EA need to make FUT like Fifa 14 again. Few special cards, silvers were great, low rated players were fun to use and so was the gameplay. That is the perfect FUT.

When I was about 14 I got so addicted to opening packs, spending any money I had on packs, reckon I easily spent somewhere between 200-500 quid on packs. Without sounding ridiculous I genuinely think it was a spin off of a gambling addiction, now I’m older I don’t even think about spending money on packs. It’s a dangerous game.

Maybe there could be a way of incorporating the wheel in a career mode game? Things like bench your best player, sell your highest rated player, career mode can get kind of boring but with the extra game on top you might enjoy it
I am very keen to comment here and this is before I've watched this video but I just want to say off the bat that these podcast videos are so refreshing and relaxing and I like how open minded everything is. Especially to just relate to something I've grown up with as well it brings me a sense of nostalgia that I massively enjoyed during my early teens back when I first started secondary school. I would come home most days or wake up early and watch your content and it thoroughly made my day if I'm honest. I'm 17 now and I've known you since I was 10. I watched you during FIFA 14 and FIFA 15 when you hit 1 Million subs and back then FIFA was just at it's ultimate prime, especially with ultimate team. I haven't touched FIFA since FIFA 17 but it's basically the same game year after year after year and instead of doing yearly updates they launch a whole new game where mechanically, nothing has changed and it's like paying a subscription fee just to play the damn game. I've noticed this correlates to your channel as well considering you haven't hit 2 Million Subs yet (not to be rude but just that the growth of your channel has dwindled) but I just had so much more enjoyment of your FIFA videos back when I enjoyed it and you enjoyed playing and making them as well. But I'm glad you've expanded into Hashtag and I thoroughly enjoy the other content you put out there as well as how you've grown up as a person as well. I haven't changed yet mate and I don't intend to for a long time :)

Ever sense fifa 15 wheel of fortune I have been watching you and your the reason I bought fifa 15 and am still playing fifa 21 to this day. I can not express how much you and your channels mean to me. I used to get in trouble for how loud I would play your vids and my mom and dad would get annoyed of your accent. I even had Parfitt Williams and Zarate in my squad as my lucky charms. I still remember when you packed inform Ronaldo and I watched the video and was absolutely livid. Your vids were my childhood. I live in the USA and i tried getting my parents to fly me out for the Wembley cup. I know I'm going on but I just wanted to let you know that those FIFA vids really meant a lot for so many people and it is sad to see the end of an era. Love to see candid and honest conversations like these. I stopped buying and playing back at 16 because I realised if I won, I didn’t really care, but if I lost I’d be fuming. UT points used to account for maybe 10% of my real life wage too, which would’ve been better spent on almost anything else.
Wheel of Futune is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, not just fifa but series in general ever. I’ve watched them many times but if Spen doggy dog doesn’t feel the same way we do about it then I really respect it. It would be the same if he pushes himself to do it without having the same attitude, it wouldn’t be the same feeling. Still a lot of respect and love, keep it up man👍🏼
What a great video Spen. As someone that only does a NO FIFA points RTG every single year and is trying to grow as a content creator ... It's impossible. Not only has the game changed, because of how the game has changed, so has what holds an audience. Packs, Packs, Packs ... People just want to see packs ... without points ... you can't "Full Send" every stream/video ... Crazy to me how people can justify £1000's every year for the lack of value
i use to watch your fifa content a few years back now when you first made hashtag FC and in all fairness i fell out a love with fifa, a lot like yourself. it’s amazing to see a genuine guy come out and tell truth regarding facts and statistics about fifa in the modern day regarding content. honestly mate, keep up the great work. we need a bit more honesty on this platform lol

Don't go changin'.. Been a fan for a long time and fully agree with what you're saying. FIFA has changed, you have changed, the WORLD has changed. I mean, when I started following you I was partying my behind off 3 days a week. Now I'm a responsible father and work with compliance in the software industry. You always said, don't go changing.. well.. you did, I did, the world did go changin'. That's life. I'll never say that I wouldn't like a new series of The Wheel of Futune, I do however completely understand where you are coming from and fully support you. A tiny part of me wants one more series of the wheel of futune that's disappointing and not enjoyable. Just to stop watching and thinking 'alright, never asking for this series again'.

I used to thoroughly enjoy the FIFA content back some years ago, then it got to a point where I felt I outgrew it a bit. I stop watching the channel for a while after that but I've always respected what you do. I have definitely tuned in again this year, I love what you've built with Hashtag and the content you are making now appeals a lot more to me now as someone who's grown up a little. This is so relatable when it comes to the fifa gameplay, all the teams are the same otherwise you won't win and it just takes out the joy creating a team with players you like. Only difference is that I still put too many hours in the game. Great video Spen!

