I recon you could give DX Commander a run for his money with that kit 😂😂
I'd need a bigger antenna field , I think I'll stick to software.
I stumbled across your video about station master and your station. Very cool and I wonder how this work with ethernet control of a K4 or flex radio.
Hi, It supports various rig control options, I know people are using with a flex so that should work oh. K4 should be simple too.
Hi Stu, nice video. Having seen your video the “Home Secretary “ has canned my idea of a hex, must be stealthy, my sources tell me a delta loop?
Haha, sorry ! Never tried a delta loop, I think a moxon may be a good option if you're looking for a beam that's not as imposing as a hex.
Nice bungalow. How the other half live!
Just a shame it's rented :)
@@G5STUHa ha indeed! I bet that's some serious rent too!
Hopefully station master will make your fortune!
Hi Stu, just wondering what the advantages are of running the DXCommander alongside the Hexbeam as the Hex does it all and the Dipole as well I guess. Would be interested to hear how they all compare. Cheers Pete
Hi Pete. The beam is great if you're aiming to work one direction but signals from elsewhere will be down, the vertical allows me to have 360 degree in one ear to listen out for other callers. Also, if I'm aiming to work anyone from anywhere I'd be on the vertical and only swing the beam round if I needed and extra few db to complete the contact, also my hex does not do 40m, so if I'm trying to dx on 40 I'd be on the vertical rather than the 40m dipole, the vertical wins over the dipole most the time on the longer hops. Thanks, Stu
Did you make it bro
No I just put it together , only took about an hour .
