ADDC 2024 - Cristina Gutierrez - Taurus T3 Max - Challenger Class

Round 2 of the W2RC Championship took place recently in the western region of Abu Dhabi's vast desert expanse. Abu Sports Council sponsored the event and EMSO provided excellent organization of the 5 specials and the rest of the hard work that goes into such a Motorsport event. Cristina enters her Red Bull Racing Taurus T3 for this tough 5 day event. Cristina is of course well known for her vast experience in the Extreme E off road series and also her great accomplishments on the Dakar over the last few years. The team are seen at the prologue start in Ruwais and then at the start of the final special, SS5 at about 280kms in total distance. The crew get the Taurus home in 10th place in their class despite the mechanical issues over the previous 5 days. However, Cristina is flying on SS5 and takes the Challenger win in 2.35.12s and only 12.35s off the equally quick Nasser Al Attiyah in the Qatar Hunter. Her SS5 position an incredible 6th overall. A super drive.
