated her.
@@FezCaliph no I meant like the role and comedy wise
not saying I hate him but I liked Season 1 Chang the best
and I agree Andre did not deserved to be forgiven like this especially cause he and Shirley ended up separating in S5 anyways and he even took the kids and the dog
although I will not lie when I say Shirley became more bitchy as the story progressed
@@anishsingh2848 she always was. She just wanted to act like a pure and holy Christian woman, but they often are hiding a dark side.
@@FezCaliph those aspects definitely become more highlighted the longer time she stays as a part of Greendale 7 and was at its height during Season 5 and 6
and to a lesser degree in 4
@@FezCaliphwhat are you talking about? Chang was a Spanish genius. En español his nickname is El Tigre Chino!
The paintball epsiodes were some of the best episodes ive ever seen.
And the DnD. Pivotal episodes that made the series timeless.
I was impressed that they did 5 paintball episodes over the seasons. Most sitcoms don't do callbacks at all.
Hallowe'en episodes were also great!

Ben Chang was my favorite character. People find Chang annoying in the later seasons but I honestly loved everything about him.
That "Beaaatch" was something very special😅😅😅
And right after ".. politics of gender" 😂
Beyotch*
Mr Chow stay standing on business 😂
Painted my kindergarten daughters motorized Nefr gun to be "El Tigre" because of this moment.
Love the pun on Chow Yun Fat 90s flicks 👏🤣👏
I can't count the reasons I should stay one by one they all just fade away
❤
The music, the entrance, the "toof toof toof toof" slo-mo shots, such an epic moment!
Channeling Inspector Tequila from "Hard Boiled" LMAO!
More like the Killer.
That silk shirt with no buttons is 🔥
The buttons hide under a flap.
Tricky to press, but a great look.
Most tailors offer it, when making a shirt. Goes well with french cuffs, & rounded corners on the lapel & cuffs, in my opinion.
A dense enough silk weave will hang flat; otherwise if high weight silk is not available, I'd suggest rolled silk.
I dont remember the music in this scene, but this is the best fit for the scene.
the actor had it commissioned specifically for this scene since the show didn't have any stock villain theme that worked without getting into copyrights with the music department.
Fun fact, that's because the lyrics are an old Chinese poem about a soldier who doesn't return home. So they put some dramatic sounding music behind it and had some lady come in and sing the poem as lyrics
Buenos Dias, children! 😎
Chang is a dark reflection of Jeff
Both were pretty bad people during their jobs (with Chang we spent a season with him as a Spanish teacher while with Jeff we only heard or saw glimpses of his lawyer days)
Loose it and become Greendale students
The difference being Jeff found the study group and together as Greendale 7 they grew as people and Jeff found something more valuable to care for than himself while Chang was rejected by them and thus becoming more antagonistic to the point of becoming a Dictator, faking amensia and conspiring with City College
And when he does get accepted by the group as a member of Save Greendale community in Season 5 we see him grow and change and become a better person just like Jeff
Chang is what Jeff would have been if he didnt found a new family at Greendale
TLDR
@@FezCaliph then why insult me like this
They're all liars in their own way
Might be the same for the whole study group. Pierce wanted to be heard, and valued. Shirley was just as manipulative. So was Annie. Abed had to have things go his way. Brita was a dictator in the meow meow beans, episode.
The only real exception was Troy. Whom was clearly the heart of the group. He was the one who always said something to comfort the rest of the group.

I can't believe they remember "A better tomorrow " reference...😂
Ken Jeong is BY FAR one of the top 5 most underrated actors/comedians in movie & TV history!! He pulls no punches, and will say &/or do anything for a comedy bit. And he's also played some semi-serious roles, and he's great in those as well. Plus, you must consider he didn't even start acting until he was roughly 30!! Why... because he was busy being a freaking doctor!! And not in a lessor field like a psychiatrist, a lab rat for biology or chemistry, or a PhD. (doctorate)... He's an actual licensed physician. Technically, he is Ken Jeong M.D.!!! So for those of you who didn't know, put some respect on Dr. Jeong's name!!
Oh, Britta's in this?
☠️
That was so funny, let's replicate his actions
Love this scene
Chang is my favorite lol love this guy
Ken Jeong as Chow Yun Fat. Is that white guy actor supposed to be dressed like McClain from Die Hard?
yup
A reference to John Wick 4 years before the franchise even exists, just Dan Harmon
John Wick is just an homage to John Woo Films tbh
Have you never seen a John Woo movie?
Sorry, no. Try Hong Kong John Woo police films of the ‘90s, starring Chow Yun Fat. Americans might know him from Bulletproof Monk.
The only episode of this series I made a point to watch, and it was so worth it.
What? It's not even in the top ten of the most unhinged ep in that show. One of them is entirely in stop motion ffs - you're missing out!

NGL Ben Chang really made the show special. I actually enjoyed watching him gradually go crazy into S3. I really should finish the series
Chang was the absolute cherry on top of this show. ALL of the characters are great and memorable but Ken Jeong really pulled the cast together