I love videos like this, they help me take stock on what’s important to do with gaming etc, Fifa is something I do as a hobby, and it’s always good to have a check on that to think if it’s still fun as it can get pretty negative pretty quickly

Love the video, Spen! I completely understand what you’re saying around FIFA & reasoning for not wanting to bring back WOF. The game has developed into such a pay to play game & it’s simply not fun to play anymore. I still fall into the category of playing FUT Champs most weekends to get the rewards, but where I used to be a player to be push getting 20 wins, I’m now in the struggle to get to 14 & it’s half because I’m not prepared to put money into this game. However not putting money into the game then means you have to grind the game in the hope of getting good rewards, which never comes for me. Loving the new style of content you’re putting out, Spen! Of course gutted to not have another episode of WOF coming out, because still to this day it’s one of my favourite series on RUclips, but completely understand why you don’t want to do it! You need to be able to enjoy what you’re putting out & fair play to you. Keep up the good work mate 👍🙏

Spot on with this. Every game on fifa 21 is a fight to the death. Even friendlies now have objectives and matchmaking so are basically just Div Rivals in another format.

If you enjoy Career Mode, you should do a series, especially if you value the journey so much. It would also be a throwback, because back in the day many RUclipsr's started their journey with Career Mode before moving into FUT.

Fully agree. Stopped playing when divisions left. It’s not for me anymore, playing a couple games in the mix of looking after my lads. It’s not for the casual player anymore. I went to career too. I love it, but I do miss those old chilled out divisions games.
This is why I hate Esports, it ruins fun for average players who just want to have fun playing the game and it is making try hards be the norm. There is a reason they try hards are shunned by a lot of the gaming community because they make raise the standard to an unreachable point where if you want to have fun you have commit half your day (or half your savings) to getting better or at least keep up skill wise.

Probably one of my favourite videos for a very different reason. This is the kind of video which needs to be made a lot more often. Real, reality truth! I LOVED wheel of futune BUT I always fell OUT of love for the exact same reason you stopped. I haven't played Ultimate team in years and I think stronger regulations are needed for what is essentially gambling on a game aimed for kids and young adults
I agree with you here on most points . This is the first Fifa that I haven’t spent money on points as I just can’t justify it anymore. I also think sometimes RUclipsrs are part of the problem. I understand the need to produce content for views in order to earn a living but when people see RUclipsrs packing the best players they then think that they have a chance to do the same. However what they probably don’t realise is how much money they actually put into the game. This is where I think things should change and people should be more open and honest like you have in this video. If only others could and would be willing to do the same then maybe EA would listen and things might change.
Wheel Of Futune is one of my favourite series, but really enjoyed everything since Forever Blowin. If you did an FM series, you should do one similar to the one you did with Hugh Whizzy and True Geordie about 6 years ago
This might sound a bit dramatic, but when I finally stopped playing Fifa it did wonders for my mental health. It was such an incredibly frustrating game (still is I'm sure). I never felt like I got out of it what I put into it so I'm not surprised you don't enjoy it as much as you used to. I don't see how anyone could the older they get and the more versions of it they play. Admire your honesty Spencer and at this point in your youtube career it makes sense to branch out a bit and try different things.
The best content is always when the RUclipsr has a genuine interest in it and enjoys making the content, if thats not the case anymore then I admire that decision, it would be easy to carry on and make low quality content for money, but you know that's not right.
What you're feeling now I started feeling after Fifa 19. I get what you're saying that at some point you just don't enjoy grinding out 40 games every week for packs/players for a whole year. Only to restart the next year when the new fifa comes out. But i do still LOVE career mode. That's the only thing I've been playing for the past couple years or Pro Clubs whenever my days off align with my friends days off.

I'm 33 so maybe I'm at a similar point to you (minus the son on the way, congrats for that of course!), but I think a big thing about reaching your 30s is the change of mindset to, I just want to do what makes me and the ones I love happy. That's what matters, not what anyone else thinks.

Been a fan for a long time and fully agree with what you're saying. FIFA has changed, you have changed, the WORLD has changed. I mean, when I started following you I was partying my behind off 3 days a week. Now I'm a responsible father and work with compliance in the software industry. You always said, don't go changing.. well.. you did, I did, the world did go changin'. That's life.
I'll never say that I wouldn't like a new series of The Wheel of Futune, I do however completely understand where you are coming from and fully support you.
A tiny part of me wants one more series of the wheel of futune that's disappointing and not enjoyable. Just to stop watching and thinking 'alright, never asking for this series again'.

