My mom recalls living here in the 80's, she was barely 6 years old, when rebels broke into her house and shot my grandpa, for no reasont. Fly high, grandpa. I hope your okay up there in heaven...
I guess they are called "freedom liberator" in the west but right down here are "Destroyers of Democracy" many problems did happened beacuse the US, we didn't had a strong political goverment, everytime the US or salvadoreans capture a city, town, or just a place where people live they would hold them hostage, and interogate them.
be quiet, i am from el salvador, the USA didnt even have that big of a military presence, the salvadoran goverment would have ended up still buying planes, also the guerillas literally put an IED in a civilian bus 2 times
@@CoburnSawyer Half of the killings of civilians was caused by the Salvadoran Government, tbh I support the FMLN in this war because of how they tried to get rid of the dictatorship in the country (I was born in El Salvador) although I don’t support both ideologies I would say FMLN was more right in the war then the military, and the USA played a pretty big factor in the war, just by giving aid to the Salvadoran government is a lot.