I loved that series but I respect your descion, you’ve come along way and I feel like I seen you grow throughout the years. I remember the borrussia dortmund career, Oviedo and the Bobby Moore series🙏🏼
I used to thoroughly enjoy the FIFA content back some years ago, then it got to a point where I felt I outgrew it a bit. I stop watching the channel for a while after that but I've always respected what you do. I have definitely tuned in again this year, I love what you've built with Hashtag and the content you are making now appeals a lot more to me now as someone who's grown up a little. Looking forward to what's to come. Always a class act Spencer.

Fifa 17 was by far the most enjoyable game for me and I've seen some people agree as well. Since then I've just been chasing that feeling of enjoyment but it's nowhere near the same, in fact each year it gets worse. So yeah agree with Spenc in 99% of things he just said

This is so relatable when it comes to the fifa gameplay, all the teams are the same otherwise you won't win and it just takes out the joy creating a team with players you like. Only difference is that I still put too many hours in the game. Great video Spen!

I love videos like this, they help me take stock on what’s important to do with gaming etc, Fifa is something I do as a hobby, and it’s always good to have a check on that to think if it’s still fun as it can get pretty negative pretty quickly

Love the video, Spen! I completely understand what you’re saying around FIFA & reasoning for not wanting to bring back WOF. The game has developed into such a pay to play game & it’s simply not fun to play anymore. I still fall into the category of playing FUT Champs most weekends to get the rewards, but where I used to be a player to be push getting 20 wins, I’m now in the struggle to get to 14 & it’s half because I’m not prepared to put money into this game. However not putting money into the game then means you have to grind the game in the hope of getting good rewards, which never comes for me. Loving the new style of content you’re putting out, Spen! Of course gutted to not have another episode of WOF coming out, because still to this day it’s one of my favourite series on RUclips, but completely understand why you don’t want to do it! You need to be able to enjoy what you’re putting out & fair play to you. Keep up the good work mate 👍🙏
I used to be an Elite 2 or 3 player every weekend and now I struggle to even play 15 games (not win) because its simply not enjoyable, we really need a time machine for this game

Spot on with this. Every game on fifa 21 is a fight to the death. Even friendlies now have objectives and matchmaking so are basically just Div Rivals in another format.

If you enjoy Career Mode, you should do a series, especially if you value the journey so much.
It would also be a throwback, because back in the day many RUclipsr's started their journey with Career Mode before moving into FUT.

Fully agree. Stopped playing when divisions left. It’s not for me anymore, playing a couple games in the mix of looking after my lads. It’s not for the casual player anymore. I went to career too. I love it, but I do miss those old chilled out divisions games.
This is why I hate Esports, it ruins fun for average players who just want to have fun playing the game and it is making try hards be the norm. There is a reason they try hards are shunned by a lot of the gaming community because they make raise the standard to an unreachable point where if you want to have fun you have commit half your day (or half your savings) to getting better or at least keep up skill wise.

Probably one of my favourite videos for a very different reason. This is the kind of video which needs to be made a lot more often. Real, reality truth! I LOVED wheel of futune BUT I always fell OUT of love for the exact same reason you stopped. I haven't played Ultimate team in years and I think stronger regulations are needed for what is essentially gambling on a game aimed for kids and young adults
I agree with you here on most points . This is the first Fifa that I haven’t spent money on points as I just can’t justify it anymore. I also think sometimes RUclipsrs are part of the problem. I understand the need to produce content for views in order to earn a living but when people see RUclipsrs packing the best players they then think that they have a chance to do the same. However what they probably don’t realise is how much money they actually put into the game. This is where I think things should change and people should be more open and honest like you have in this video. If only others could and would be willing to do the same then maybe EA would listen and things might change.

Wheel Of Futune is one of my favourite series, but really enjoyed everything since Forever Blowin. If you did an FM series, you should do one similar to the one you did with Hugh Whizzy and True Geordie about 6 years ago
This might sound a bit dramatic, but when I finally stopped playing Fifa it did wonders for my mental health. It was such an incredibly frustrating game (still is I'm sure). I never felt like I got out of it what I put into it so I'm not surprised you don't enjoy it as much as you used to. I don't see how anyone could the older they get and the more versions of it they play. Admire your honesty Spencer and at this point in your youtube career it makes sense to branch out a bit and try different things.
The best content is always when the RUclipsr has a genuine interest in it and enjoys making the content, if thats not the case anymore then I admire that decision, it would be easy to carry on and make low quality content for money, but you know that's not right.
What you're feeling now I started feeling after Fifa 19. I get what you're saying that at some point you just don't enjoy grinding out 40 games every week for packs/players for a whole year. Only to restart the next year when the new fifa comes out. But i do still LOVE career mode. That's the only thing I've been playing for the past couple years or Pro Clubs whenever my days off align with my friends days off.
